Zoey’s POV
The clumsy PA that Andrian employed recently annoys me a lot. She’s really beautiful and I’m beginning to feel insecure. Andrian might just fall in love with her and forget about me.
I was still thinking about that when I bumped into her. Ohh no, not again.
I pulled her back and slapped her after she tried walking out on me but the cold look she gave me send shivers down my spine.
“Andrian, you need to fire the new PA you employed” I said to Andrian when I got to his office
“And why should I do that?” he asked with a scoff
“She disrespects me a lot. You won’t believe she almost slapped me today”
“Really? You mean Skylar tried to slap you?”
“Of course. Don’t you believe me?”
“I do. Get me my PA” Andrian said referring to his secretary through the intercom and Skylar came in few minutes later
“Sir, you sent for me” Skylar’s voice sounded. She has this intimidating aura around her
“Yeah. Have you seen this lady before?” Andrian asked raising his head to look at her
“Yes sir”
“So you tried slapping her today? Do you know who she is to me? Andrian asked making my head swell with pride
“I didn’t try slapping her sir. We kind of bumped into each other and she was even the one that slapped me” she explained calmly
“That still doesn’t give you the right to try slapping her. I’m going to punish you for this later so get lost for now” Andrian said making a little frown creep into my face
“Why didn’t you punish her now? You might forget later on” I said after Skylar left the office
“You know I don’t forget things easily. I will surely deal with her later on”
He’s back to his grumpy self, not like I’m not used to it already
Skylar’s POV
I was surprised when I got in and met the lady I had bumped into.
Doesn’t she has any shame? She reported a female like her to a guy.
I’m sure the only reason why she had the guts to report me is because I didn’t deal with her and she won’t be so lucky next time.
That reminds me, boss said he was going to punish me. I wonder what kind of punishment he’s going to give me and I hope he’s not going to fire me because this is the only job I rely upon now.
I closed for the day and as usual, I got into the car that brought me to work and sat quietly as the driver took me home. In no time, we got home.
I went to my room to freshen up before making dinner.
“Big sis, welcome. How was work today?”
“It was fine lil sis. How was school?”
“It was fine sis but you know I have to pay my tuition soon”
“Ohh…. Yeah! I will talk to the boss about it”
“Thanks sis”
How am I going to talk to the boss when he has made it clear to me to stay away from him? Gosh! This is so complicated
I proceeded to the kitchen to prepare dinner and in no time, I was done.
I dished out my Avery’s food and took it to her room. She wasn’t as grumpy as she was yesterday and I’m grateful for that.
I would have dished boss’ food but I don’t want it to get cold so I guess I just have to keep an eye on him until he comes back.
I took my food and my sister’s own to our room which we ate to our till.
After we finished, I started hearing noises downstairs. Sir Andrian is probably back home.
How do I go to the kitchen without coming in contact with him?
I opened the door and spotted him heading for his room. Thank goodness! This is my chance.
I hurriedly picked the plates I used to eat with Ella before going to the kitchen to dish his food.
I placed it on the dinning table carefully before covering it and I quickly went back to my room.
Andrian’s POV
I know I promised Zoey to punish Skylar but I can’t just bring myself to do it and I don’t know why.
I mean I despise ladies and Skylar is not supposed to be an exception but I just don’t understand.
Sometimes I just feel like knowing the real lady behind that mask. She proves to be tough and strong but something keeps telling me that’s just a facade.
I freshened up and went back downstairs and I was surprised when I met a plate of food covered in the dinning.
I’m sure this wasn’t here when I came in so how did it get here.
Ohh… I understand. I remember telling Skylar not to ever cross paths with me in this house and it looks like she’s adhering strictly to that. Incredible!
I started eating my food slowly and not too long after, a call came into my phone.
I checked the caller and discovered it was Mason. What does he wants now?
I reluctantly picked the call.
“Mr Andrian of C. A. company, how are you doing today?”
“Just go straight to the point Mason” I said through gritted teeth
“Come on Andrian, I’m trying to be friendly here”
“And I don’t need your fake friendship. Why did you call?”
“Let’s meet at a the new club opened recently” he said making me scoff
“Are you kidding or what?”
“Of course I’m serious. Let’s settle our differences”
“Really? So because you won this contract, you think you are on top of the world now right?”
“No. Okay, let’s just meet up and have fun for tonight then tomorrow we can go back to being rivals”
I wanted to decline but on a second thought, it’s being long I have fun so going with him won’t be a bad idea.
“Alright. I will be there”
“Okay, thanks. Can you please come along with your PA?”
“Why should I come with my PA?”
“I like her. You don’t like ladies so you shouldn’t care about that”
“Well, this one is off limits. She belongs to me and no one else.”
“Ohh…. but can I at least see her?”
“Alright” I groaned and ended the call
Why did I say Skylar is off limits? Worst still, I said she belongs to me!
“Skylar get dressed, I need you to accompany me to somewhere” I said into the intercom.
