“I never promised to spend the night with you”Devon said immediately they got to her room.

“But you said you’d do something in return to make me happy”Raven pouted and Devon sighed.

“Fine then let’s take a walk to the lake,I just want to spend some time with you,it’s not a sin”Raven said.

Devon stared at her for awhile and sighed again.

“Fine,let’s go”he muttered and she smiled widely.

They began walking back to the riverside but Moon wasn’t there anymore.

Few minutes passed and they were both seated quietly by the river.

“We had to come here? It’s so cold,I don’t like it here”Raven said.

“I love it,it’s the best view of the moonlight”Devon muttered and she turned to him.

She spotted the half moon necklace dangling on his neck and she bit her lips.

“I always loved the moon since I was little,even though I’d be my end,my mum always said to never let the fear in,she gave it to me”Devon said.

“Ohh…”Raven mumbled.

“And your mum? she’s…..”

“She’s dead”Devon said blankly and Raven bit her lips.

“Don’t hurt yourself,it wasn’t your fault “Devon said and she realized the pull on her flesh.

“I guess I shouldn’t have asked then”Raven muttered.

“It’s fine ,happened a long time ago I can’t even remember how it happened “Devon said.

“So you want to tell me how it happened?”Raven asked slowly,he shook his head and she sighed.

“It was worth the try “she muttered and he smiled.

“It’s the second time you’re smiling tonight”Raven smiled widely.

Devon fronwed again and she chuckled.

“It’s still cold though,can we go in now?”Raven pouted.

He held her hand and they vanished into her room.

“Goodnight “he said and dissapered,she smiled and climbed her bed.

“I still don’t get why the cat loves you so much,it ran off when I tried to pet it nicely,but she’s all over you”Winter pouted.

She’s laying on the bed with the cat on her laps,it’s trying to jump down but each time she keeps catching it mid air.

Moon came out of the bathroom in her pajamas and grey coloured sweater,her wrist glowing as she walked to the bed.

Winter looked up at the mark curiously.

“It’s beautiful”Winter said and Moon smiled.

“You always hide it though,why?”Winter said.

Moon sat next to her on the bed and the cat immediately jumped on her laps.

“Granny Suzy said I should always hide it,that way I’d be safe even without knowing “Moon shrugged.

“You must really miss her alot”Winter muttered,Moon nodded patting the cat gently.

“So that means you know what you are?”Winter asked.

“I’m scared of what I don’t know I am,it’s frightening,it’s like I keep getting stronger everyday and just a spark would blow up the city”Moon muttered.

“That’s why I’m always quite and lonely even though I dont like it,I just don’t want to hurt anyone “Moon muttered sadly

“The birth mark says it all and under your feet,it’s obvious your powers are related to the moon”Winter said.

She suddenly gasped when she realized something.

“The moon goddess!”Winter gasped.

“I h@ťě that name and no way I’m that”Moon muttered.

“Your name is moon,you have birth marks of the moon it literally enamates lights,your footprints are moon shaped what are we talking about here exactly?”Winter said.

Moon dropped the cat and fell dejectedly on the bed.

“I was scared of this,this whole attention thing,I don’t want it that way I’ll be a target”Moon muttered sadly.

“I’m thinking you’re already one,you just haven’t found out”Winter said,moon sighed.

“It’s better to embrace what you are baby girl,trust me I’m always on your side, hundred percent no matter what you turn out to be”Winter raised her pinky finger and Moon chuckled.

“If anyone tries to hurt you,I’ll $h00t ice bullets from my fingers…pew”Winter demonstrated and Moon laughed even louder.

“Come here baby”Winter pulled her into an embrace and moon didn’t resist.

Winter laid beside her cuddling tightly to her.

“You’re so warm”Winter pouted.

“You’re opposite,I’m bones are freezing”Moon teased and Winter chuckled, cuddling her even tighter.

“What brought you here though,you know I don’t like visitors”Moon said.

“I’m not leaving even though you ask me too,stop dreaming “Winter scoffed.

“I saw a blood sucking demon though,his fangs were da*n scary yet everything looked so hot,I ran like a child yunno”Winter said.

“Can you believe he tried to…..”Winter stopped talking when she heard Moon’s soft breaths. She already slept off.

“She’s so cute”Winter chuckled and covered them with the duvet.

Shadow still sat on the same spot with her legs crossed and her hair kept glowing down her back.

Hermione still sat beside her,he’s been there throughout the night and she still hasn’t woken up from the trance.

He couldn’t sleep a blink.

It’s like her soul left her body,so there was no use waking her physical body,it’d only affect her.

Moon rushed in that moment with Winter and they gasped.

“What happened?”Moon asked worriedly.

“She said once her hair started turning red,I should recite the spell but it’s still dark”Hermione said.

“We can still recite it anyway right?”Winter said.

“No it may keep her soul away from the body forever if we do that,I read something like that,let’s wait for a little while then I can try bringing her back,she might have not found what she wants “Moon said and the rest nodded.

“I just hope she’s fine,the Mission is still tonight”Hermione said.

Shadow soul kept walking down the streets of the city, though it’s morning in the human world, she’s in the present night.

Scary loud growls were heard from the near forest and she stopped walking.

The safe part was in this form only another dark source like the queen herself could sense her,but the creature can’t.

It kept running to were she stood and she turned and saw two figures standing there ready to fight.

The creature ran to them and the fire from it’s mouth burnt them to useless ashes.

Shadow gasped,she saw the two face clearly,she woke up that instant,Moon Winter and Hermione gave hovering over her.

“You okay?”Moon muttered and she hugged them.

<Dining hall>Evening.

“We are leaving once it’s night, right?”Winter faced Moon.

Moon nodded and stared up at Devon.

Rave noticed and immediately tapped him before he could stare at her back.

“Water please”Raven smiled and he handed it to her immediately.

Moon made an eye roll and continued eating.

Liam suddenly walked in and took the empty seat beside Winter.

She choked on the food and her spoon dropped to the floor.

“Hey…here take”Moon gave her a glass of water,she sipped from it immediately and dropped the cup loudly.

She faced Liam who had a rigid smirk.

“Your blood smells so good,you heartbeats acceleration and the way your veins are moving makes me want to…… “Liam whispered into her ears and she hiccupped,the cup shaking in her hands.

She stood up immediately and ran off.

“What’s with her?”Moon said.

She faced Liam,he shrugged and began eating.

“I saw something last night,it’s …..the thing it’s to dangerous even the masters know that so why would they send us to do it?”Shadow said.

“Because that’s why we were called here in the first place”Devon said blankly.

“We should leave earlier then,we won’t want it to get too dark”Moon said,she stood up and winter stood too.

Granger nodded and also stood.

“Be careful guys!”Wyatt said.

“You too, we’ll be back before noon”Granger said and like that the of them walked out.

Shadow’s hold on her spoon became tighter and Ivy noticed.

“What happened? You’re acting up like you saw something else? What aren’t you telling us?”Ivy said.

“The beast is only after the two of them,it’s like they’re going right into his trap,the dark queen wants Moon”Shadow blurted.

Everyone eyes widened.

“Why didn’t you tell them!!_

The six of them kept walking silently down the deserted streets,the moonlight was d@mn bright enamating bright rays through the city.

Chief Ellis did a good job at chasing all the people in,so it’s just thier figures in the whole Orhok that was outside, everyone else were hidden in their houses.

“We’ve been walking for hours,why hasn’t he showed up?”Raven said tiredly.

Moon held the white cat silently in her arms, patting the fur softly.

“You mean it….it’s a creature “Winter suddenly said and Raven rolled her eyes.

“We just started walking can you’ll quit it?”Lamia groaned.

“Raven is right,I can’t believe I said that…. but we’ve been walking for miles now,the moon is out but nothing,it’s almost noon and not even the birds are tweeting”Granger said.

“That’s a even more reason why we should stay”Liam snapped.

“Can you all stop,if you don’t want to keep going just seat around and search the area, anyone who wants can come with me”Moon said dryly, patting the cat gently.

“Why would you tell us what to do? You are just acting like you’re the only one who’s taking this seriously,we also want to get rid of the beast but not when we don’t even have the strength to breath properly”Raven scoffed.

“Enough everyone!!…. Moon and I were put in charge,and I’m going with her idea,you feel tired rest your darn a*s and let us do the rest”Devon said.

Moon turned to him,his face was blank and cold as usual but she was beginning to get used to the look,she smiled before she knew it.

“We can just split up, we’re six so …we each split in two”Winter said.

“Winter and Liam…..”

“Wait why? Him?!!”Winter snapped before Moon could finish.

“It’s not a date,we are doing this to find the creature faster,so let’s just do this and go home please”Liam smirked and Winter bit her lips feeling embarrassed.

“Yeah”Moon nodded.

“Raven and Granger “Devon uttered simply and the two exchanged unpleasant glances.

“So then you and Moon?”Granger scoffed.

“It’s only normal since we were made the team leader?”Devon said.

“It’s fine Granger,I’ll go with him”Moon smiled and Granger nodded and returned it.

Devon scoffed and turned away,Moon noticed.

“So we’ll meet back here?”Liam said and the rest nodded.

They all departed and faced different directions.

Moon kept walking silently beside Devon with the cat snuggled in her arms.

From time to time,he turned to take a glance at her cute pout to the cat then her wrist then he’d look away before she noticed.

“You brought it with you? What if we have to fight?”Devon said lowly breaking the icey silence.

“I thought you didn’t wanna talk……to me?”Moon muttered without looking up from the cat.

Devon sighed.

“It’s because of your girlfriend right? She’s spicy”Moon joked but inside,it was the worst joke she could make.

“Your assumptions drive me crazy,you just keep assuming,you never stop”Devon said.

“I don’t want to talk to you,let’s just stay the way we were,the way you made it”Moon muttered.

“I was only doing what you obviously wanted,you made it clear and you also make me talk a lot…. gosh I’m doing it now”Devon groaned, roughing his hair slightly.

“You haven’t gotten hurt for a while now,I guess that’s why I thought you were ……forget it”Moon mumbled.

He turned to her and nodded slightly.

“Didn’t want you to get hurt cos of me”Devon mumbled also and she turned to him.

He continued walking in silence and she smiled slightly.

“Carry her…”Moon suddenly said pushing the cat to Devon’s face.

“What?!!”Devon fronwed.

“She’s afraid of you,I want her to face that fear”Moon pouted.

“Don’t do that, you’ll hurt yourself “Devon said coolly and she stopped and dropped her arms.

He took the cat slowly from her surprisingly,and carried it in his arms and there was somewhat fear as he stared at the little thing.

“Uhnn,she likes you!”Moon smiled and Devon smiled awkwardly

The cat began stretching it paws on him but he could waggle her tail Devon flinged it to the next tree.

“You ki||ed her!!”Moon yelled horrifically.

“It would have ki||ed me either way,so much fur”Devon grossed and Moon eyes widened.

“Wait a minute….you’re afraid of cats! The only reason it ran away earlier was obviously because you did something to make it scared”Moon gasped.

Deeper in the forest distant heavy steps were approaching them.

“And now it won’t come near me ever again”Devon smiled satisfactorily and continued walking.

He didn’t hear Moon behind him again so he turned and____

“You’re scared of a little cat!! The great Devon Devil almost ki||ed a cute animal!”Moon laughed out crazily.

“They aren’t innocent, they’re witches only pets”Devon fronwed but that didn’t convince Moon she kept laughing.

Devon suddenly heard the footsteps behind Moon and his eyes widened.

“What happened?”Moon asked but the loud footsteps answered her immediately.

The creature!! ,it’s horns are pointing out form it’s head and four red blood shot eyes on the rigid face,with fire burning out the huge hand.

“The queen wants you to follow quietly and she may consider sparing your life “the creature growled,but it’s obviously not it’s voice someone was speaking through it.

Devon pulled Moon behind him,with a murderous look on his face.

“She’s mine”Devon said coldly.

The creature growled loudly echoing into the forest, chasing away the birds from the trees near by and it began running towards them.

“Stay back”Devon said,his neck twisted on own and he opened his palms ,fire burning out of it also.

“Are you crazy! I wanna help too,it’s too dangerous!”Moon snapped.

“One of us has to be alive to drag the other person to the academy”Devon smirked.

The creature threw a blazing ball of fire to them and Devon countered it with his.

Moon gulped worriedly.

It threw another ball of fire and this time ,it hit the ground sending Devon into the air,Moon fell to the ground and groaned painfully,she was bleeding already due to the force.

“Argghh!!”Devon’s voice came and she looked up,the creature stabbed him the second time and Moon eyes widened.

It stabbed again and Devon eyes turned dark red,he hit the monster on the head and it fell but stood up almost again.

The creature hit Devon hard and he crashed to the floor.

Moon’s heart began palpating loudly in her mouth as she watched the horrific scene.

“Hey let him go! It’s me you want right I’m here!!”Moon yelped but it didn’t listen,the creature flinged Devon to a tree,the tree came crashing down.

“Devon!!!”Moon screamed madly and her eyes turned white immediately.

“I said stay away from him!!!!!!!”Moon screamed and rushed to the monster,one hit from her palms ,it went down to the floor.

Her hair turned dangerously black immediately flowing down on its own.

She rushed to Devon,he sat up gently he’s bleeding already same as her,every inch of pain he was feeling hers kept doubling but she was too mad to notice.

The creature charged after them again,Devon vanished from there and appeared behind it,his sword appeared in his hand and he th-ru_st it deep into the creature.

It’s yelp screamed for miles and Devon appeared back beside Moon.

Devon held her hand and she grabbed the sword tightly.

He flinged her into he air straight for the creature,she landed on the shoulders of the wounded creature and immediately pushed the sword into it’s skull.

It screamed even louder,she brought it out and th-ru_st again it began falling and slowly her eyes also began closing,she was also falling.

Devon sped to her before she could fall, catching her in his arms and,her hand caught the moon necklace,her palms wrapped tightly around it,her wrist glowing lowly.

She was unconscious already.

“Did….did I do it? Did I ki|| it?”Moon mumbled sleepily and he nodded with a silly smile.

“You did it moonlight,you were great”Devon smiled,he adjusted her in his arms as their wounds began healing together.
