“Seriously!!! ” she yelled. Ryan smirked resting comfortably in his chair.

“Get to work”He said coldly,she bit her tongue hard and walked out slamming the door.

Ryan stared at the door anger fuming in his eyes as he glared at the door.

“She’s got guts and he found it annoying ,so he was gonna put her in her place ,she was only a mere worker under him, his P.A and she needed to understand that.

“She’s the new P.A??”Jayden said and Ryan immediately gave him a cold glare.

“You came her for a business proposal , so why don’t you pay attention to that and mind you business.”Ryan said coldly.

“I know you h@ťě me that much ,but your being to hard on her”.Jayden said frankly getting annoyed.

usually when Ryan acts this way he would just ignore him with a smile , but he got annoyed seeing Page in this state.

“How I run my things and who gets the heat shouldn’t be your problem after all she’s my P.A ,these are my rules.”Ryan scoffed.
Jayden gritted his teeth inwardly then sighed.

“So why are you here I’ve got better things to attend to”Ryan said.

“It’s about the alliance ,if we want these books to go over the rate,we would need more recommenders to advertise our works to libraries and bookshops around the world so I was thinking, we could go into a partnership to boost things”Jayden said and Ryan frowned.

“Forget it, am not interested, Bright luck has it’s legacy that I was able to handle after dad passed away so it’s most stable joining an alliance??”Ryan scoffed.

“But..

“Not interested.” Ryan said coldly and Jayden glared at him before walking out almost bumping into Page.

“No! No! No!” She panicked holding the cupmore firmly before looking up.

” oh ,it’s you”Page smiled,and Jayden slowly stared at her from her head down to legs which were bare.

“Seriously “Jayden said staring at her legs.

“My ankles hurt a lot”she pouted cutely making Jayden chuckled

” Don’t worry I’ll take you to a hospital to get it treated” Jayden said.

” Really??” Page gushed.

” thanks Jayden”she smiled.

” yeah, so I’ll come pick you up when your done” he said and winked.

” cutie” Page chuckled and faced Ryan’s office a frown immediately formed on her face ,the little time she had with Jayden had eased her and she wasn’t gonna let him spoil it.

She knocked gently opening the door a bit without saying a word she dropped the coffee on his desk and walked out.

Ryan looked up his brows raised but his look still cold.

Page walked to her desk and sat down, inhaling gently she had to gather courage to be bold around him ,cos being in there was just like entering a bear’s cave.

” hey doll are you okay??” Ruby said standing up from her desk.

” no my legs are ki||ing me” Page pouted stretching her legs to Ruby ,her eyes widened as she stared at her shining red and swollen ankle.

“Doll??!?how did you….

“I fell off the stairs” page said.

“Am so sorry doll” Ruby said.

“It’s not your fault ,it’s his, why does he always have to act like a grumpy bear??” Page said, Ruby chuckled a bit then held her ankle gently.

“I’ll get ointments” Ruby said and page nodded.

Page stared at nothing in particular waiting for Ruby when suddenly her desk bell rang.

That meant boss needed her in the office ,she stood up and sighed as she gently walked to his office ,she opened the door and walked in lightly.

” sir?? You called for me?? ” Page said gently sudden calmness in her face, he looked up at her but turned away in seconds.

“Read this and get out there summaries before today ends” he said and Page turned to the twelve mighty books stacked up together,her face horrified.

“Huh?!!?!!” Her eyes widened .

“Or you could quit”Ryan’s voice came in coldly and she swallowed hard.

She carried the books out of his office with much effort and, dropped them hard on the table making Ellsa flinch ,but gave a wicked smirk on seeing how boss was unknowingly doing her job for her.

“Am sure am gonna die before today ends,how am I supposed to summarise all this” she muttered and took on of the books luckily for her she loved reading books ,they were actually written by Ryan.

She took one of the books and began reading ,her eyes bolted out red,but she kept reading and within three hours she was done with one.

she took another and opened it and started reading but suddenly her head dropped and her eyes closed as she fell into a deep sleep.

Everyone had gone home as usual, and the company was silent .

Ryan looked at his watch for a while then sighed,he didn’t known whether to go stay with the rest or go home.

He finally stood up and walked out of his office ,then his eyes caught someone .

It was page she was fast asleep,he scoffed and moved closer to her desk but then hi phone rang and he went out of sight ,but his ringtone had woken her up.

She opened her eyes gently adjusting it to the level of light in the company then she looked at the time.

“Uh!! I must have slept off “she yawned then looked around ,she was sure someone was here ,but there was no one ,she stood up gently placing her foot on the cold floor,then carried the books on one hand her shoe and bag in the other before walking out of the company.

“Goodnight ma’am”one of the security said and she nodded leaving the huge gate.

“Finally out of that hell”she muttered exhausted,suddenly a car drove right in front of her, startlingly the breathe out of her.

“Hey!”Jayden said popping his head out of the car window.

“Jayden??”Her eyes widened, she totally forgot.

“Hey! are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost, I told you I’ll come pick you so why the look”he said came out opening the door for her.

“Here”he said ,

“Nothing ,but I didn’t know you’ll wait this long,am sorry”she muttered and bit her lips and sat in front ,he closed the door and sat beside her.

“So where do we go first”Jayden said .

“I thought we’ll be going to the hospital”Page pouted subconsciously.

“Yes but not after u’ve eaten something ,you look pale”he teased and Page hit his rib hard.

“Ouch!!” He whinned with a chuckle driving off.

Ryan walked out staring at his phone ,then he stared back at Page desk.

“Where did she go?? Maybe she left already? He thought and walked out of the company,he entered his car and drove out ,then saw Jayden’s car driving out, Page had entered it.

“That frog”Ryan smirked and drove off .

Jayden’s car came to a halt right in front of the diner ,he got down and walked to the other side and opened the door for Page.

“We are here”he said but she was fast asleep .

“She must be really tired “he muttered staring at her spotless face,his gaze moved from her eyes down to here cute nose,but when it stopped at her cute pouted lips her eyes open ,her eyelashes gently hitting each other.

“Jayden”her gentle voice said.

” we are here “he said not breaking the eye contact.

“Em Jayden?”she muttered and he shifted away quickly.

“Sorry”he said and she nodded.

“Let’s go in”he said taking her hand and Page stared at it then smiled at him as they walked in.

**Minutes later**
Jayden kept staring at page’s lips as she ate her food quickly but cutely, her lips forcing it way to open up to more food.

“Aren’t you eating ,the food here is the best”Page said looking up and Jayden shook his head still lost staring at her.

“Your cute”Jayden said and Page looked up quickly her face a light flush of pink.

“Thanks”she muttered .”am done”she said and Jayden stared at the plate.

“That was fast”he said surprised and they both laughed and left ,
“Next the hospital”he said.

Ryan walked into the mansion with his hands tucked into his pocket.

Everyone was home .
“Hey!!”Andy and Emma chorused they were playing video games and right now Andy was losing to Emma.

“Hey”Ryan said sitting beside them on the sofa.

“Ryan??”Amelia said walking out of the kitchen.

“Hey melly”Ryan said.

“So what’s her name?’Amelia asked cutely and Ryan stared blankly at her for a while confused.

“Don’t tell me you don’t still know it”Amelia scoffed making Ryan chuckle .

“seriously do you wanna be friends with her or something”Ryan smirked.

“Maybe not like I have one”Amelia scoffed .

“And Jocelyn??”Emma said not looking away from his game,

“Don’t even talk about that Ɓîtçh ,she’s not worth it”Amelia snapped and walked out the trio laughed.

“Those two are always on each others tail”Andy said.

“Yah wonder?they used to be best buds”Emma said,but that wasn’t actually what was on Ryan’s mind and no matter how he tried he couldn’t erase the thought of those two being together, it just pinches him.

“Hey!! Are you even listening”Andy snapped hitting Ryan on the head.

“You wanna die??” Ryan snapped giving Andy a deadly glare.

“Sorry??”Andy grinned scratching the back of his head.

“So did you get a new P.A”Emma asked ,he was actually the closest to Ryan .

“Yah a crazy one”he muttered.

“Seriously??, how many crazy girls are falling into your life”Emma chuckled.

“No it’s the same one”Ryan said and stood up.

“Oh really??”Emma said teasingly and Ryan rolled his eyes.

“So what’s the crazy girls name”Andy said.

“Page”Ryan muttered going upstairs.

“Wow cute name now I really wanna see her”Emma grinned but Ryan didn’t reply,he left.

“And I thought I was the naughty one”Andy chuckled.

“Idiot am not like you,not everyone can be a better international playboy than you,it’s like your ancestors passed it on to you”Emma said with a naughty smirk and Andy immediately frowned and scoffed.

“Seriously if he keeps acting this way my grand kids will marry before him”Emma said referring to Ryan.

“Yah sometimes I even think his gay”Andy whispered and Emma smacked his head.

“Your a big fool”Emma smirked and Andy pounced on him giving him playful punches ,but Emma pushed him and smacked his head again before running off.

“Emma!!!!!”Andy yelled and ran after him.

“Snippet!!!”A hoarse voiced said and young lady ran in trembling in fear her face covered in sweat.

“Ye..s si..r”she said in a trembling voice.

“Where is she!!”he said his eyes showing nothing more frightening than death.

“I..do..n’t know sir, we are looking for her,she didn’t drop any details before she left,but she said she’ll come back”snippet said fearfully.

“And you watched her leave without knowing why??what if she’s a spy and was sent from the authorities?”he said gently his hands reaching out to a gun under his arm rest.

“Si..r.

“You fool!!”He shouted holding up the gun and she immediately fell to her knees her hands clapsed together.

“Boss am sorry ,I promise I’ll find her ,sir don’t….

She kept begging and he pulled the trigger right into her leg,and her loud screams immediately filled the dark lounge.

“I h@ťě pleas ,he growled angryly and suddenly let out an evil smile.

“you’ve always wanted to be with your mom right??”he said and she immediately looked up her eyes red, he smirked and pulled the trigger again the bullet hit her throat and forcefully opened it up as blood splattered everywhere then she dropped dead.

The rest of the clang stood horrified there legs shaking right now no one dared move talk less of crying or they would join her,but the mafioso guards stood unmoved.

He looked at all of them hard and no one dared looked at him in the eye unless you wanted to die.

” Find her!!!! “he said in his hoarse voice ,and his eyes darkened.
