Mason’s POV

I can’t believe these worthless fools lost track of Skylar. I mean, they’ve being into this thing for a long time now but a little naive girl and her driver were able to outsmart them.

“Just leave here all of you. I don’t want to see your faces!” I screamed

“Y.. yes boss” they stuttered and wanted to leave but I stopped them

“I think I have another idea” I thought smirking

“One of you will find a way to enter into Andrian’s company tomorrow. You will wait until 6:20 pm before you burst the tire of the two cars Andrian brought. Make sure you leave Andrian’s car untouched but burst the one that takes Skylar to work and the other one”

“Alright boss” they chorused and left

I just hope they succeed in getting this one done. When I’m done with you Skylar Brandon, we will know who the boss is.

Skylar’s POV

After I got home, I took a cool shower and changed my clothes before going to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

I don’t even know what to tell Ella when she asks about her tuition fee. I guess I will just have to avoid her this night, I will think of something tomorrow.

I prepared dinner and dished Avery’s food before taking it to her room after which I came back for Ella’s own.

I dropped her food and quickly left the room to avoid any question.

I sat down in the sitting room waiting patiently for Ella to sleep when the door suddenly opened.

Seeing it was the boss, I sighed in relief!

“Welcome sir” I greeted without a trace of smile on my face.

“Thank you” he said and proceeded to the stairs but I stopped him

“Sir, we were followed by some people on our way home this evening. The driver managed to outsmart them but he asked me to inform you.

I think I was the one they were after and seeing I have no enemies, I think they must be your rivals” I concluded looking him in the eyes

“Everyone knows I don’t. Like women so they won’t get back at me through you. Think about any enemy you have and after thinking about it, inform me” he said and left

Jerk!

Leah’s POV

Zoey thinks we’re friends, if only she knows what I have in store for her.

I’m only after Andrian and nothing else. I will find a way to get rid of Skylar using Zoey after which I will get rid of Zoey myself so I and Andrian can live happily ever after.

Zoey has always been the one getting everything. The attention of guys, the spotlight… Everything has always been about her so it’s time for me to step up my game.

I will make her believe Andrian loves her when I know fully well that Andrian doesn’t see her that way. He only thinks of her as a friend with no feeling or strings attached.

Then I will strike. Don’t worry about my plans, you will get to know about them when I start executing them.

Audrey’s POV

I’m worried sick about Skylar. For the past few days now, I haven’t seen she or Ella and the door is locked.

Could something have happened to them? No, I shouldn’t think that way.

I try her number almost everyday but she’s not always picking up. I will just try my luck today to see if it will be different.

I dialed her number and she picked on the third ring.

“Skylar!!” I screamed happily

I’m sure she will have to move the phone farther so her eardrum won’t get blocked but you can’t blame me right? I’ve missed my best friend so much.

“Leah, when are you ever going to change?”

“When you stop sneaking away like a thief” I said when I remembered I’m supposed to me mad at her

“About that, I’m really sorry Audrey. You see it happened so fast and I couldn’t inform you before leaving. I’m sorry” she said faking tears

“I’ve heard you even though I know those tears are fake” I said and heard her giggle

“Thanks Audrey. Let’s meet on Saturday so I can explain things to you”

“Alright. Don’t forget to bring something special for me”

“As you wish”

We both giggled and ended the call after we said a good night to each other.

*Next day*

Zoey’s POV

I wore something really sexy and got in my car. In case you’re wondering, I’m going to Andrian’s company and Leah asked me to wear this clothes so Andrian won’t be able to resist me.

I asked the driver to drive and some minutes later, we were at Andrian’s company.

Most of the workers there knew who I was so they greeted me politely. This is what I want.

I went straight to Andrian’s office and went in without knocking.

“How many times do I have to tell you to knock before coming into my office?” Andrian asked without raising his head to look at me.

“Should I be happy that you know something about me or I should be sad because it’s a bad thing?”

“Anyone. How are you doing?” he asked and finally looked at me.

He took in what I was wearing before proceeding.

“Where are you coming from or should I say where are you headed after you leave my company?” he asked making me gulp

“I’m coming from home and I don’t plan on going anywhere after leaving your office”

“Then why are you dressed like this?”

“Is it bad?”

“Not really. But the way you’re dressed makes me think you want to go to your lover’s place after you leave my company”

“I’m in my lover’s place right now” I wanted to say but I kept quiet

“Whatever. Let’s go out for lunch”

“I’m busy” he said not sparing me a glance

“Please Andrian. Ever since I came back, you hardly spend time with me, you stopped me from visiting you and now you can’t just spend an hour with me?

You know you’re the only male friend I have or are we no longer friends?”

“We’re friends Zoey. Okay, let me finish with this work and we’ll go out for lunch”

“Thanks” I said and sat down waiting for him.

I guess Leah’s suggestion wasn’t bad after all. I can’t wait to be called Andrian’s wife
