**Ryan’s mansion**
Page yawned for the umpteenth time her eyes closing gently as she ate breakfast, she spent the whole night reading up the novels and her sleepiness night made things worst, right now she was d@mn weak but her ankle had stopped hurting her thanks to Jayden .

She took her bag and walked gently out.

“Ma’am are you sure your okay”Rosy asked and Page barely nodded before leaving the house into a taxi trying hard to keep her eyes open.

The taxi drove in front of the huge gates and Page came down blinking tiredly .

“I just hope today isn’t my death day”She muttered walking in and suddenly she heard mummers.

They kept on saying and she rolled hers eyes.

,she hadn’t heard them the last time so what now? She thought blankly.

“Hey doll!!”Ruby waved walking to Page.

“Hey”Page said flatly sitting behind her desk.

“Doll?? Did you sleep at all last night”Ruby said worried and sat beside Page sighed.

“I might end up dying before today ends ” Page mumbled

” At least he doesn’t come home”Page said

“Huh??”Ruby blurted out

“I mean….

“Wait you leave with him??, I was kinda wondering how u got the job that quickly are u his sis ? I doubt that right?”Ruby grinned foolishly and Page sighed.

“You don’t know a lot about me”She mumbled and opened her laptop.

“Then tell me, we are friends right???” Ruby said with a pout

“Busy” Page muttered.

“Okay but we are gonna be having lunch together right??”Ruby said.

“No”Page said checking her write up so far,then an email came in.
🎫”My office now”she read slowly then gasped it was from Ryan.

“His coffee”Her head screamed and she ran out and came back shortly with the coffee ,she adjusted hair then knocked on the door.

“Come in”His voice came out coldly and she suddenly became weak ,her heart taking faster beats as she walked in.

“I got your coffee Sir”she said gently her head down,Ryan took just a glance at her before looking away.

“It’s late”He said without looking up and seeing her just reminded him of last nights and it’s annoying that he can’t get it off his mind.

“Sorry”she said and looked up he eyes immediately moved back to her and he was wondering why she was suddenly acting gentle.

But it was obvious her eyes read it out,but he lgnored it anyway.

“Where is the write up of the Summaries”He said and Page took her bottom lips in gently.

“I was able to write up three”She muttered and he stared at her .

” just three” He scoffed.

” I don’t think you’re cut up for this job”Ryan scowled.

“N..no “Page said.

“But it’s not easy am human unno”she mumbled to herself and Ryan raised his brows .

He heard her.

“Let me see the write ups you made ,”Ryan said .

“I already sent them to you already ,they are in you email”Page said and he opened it.

He read quietly with full attention and he couldn’t deny the fact that he was impressed, her lines were in place ,her English was fluent and she didn’t fail to explain what the books were meant to be about what they represented and he was impressed, but held a blank look and looked up at Page and their eyes locked all this while she’s been holding her breathe and now that his staring at her that way she didn’t know what to expect.

“You… Ryan was about saying when Page cut in.

“Please don’t tell me rewrite it ,it will be my end”She blurted out .

“Oh really and what if I do”Ryan smirked .

“Rewrite it am not impressed, and am sure the board of writers won’t be either”He said and Page gave him a deadly glare and walked out slamming the door hard enough to break if it could.

She walked angrily to her desk and held it tightly her fingers pressing hard on them.

“Gosh!!!”She half yelled tiredly and thanks to his sound proof glass door Ryan didn’t hear a thing.

“So??? Ruby said facing her.

“I can’t believe he asked me to write up another summary, and I worked really hard and those ones”Page pouted exasperated Ruby was about talking when Ryan came out of his office but Page was to outraged to notice.

“Arrgh!! Sometimes I feel like strangling him till he suffocates out all the inhuman his cold soul,his he even human??”Page rushed her words all at once and she was actually relived,but then she saw the horrific look on Ruby’s face.

“Oh really Secretary Page??”His voice came in gently but he had that devil look on his face as he walked closer to her and Page immediately gulped down emptiness welcoming her death spree.

“Boss!!”Ruby stood .

“No…n..no Page stuttered moving back slowly.

“Nice performance but you should focus more on how your brain can work out and bring such performance as a write up”Ryan smirked .

“Am sorry”she said gently her head bowed as she took her lips in slowly. He stared at her for a while but immediately moved back , walking to his office and Page exhaled.

But then he stopped.

“Miss secretary Paige if you can’t keep with the standard of this company then you might as well use the door”Ryan said not turning back a mischeavious smile playing on his lips.

Page nodded and he left.
Page held her chest immediately it was like it was about to blow right now.

“Why didn’t you tell me he was there”Page snapped ,Ruby blinked in disbelief .

“Forget it”Page mumbled and dropped heavily on her seat.

**Police station** **SWAT Center**
**Interrogation room**
A head cop was sitted in the blanket of darkness her fingers firmly holding a coffee mug and soon someone came in a guy in his early twenties he held a brown envelope as he walked to where she was seated.

“Here”Bruce said dropping the envelope.

“They found another dead body by the old construction last night ,but no clue of who she is or her ki||ers “Bruce sighed and sat down .

“Could it be the same ki||er that was sent to ki|| miss Jennie”She said.

“I doubt it,the dead body was shot severally but the hospital said there were no scars indicating torture unlike miss Jennie who had horrible cuts all over”Bruce explained.

“But it could be ,did you get any detail on the dead body like maybe family? Or home address”She said.

“None, just like the two we found dead last month, no family? no background? just homeless kids who had no choice “Bruce said .

“More like someone is using them, she thought and let out a sigh.

“We are getting no where we need more help if we wanna save these poor kids”Bruce said.

“Make a call to detective Anthony “she muttered slowly and Bruce eyes went wide.

“Just do it”She snapped and left ,

“I don’t know what’s more stressful in this job handling criminals ,or her as a boss”he scoffed and walked out his hands in his pocket.

Page kept staring blankly at her laptop, she was done rewriting the summaries again and she just sent it to his email.
Everywhere was silent ,it was lunch time so everyone were at the cafeteria.

She closed the laptop and faced the remaining book left to read and sighed ,she looked at the rest and was kinda confused of what next to read ,and picked a book with a red cover but then another book caught her attention it had a shining brown cover and was way bigger than the rest.
She picked it up and flipped open the pages but the sound of her hungry tummy made her stop wrapping her arms around her tummy.

Just then the door opened and Jayden walked in looking cute in a casual white cloth that spelt money, his hair went to the back.

“Cutie!!” Page said happily.

“Cutie??, really”Jayden grinned walking to her he held a white nylon in his left hand and the second in his pocket.

” looks like someone missed me” Jayden teased and page made an eye roll,making Jayden chuckle.

“Why are you here??” Page said.

“I came to check on a naughty cutie” Jayden smirked.

“Naughty cutie??” Page laughed and jayden stood there staring at her till she stopped.

” for me??” Page blinked surprised opening the nylon he actually brought food.

“Yah” Jayden said and Page eyes open widely.

“Yes !!grilled beef and ice cream!!! ,yum!!!!” She gushed .

“Thanks so much cutie you’re a life save”Page grinned.

“It’s the least I could do after my cousin tried to ki|| u”he said with a cute smile as he watched Page dig in but immediately he said that she choked on meat.

“Cousin??”Page blurted.

” Yeah his my arrogant cousin”Jayden smirked.

“I can understand that his such a pain ,like gosh!!” Page rolled her eyes and jayden chuckled.

“Gotta go” he said .

” now??” Page pouted and he smiled .

Her desk bell rang and she quickly stood and went to Ryan’s office.

She opened the door gently walking in but his words put her to a halt.

“Why was he here??!!” He said but she kept mute biting her lips .

He stood up and walked slowly to her ,while she retrieved her steps her heart beat rapidly.

“I asked you a f-__-king question” He yelled moving closer and Page lost all balance and fell flatly on her butt.

Ryan stood in front of her.

“Get lost!!!!” He said coldly.
