✨Episode 17✨
Andrian’s POV
The doctor has been in Skylar’s ward for close to thirty minutes now and I haven’t heard anything from him.
The nurses have been coming in and out of her ward but none of them is willing to say a word to me.
I feel like a husband waiting for his pregnant wife in the labour room with the way I’m paying restlessly. Okay, that’s ridiculous but still, I’m really nervous.
After about fifteen minutes later, the doctor finally came out of the ward and I ran to him with all my strength.
“Doctor, how is she?” I asked trying to sound calm
“Meet me in my office” he said and walked away
Doesn’t this doctor knows me or is he just pretending not to? I will go for Skylar’s sake.
“So, Mr Andrian, I’m sorry I asked you to come here instead of answering your question, I had to wash the stains off my hands.”
“It’s okay doc. How is she? Is she awake?”
“No, she’s still sleeping but we need blood. The cut was kind of deep and I must say she’s a fighter to have survived it.
The problem we have now is that her blood is really rare to buy, do you have anyone that might want to be a donor for her so we can carry out some tests on the person? That’s the fastest thing to do now”
“I will be the donor doctor. Carry out your tests quickly and save her”
“Are you sure Mr Andrian? I mean, you dislike females so…. ” he tried saying but I cut him off
“Just do your job and stop asking me irrelevant questions”
“O… Kay sir” he said and started his work.
Zoey’s POV
The nerve of this girl! So she’s asking the guard to choose between both of us? Let’s just wait and see
“I’m sorry ma’am but I can’t do what you’re asking me to do. I will take my leave now” one of the guards said and made to leave but Avery stopped him
“Stop right there! I’m going to give you two options now as your boss.
It’s either you do as I say or quit your job” Avery said and sat back down
“We’re sorry ma’am but we have no choice” the guards said and dragged me out though they were still polite a little
“So you choose a little girl over me?” I asked them
“We’re sorry ma’am” they answered and left
This is the height of it, I’m so going to deal with Avery Carter!!
Mason’s POV
After waiting for few minutes without seeing the guard, I called some of my other guards to come pick me up and they came as soon as they could.
They put me in the car and drove me home after which they called my doctor to come and treat me at home.
I’m sure Skylar is a witch. If not, how will she beat me almost to the point of death. Since when did that sweet gentle Skylar become this heartless?
That’s the least of my problems right now. I feel like my whole body is on fire and if that doctor doesn’t come within twenty minutes, I fear this will be the end of me because as it is now, I can hardly breath.
Few minutes later, the doctor came rushing into my room. Before he could get closer to me, I lost consciousness.
Skylar’s POV
I woke up to the beeping sound of the machine. The strong smell hit my nose and I need no one to tell me I was in a hospital but why?
I tried remembering and almost immediately, everything came rushing in. That bastard! I will make sure I kill him the next time I set my eyes on him.
I tried standing up but I felt pains in my lower abdomen. That stupid guard gave me a really deep stab and he’s going to pay.
That aside, how did I get to the hospital? I remember loosing consciousness when the guard was chasing me. Did the driver of that car save me?
Well, the only way to find out is by asking the doctor that attended to me but then I’m stuck here, I can’t even lift a finger.
Talking about fingers, why do I feel like there is a hand on my own?
I look at my side to see sir Andrian sleeping on the bed and he was holding my hand. I’m confused!
Why is he in the same ward with me or am I peharps not seeing clearly? I closed my eyes and opened them back expecting to wake up from my imagination but nothing happened.
I guess I will just ask him when he wakes up. I carefully took his hands off me and laid on the bed.
Somehow, I felt empty when his hand left mine but it doesn’t matter. I don’t want to have any problem with him.
*Evening*
I woke up to discover it was evening already. Wow! I really slept a lot and as if I just woke up from a trance, I looked at my right side but the bed was empty.
Does that mean I saw Andrian in my dream or what? I wish it wasn’t a dream but who am I kidding? It’s definitely a dream.
The door to my ward creaked open and I looked at it to see Andrian staring at me. What? I thought it was a dream.
I bowed my head and blushed a little before raising it to look at him with a straight face.
“Good evening sir”
“Evening” he answered walking fully into the room “how are you feeling now?”
“I feel better sir”
“Okay that’s nice. The doctor said you will get discharged on Saturday and you need to be placed on bed rest for few weeks. I will employ a male cook that will cook for us until then” he concluded while I stared at him in shock
Is this the Andrian I know? Absolutely not!
“Are you okay sir?” I asked to be sure
“Yeah. Don’t I look okay to you?”
“You look okay sir”
“Alright, let me get you some food” he said and left
Someone should pinch me really hard so I can wake up from this dream because I know I’m dreaming.
Did sir Andrian just offer to get me food? No, it’s not possible.
“Of course it is. You heard it with your two ears” my subconscious snapped
I need to be really careful around this new Andrian because I know something is wrong somewhere.
