(Love in the rain)

“I’m alright here,” Amelia glared at him.

“But, it’s not safe in this kind of place alone,” Henry muttered, taking his hand to her face.

“Stop!” Amelia slapped his hand away.

“I am waiting for someone and the person will come, go away,” She glared at him.

“Don’t tell me you’re waiting for the king? Isn’t it obvious that he’s busy with something more important to him?”

“That’s not true. The rain must be stalling him,” Amelia glared at him. “Leave me alone,”

Henry clenched his hand around the umbrella handle and spat, “He has stood you up. It’s almost 10 pm. It’s not safe for you to be out here alone!”

“Your parents were so worried that they sent me here!” Henry revealed.

“Well, tell them not to worry about me. I’m not a baby anymore. I will get home when I can!” She snapped.

Henry was stunned once again by her sudden boldness. She used to be so timid.

“So, do you plan on staying here until midnight???” Henry gasped.

“Yes. I can even stay until 4 am. It’s none of your business!” Amelia yelled at him. “Leave me alone!”

“Fine, I’ll leave you alone for now…I’ll be hanging around in case you need me,” Henry said, then gritted his teeth.

The plans he had were automatically ruined by her stubbornness.

“I don’t need you, go to hell!” Amelia snapped at him.

“Alright, there’s no need to get so annoyed,” He sighed and began walking away.

“Do you need the umbrella?” He asked, but she ignored him.

He continued walking away, leaving Amelia.

“Asher, where are you?” Amelia asked herself, shivering from the cold. “Please meet me here…”

She spent another hour enduring the cold wind and rain, but Asher didn’t show up. Amelia’s eyes got teary and her face reddened.

She felt a bit sad that he didn’t show up or care to send her a text.

“Why did he leave me here?” Amelia blinked rapidly. “Did something happen to him?”

She managed to bring out her phone and send the sixteenth worried texts to him.

“Ash…” Amelia pouted.

She was on the brink of tears. She was so worried about his safety.

“Amelia, he’s not coming. Let’s go home!” Henry appeared out of nowhere.

“Let’s go!”

Amelia sniffed a bit and decided to succumb.

“Okay, let’s go home…” Amelia sighed and began walking away from the shelter where she stayed.

He ran after her and covered her with an umbrella.

“You will get wet, stay close to me,” He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.

“Let go of me!” Amelia pushed him away and stepped away from the umbrella. “The rain is simply drizzling. I don’t need you to touch me or force me under your stupid umbrella. Do you think this a movie or what!”

“Amelia, I care for you…”

“Care? You don’t know the meaning of that word,” She yelled.

“I know you’re hurt because I cheated, but I was drunk. It wasn’t my fault…”

“Oh, you were drunk on the second, third, and fourth night too. Were you also drunk when you f-__-ked her in my mother’s backyard!” Amelia yelled.

“I had needs that you refused to satisfy. You didn’t want to sleep with me or even allow me to finger you,”

“I was a young girl. I didn’t wanna get pregnant or be burdened with more humiliation than what my parents have done to me. I thought that you would understand that, but you turned out to be a jerk!” Amelia cried out.

“I’m sorry, Amy,”

“Don’t call me that,” Amelia warned.

“Amy, I love you. I never stopped. Please give me a chance,” Henry pleaded.

“I like someone else now. I don’t care about you anymore. You can rot in hell for all I care,” Amelia spat.

“Amy you like him because he’s handsome, rich, and nice to you. You don’t love him,” Henry stepped closer to her and dropped the umbrella on the floor. “You love me…”

“Stop being delusional,” Amelia spat in irritation.

“Am I?”
“You can’t deny that you love me and feel this pain every time you see me. You are having that feeling because you still love me,” Henry smiled.

“Henry, I don’t love you…” Amelia shook her head. “I stopped loving you a long time ago,”

“No, you love me and I can prove it,”

“You disgust me,” Amelia rolled her eyes and turned away.

“Amy,” He followed her
and suddenly grabbed the back of her neck.

He slammed his lips on hers, kissing her deeply.

Amelia tried pushing him away, but he wrapped his strong arms around her.

As he kissed her, Asher, who had arrived a few seconds ago, had the worst heartbreak ever.

He had defied his mother and risked losing his throne for Amelia. Now, he was watching her getting kissed by her ex.

“I guess this was what Mother talked about. I fall too easily,” Asher muttered and began walking away, drenched in the rain.
