Andrian’s POV
*The next day*
Skylar woke me up in the morning to take my bath. Surprisingly, she was already dressed.
“Didn’t you sleep?” I asked after staring at her for a while
“I slept, I only woke up early. The time is 7:00 already, stand up and go and bath”
I sluggishly stood up and went to the bathroom. After about twenty to twenty five minutes, I was done wearing my clothes.
“What else?” I asked Skylar when I was done
“Nothing. I already called the guards to take our bags”
“Let’s go then” I said leading the way
We were both wearing dark shades to avoid the media and public and I prayed within me that none of them should recognize us.
Thankfully, no one noticed us and we finally got into the private jet. I don’t know what awaits me when I return to USA but with Skylar by my side, I feel safe and somehow confident.
We arrived at USA few hours later. The guards helped us with our luggages and also covered us from being seen by the public.
When we got home safely without any trouble, I sighed in relief. The only thing left now is to investigate.
Normally, the first thing I should do is confirm Leah’s pregnancy and also carry out a test to know if the baby is mine but that will cause more problems for me.
The public already think I’m at fault so doing that will only confirm what Leah said.
I took out my phone to call my private investigator while Leah went upstairs to check up on the kids.
“Good day sir” he said when he picked the call
“Good day. How have you been?”
“I’ve been fine sir”
“That’s nice! I’m sure you must have heard about what is happening right?” I asked going straight to the point
“Yes sir”
“Good! I need you to help me confirm who the father of Leah’s baby is. I don’t know how you’ll do it but don’t let it exceed two weeks”
“On it sir”
“Thank you” I said and tossed my phone aside
I never knew Leah could do something like this, I only knew she’s a Ɓîtçh.
Skylar’s POV
When we arrived at the mansion, I went straight to Avery and Ella’s room to check up on them.
“Big sis!!” They screamed and hugged me when they saw me
“We missed you!” they said still hugging me
“I missed you more guys” I said rubbing their back
“So……. how was your honeymoon?” Avery asked giving me a knowing look
If only they knew I and Andrian didn’t do anything and our marriage is only based on a contract.
“It was good as you can see” I said with a faux smile
“We saw what Leah did” Ella said staring at my face for my reaction
“Yes and we know you’re not happy right?” Avery asked
“You don’t have to worry about things like that, just focus on your studies okay?”
“No, I don’t want to. Leah has crossed the line and I’m going to make sure she pays. If she hadn’t involved Andrian in this, maybe I would have just sit back and watch” Avery said angrily before leaving
“I will go talk to her” I said to Ella wanting to walk away
“Don’t stress yourself. Once Avery’s mind is made up, no one, not even her brother can change her mind” Ella said stopping me
“She’s really angry. If she goes to Leah like this, I think she will worsen things”
“We won’t know that if she doesn’t goes first” Ella said assuring me
I was about leaving when Ella came out dressed in a beautiful floral gown.
“I will be right back” she said and tried walking away
“Ella please stay out of this, I and Andrian will find a way out of this” I said holding her hand
“Nothing can stop me from going to see Leah today, not even Andrian. Don’t worry about me causing any trouble, I’m only going there to talk to her” she said with a smile before walking out
Leah’s POV
I sat down comfortably in my sitting room watching a programme on TV when some men suddenly barged in fully armed.
I stared at them a little scared until Avery walked in dressed in a gown that made her really beautiful. I shook the thought of my head and focused on her.
“Tell your guards to stop or I’ll ask my men to finish them without a second thought” she said coldly
Why am I seeing Andrian in her and why do I feel so scared?
“Leave them alone” I managed to say to my guards without stuttering
“Wait outside” Avery said to her guards
“M.. ma’am” they tried protesting
“It’s fine. My brother knows I’m here so she wouldn’t try something stupid” she said reassuring them before they finally stepped out
“So Leah….. Do you know you have trespassed?” she asked drawing a circle on the table
“How dare you talk to me in that manner?” I flared up
“I will advise you to be really really calm because at just a snap of my finger, your career will be on the line” she warned
“Are you threatening me?” I asked really annoyed
“It’s not a threat, it’s an advice” she said with a smirk
“You liked to the media about my brother and that single lie is about to make him miserable. If you love yourself and your not dearly, then I’ll advise you to go back to the media and tell them everything you said was a lie” she said and stood up
“Really? I’m not stupid to do that” I said smirking
She brought out a device from her gown. Who would ever know there’s something like this in the gown. This girl is definitely a witch!
She played a recording making my mouth drop open.
“That’s just a tip of the iceberg, make a wise decision” and with that, she stormed out of the house.
I’m doomed!!!
Andrian’s POV
It took a little while before Skylar came down, she must be having a good time with Avery and Ella.
“Is something wrong?” I asked noticing the look on her face
“Not really. Ella went to see Leah” she said and sat on the couch
“What? Who went to see who?” I asked turning to face her properly
“It’s fine. She said she only wants to talk to Ella and I made sure she went with a lot of guards” she said trying to calm me but I wasn’t buying it
“You should have told me about it first, she shouldn’t have gone to see Leah” I scolded
“Well she said no one, not even you could stop her from going and you know what that means” she said making me sigh in frustration
I decided to patiently wait for her return. I waited for over thirty minutes but there was still no sign of her.
Just when I was about going to bring her home, she walked in like a goddess with a huge smile on her face.
“Don’t ask me any question please, just know you have nothing to worry about concerning Leah. You will see it soon” she concluded before walking up the stairs while I stared in disbelief
What exactly is this girl up to?

Avery’s POV
I walked up the stairs with a smirk plaserered on my face. Leah must be dumb to think I will sit and watch her do whatever she likes to Andrian.
I know you must be confused about the recording I played so I’ll explain it.
*Flashback to the day Leah visited Andrian in his mansion*
Authoress POV
After Skylar saw Andrian and Leah K!SSing, she couldn’t sleep anymore so she went to see Audrey before going on a date with Mason from there.
Avery and Ella arrived from school and they noticed the unusual quietness in the house but they paid no attention to it because they were tired.
When they were done changing their clothes, Avery decided to go to the balcony and that was where she saw Leah.
Leah was on a call and she was backing Avery so she had no idea that someone was behind her.
“You can say that again. He’s so gullible and I’m sure he won’t think twice before accepting the pregnancy” Avery heard Leah say to the person on the other side of the phone.
“Of course! He’s the biggest fool I’ve ever come across. How can he just fall for a girl because of her body?
It doesn’t matter anyway. What matters most is for me to get his properties after pinning the pregnancy on him” Leah said again
“Alright bye” she disconnected the call and looked left and right to be sure no one saw her
Avery hid herself after seeing she was done with her call and only came out of her hiding place when Leah left.
Avery’s POV
That was what happened. I didn’t understand what she meant then, I would have prevented it from happening.
It was not until after I listened to what she told the public that I was able to pick the pieces together.
She’s pregnant for someone else but she wants to pin it on Andrian? She’s got to be kidding me.
I took out my phone and called her. I have to give her a deadline so Andrian’s business won’t be affected.
“Hello! This is Leah Roger on the line, please who is this?” Leah said making me scoff
“Avery Carter! I want you to take note of this also. You have only 24 hours to explain everything to the media, 24 hours or the recording goes viral with other evidences. The clock is ticking” I said sternly and ended the call
I’m a great learner, I can’t believe I spoke just like Andrian. Leah will have no choice now but to do as I said.
It’s going to affect her career a lot but I don’t care because she also didn’t care about Andrian’s reputation when she told those lies against him.
Leah’s POV
I screamed angrily after Avery ended the call. That dimwit! I was after Skylar thinking that will solve my problem but I never knew the real devil I was supposed to get rid of was Avery.
I should have gotten rid of her a long time ago. What am I supposed to do now that she poses a threat to me?
I thought deeply for a while but nothing was coming up. I was almost giving up when something occurred to me making a smile dance at the corner of my lips.
Avery Carter, you just crossed the line and you will definitely pay for it. I just feel sorry for your brother because he likes you so much.
I got up ready to go out when Zoey suddenly came in looking like a madwoman. What? I thought she had gone to Paris, why did she have to come back in the middle of all these?
I stared angrily at her until she walked to where I was standing.
“Leah, what happened? Who threatened you to say all those things? You could have called me for help and I’ll come running over” she rushed while I stared at her like she had gone nuts
I don’t even understand the question she’s asking me. I was expecting her to scream her lungs out but it’s the complete opposite, what’s going on?
“Answer me Leah! Who threatened you to say those things you said to the public yesterday?” she asked again and that was when it dawned on me
She doesn’t want to believe that I betrayed her, she’s trying to assure herself that someone must have threatened me.
Well, sorry friend but no one threatened me.
“I wasn’t threatened by anyone. Everything I said yesterday was the truth and the truth alone” I said without any feeling of remorse
She slowly took her hands off me and stared at the floor while shaking her head.
“It’s not true, you’re lying to me” she whimpered already in tears
“I have no reason to lie to you. I and Andrian have been dating for a while now and I’m pregnant for him”
“But you know I’ve always loved him, why did you do that?” she asked looking at me with tears in her eyes
“I’ve always loved him too and I can’t sacrifice my happiness for you. He was also in love with me until Skylar came into the picture and I’m not going to sit back and watch her take my man.
I’m going to get my Andrian back. Just wait and see!” I said with determination
“You don’t feel remorseful, do you?” Zoey managed to ask
“Yeah, I don’t. Why should I feel remorseful?” she said with an eyeroll
“It’s okay then. Just know our friendship is over as of today” Zoey said standing
“I was expecting that. Bye!” I said nonchalantly and went back inside
She can go to hell with her friendship for all I care.
I shouldn’t let Zoey ruin my good mood. Right now, I have to call someone important.
“Good day ma’am” a thick male voice said at the other end of the phone
“Good day Ray. How have you been?” I asked with a smile
“I’ve been doing great all thanks to you”
“That’s nice!”
“Yeah, but you should extremely happy. Do you have a job for us?” Raymond asked
That’s one of the reasons why I like him. He’s not just strong with a manly body, he’s also really smart.
“Yeah, I do. This time around, you won’t be killing anyone. I might eventually do the killing myself. I only want you to kidnap someone for me.
She’s just as smart as you are, if not even smarter than you so you have to be really careful. Just kidnap her and take her to the warehouse. I’ll meet you there tomorrow morning”
“Sure thing boss” he said and ended the call
I feel like flying right now. Everything is well planned out, it’s only a matter of time before Andrian becomes mine because the public are in support of me.
Tomorrow is definitely going to be the happiest day of my life!!
