Val has always disliked her brother’s bully of a best friend who thinks he’s the most desirable guy on earth and that every girl wants him.

Nate has been Psalm’s best friend since they could walk and had bullied his sister with him since childhood. To him, Val is worthy to be mocked and teased only.
