💠 Chapter 34 💠

Oscar’s POV

Brianna called this morning and asked us to meet up at the restaurant we met previously. It’s surprising to me and I’m kind of nervous because I have no idea about what she wants to say.

Could it be that she wants to break all ties with me? Since she now works for Ryan, he might have told her to never see me again.

I don’t know why Ryan Santiago is interested in Brianna. He only sleeps with classy girls and Brianna is just a random girl to him.

I raised my head and caught sight of Brianna as she entered the restaurant. The nervous feeling became stronger and my palms got sweaty.

“Good morning Oscar” she greeted with a smile and sat before me

“Morning Brianna” I managed to say with a small smile

“Is something wrong?” she asked staring keenly at me

“What are you talking about? Everything is fine. Why did you ask to see me?” I asked changing the topic

“Well, I have something to tell you” she said and rubbed her palm against each other

She’s nervous to tell me which means I was right. She’s really going to cut all ties with me today because of Ryan Santiago. How will I be able to move on when I’m completely smitten by her?

I feel like I will never be able to get married to anyone in my lifetime. I don’t think I can ever love anyone the way I love her.

The moment I saw her lips started moving, I shut my eyes tight and waited for my fate.

“I want us to…..start dating” she said and I slowly opened my eyes

“W…what did you say?” I asked

It was my turn to stutter now because there’s no way I could have heard her right.

“You love me but I honestly don’t have that kind of feeling towards you. I want us to date for a month and see if I can fall in love with you” she said clearly

“Are you saying you have agreed to become my girlfriend?” I asked to be sure

“Yes, I will be your girlfriend” she smiled

“Oh my goodness! I can’t believe this! This is the best news I’ve ever received in my life. Can I hug you?” I asked happily

“Sure!” she said and stood up

I hugged her tight like my life depends on it and I didn’t want to let her go.

“I have to leave now or else I will be late for work” she said and I quickly pulled away

“I’m so sorry. Let’s go together so I can drop you off” I said and led the way

After opening the passengers seat for her, I turned around to the driver’s seat and I drove to her company.

“I’ll call you at night” I said with a smile

“Alright. Thank you” she smiled back and got down from the car

Wow! I’m the happiest guy in earth right now. I never knew a day will come when Brianna would accept my love for her.

Brianna’s POV

I heaved a deep sigh after Oscar’s car was out of sight. I hope I’m making the right decision and I also hope things work out between Oscar and I.

I went to my office and dropped my bag after which I prepared coffee for Ryan. I don’t want to listen to any of his rants today so I’ll make sure I do everything he wants without complaining.

I knocked on his door and waited for a “come in” before opening the door.

“Your coffee” I said and dropped the tray on his table

“Wow! Did you just knock before coming into my office?” he asked with a scoff

“If it wasn’t a knock, was it a kick?” I asked sarcastically

“Whatever! I knew you wouldn’t change so easily” he mumbled and took the coffee

“Do you need me to do any other thing for you?” I asked

“No, it’s fine. You can leave” he said and dropped the coffee

I nodded my head and turned around to leave, but just when I was about getting to the door, he stopped me.

“Bree!” he called out

Bree? Did he just call me Bree? Only my Dad calls me that so how did he know?

“What did you just say?” I asked and slowly turned around

“It’s nothing, you can leave” he said after a few seconds of silence

“No, I don’t want to. What did you call me just now?” I asked again while he stared at me confusedly

“What did I call you? I called you Bree. What? You don’t like it? Well, start liking it because that’s what I will call you from now on” he said and continued working on his laptop

From the look of things, he seemed to have just called me Bree innocently. I blinked back the tears that were beginning to form in my eyes and left his office.

Why did he have to remind me of my Dad today? My Dad was the only one that cared about me when he was alive.

He would always take me out and buy a lot of things for me even though we were just an average family. My smile meant the world to him and anytime I was sad, he always did everything in his power to make sure I became happy almost immediately.

I don’t know how Ryan came to know about that name but hearing it from him makes me feel somehow.

Donna’s POV

“So how is it going?” I asked Mia as I sipped from my drink

She came to see me at my mansion after I called her. I don’t want to be seen with her publicly yet so Ryan won’t catch on quickly.

“It’s going smoothly just like we wanted. We will be going out for dinner tomorrow so it’s only a matter of time before we get what we want” she said

“I trust you and I know you won’t let me down. Thank you for helping me this time and please don’t hesitate to let me know whenever you need my help” I said with a smile

“Sure! But are you sure you don’t love him anymore? You don’t even feel anything for him?” she asked

“Why? Are you starting to like him already?” I asked with a smirk

“You should know me very well by now. Even if I was to like a guy, it definitely won’t be Ryan Santiago. I hate men that think so highly of themselves and more than that, I hate men that treat ladies like trash.

Unfortunately, he possesses those two qualities so there’s no way I can ever like him. Now, do you still feel anything for him?” she asked again

“If there’s anything I feel for him, then it’s pure hatred. I want to curse him but there was once a time I liked him do I’m going to stop after I get my revenge” I said

“That’s good to know then. You shouldn’t waste your time liking scumbags like him. I have to leave now, else I’ll be late for my shoot” she said and stood up

“Sure, take care”

I waved at her until she left. Finally, Ryan is going to regret ever breaking up with me like I’m a nobody.
