(A date with the king)

Amelia was so afraid, she thought that it was the masked man but it turned out to be Henry.

“Henry,” Amelia gasped.

“Hey beautiful,” Henry smiled at her.

“Don’t call me that!” Amelia snapped.

“Why not?” He winked at her.

“Henry, why are you here?” Amelia asked curiously.

“I’m here to win over your heart,” Henry said, seriously.

“Are you out of your mind!” Amelia glared at him.

“Calm down, I was just joking,” Henry laughed.

“It’s not funny. You can’t cheat on me and then laugh with me like we are buddies. You should stay away from me,” Amelia glared at him.

As she was about to walk away, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him.

“Let me go!” She struggled with him.

“Amelia, I’m sorry for everything. I’m so sorry for cheating on you. I know that an apology can’t solve anything, but it’s all I have,” Henry muttered.

“I don’t care about what you have. If you were considerate about my feelings then you wouldn’t be living at my house. It’s like an emotional torture!” Amelia uttered, her voice shaking

“Amelia, I’m sorry for putting you through all of this. But I want to make amends for breaking your heart. I want your forgiveness,” Henry said.

“Henry, let go of me!”

“Amelia,” Henry whispered.

“Let go of her,” Asher ordered, walking towards them.

Amelia’s eyes widened at the sight of him.

Asher got to them and with one pull, he got Amelia away from Henry.

Henry recognized him as the king, but he got confused by Asher’s reaction.

“Your majesty,” Henry greeted, bowing his head a bit.

“You’re not allowed to harass Amelia again or I’ll put you through so much hell that you’ll desire death like it’s the air you breath,” Asher sneered.

Amelia was always surprised with Asher’s constant switch of character, but she loved how he always defended her.

“Why are you thr_@tening me?” Henry asked.

“Amelia and I are going on a date and you’re interrupting us,”Asher smirked.

“A date!” Henry exclaimed.

“No, a day,” Asher glared at him. “Is English a problem for you, so I can speak another language?”

“You’re dating Amelia,” Henry stuttered.

“He doesn’t understand English, does he?” Asher asked Amelia, who had a blank look on her face.

“Let’s go, Lia,” Asher said, pulling her away from there.

Henry was left speechless.

°°°°
Asher drove her over to the ranch where his parents used to take him.

He parked on the empty field, and then helped Amelia out of the car.

“Thanks,” Amelia smiled, holding his hand.

“My parents used to bring me to this place,” Asher smiled, glancing at her.

“But there’s nothing here,” Amelia muttered.

“Yeah, there isn’t,” Asher replied. “You just have to sit on the grass and stare at the sky,”

Amelia thought he would take her to a fancy restaurant but the king seemed simpler than that. He was so adorable.

“Nice,” Amelia giggled. “Can I sit down here?”

“Yes, you can,” Asher smiled and sat down first.

Amelia sat afterwards and smiled at him. They just kept smiling at each other.

“So, Amelia tell me about yourself,” Asher requested.

Amelia began telling him a few things about her life. She hid the fact that her family always maltreated her. She talked more about polly than her family.

“Polly seems like a nice friend. I have a best friend too and he’s name is Dominic. We’ve known each other for a long time and he’s amazing. He might act crazy at times, but he’s always there for me,” Asher uttered.

“That’s nice, but polly is my best friend,”

“What about your twin sister?” Asher asked and noticed how her smile vanished. He didn’t know what the problem was, but he didn’t want to hurt her in the process of finding out.

“She’s okay,” Amelia stammered, her lips trembling a little.

The mention of her sister’s name always made her afraid. Emma had been such a torment to her.

Asher noticed how her fingers were suddenly shaking and held her hands.

“You don’t have to talk about it. Let’s not ruin our date…” Asher uttered softly and kissed her lips for a second.

“I want you to close your eyes. I have something to show you,” Asher instructed.

Amelia nodded and closed her eyes for a while.

“You can open them,”

Amelia opened her eyes and was stunned by the lights and the appearance of false yet beautiful buildings and flowers. The technology was amazing.

“Wow,” Amelia gasped.

“This is amazing,” Amelia laughed.

“I have more to show you, my Amelia,” Asher smiled.

°°°°
After the amazing date, Asher drove her home. He dropped her on the spot he dropped her that day and she went into her house.

As Amelia got in, her parents and twin sister were watching the television.

“Good evening,” She greeted, but none of them responded.

A knock suddenly came on the door and she had to turn back to open it. As she swung it open, she gasped at thd sight of Asher.

“Asher…”

“Can I come in?” Asher smiled.

Amelia couldn’t say no, so she got out of the way.

Asher stepped into the sitting room and everyone turned their gazes to him. They were shocked.

“The king,” Mr Muffin gasped and stood to his feet.

“Your majesty,” Mrs Muffin stood up as well and bowed to him.

Emma was so captivated by how handsome he was she couldn’t take his eyes off him.

“Your majesty, what are you doing here?” Mr Muffin asked.

“Your majesty, have we committed any offence?”

“No, you haven’t,” Asher smiled.

‘Not yet,’ Asher frowned inwardly.

“Are you here to ask for my daughter’s hand in marriage?” Mrs Muffin pointed at Emma.

Emma’s heart fluttered when she heard her mother’s words. She looked at Asher and butterflies roamed in her.

“No, I’m here for someone else,” Asher said, walking to Amelia and holding her hand.

He moved his hand to her waist and smiled, “I’m here to court Amelia. I want to be in a relationship with her,”

They were all shocked, especially Emma.

Emma looked at Amelia with thick hatred.

‘No, this can’t be happening. He’s mine!’
