Devon stood there still and motionless staring intensively as Moon kept walking away with Granger.

“You meant it?”Granger smiled widely and Moon shook her head.

“In your dreams,I’ll take care of myself, don’t need anyone’s help”she smirked and he bit his lips softly,the wound suddenly widened and more excruciating pains hit her shoulders.

She gasped out painfully and fell on her knees grabbing her bloody shoulders tightly.

“Moon!!”the two yelled, Devon started running to where they stood but before he could reach Moon dissapered, leaving the two to face eachother.

Granger stared at Devon with a cold glare, Devon scoffed and started walking away.

“What does he even think he is,some kind of king? Jerk”Granger gritted his teeth.

“You know if you’re so mad at him you could just confront him?”Wyatt voice came from behind.

Granger said nothing and began walking in.

“Where were you,I’ve been looking everywhere, never even knew we had a library”Wyatt said, walking beside him.

~Ellis’s courtyard•
Ellis sat on a chair, staring at some books on the desk.

A guard suddenly walked in and he looked up from the book.

“What have the villagers been complaining about? They haven’t stopped trooping in since this morning”Ellis asked sternly from his seat.

“I told them not to show since it’s the same issue”one of the guards said.

“And where is Lora?”Ellis said.

“In your office sir, she’s waiting”the man said.

Ellis nodded and immediately left for the office.

The door was opened for him and he met Lora seated on one of the chairs.

She sprang up immediately he entered and bowed slightly.

“Sir,we’ve got complains from all over the city about,some dark forest creature,some aren’t even sure what it is but that’s what they named the creature”Lora said.

“And what about the ones who knows what it really is?”Ellis asked.

“They didn’t survive to say sir ,thier bodies were scattered all over the scene,no body could be placed together to get who’s body they actually were and the detective are currently investigating the area”Lora said.

“And what about the travelers that arrived specifically for this matter?”Ellis asked grimly.

“They were to scared to even stay a day,they left”Lora said and Ellis nodded.

“I guess we’re on our own now”Ellis muttered sinking into his seat.

“And the light realm? Isn’t there a way to get their help?”Ellis muttered.

Even though he was sure there was not a good result for the question.

“Only three two of us know such people still exist and that they also cut all connections with the human world,so this is our fight”Lora said.

“In that case prepare the weapons and the guards but at all cost keep the villagers safe”Ellis said and Lora nodded.

She walked out.

Moon’s room.

Pieces of clothes were drapped around Moon’s hand but the bleeding didn’t stop,and her eyes are wide open,blood shot and glassy with tears.

Her head was messed up with different sounds and she doesn’t even know how it started.

“Maybe because of the bleeding?”she thought but the pain in her veins only got worst,it’s like they’re craving for blood but yet losing more.

“Argghh!!!”another pang of pain hit her and she cried out painfully.

She rolled off the bed, falling hard to floor in the process and groaned even louder.

“Of all the days I don’t need his blood,the pain is ki||ing,maybe some fresh air will work”she muttered to herself,she drapped a long scarf around her shoulders and walked out the room.

Everywhere was silent in the academy as she walked down the lines trees, even though it was usually this silent,it still felt scary but that was the least on her mind.

She couldn’t even think cos the pain kept drawing out more blood from veins.

She stopped right in front of the river and gently dropped the cloak down her shoulders to the grass and sat on it, sinking her legs deep into the river.

She coolness gave her body a tingling sensation and for some minutes she couldn’t feel the pain, though it didn’t stop bleeding.

“This will work”she smiled widely,and began undressing till she was left in her white undies and lacey bra.

She jumped into the river and the water splashed out wetting the grass.

“Hmmmmm,this is so good!”she smiled and dived deeper under water,till only her hair was left at the surface of the sparkling blue water.

•Devon’s room•
Devon laid quietly on the bed,eyes wide open as he stared at the blank celling.

He couldn’t sleep,not only the fact he knew Moon was probably drowning in pain,but his head hurt a lot and he was beginning to lose it in there,the voice in his head didn’t help either.

_*We aren’t gonna help her?,I can literally hear her loud breaths and groans from here, so can you,so why aren’t we doing anything_ ?* Devil said with a loud scoff.

“She made it clear that she’d rather rot,you also heard so help me clear my head instead”Devon said blankly.

_*It bothers you more than it bothers me_* Devil said and Devon kept quiet.

The noises in his head suddenly increased and he held his head sharply.

He could hear everything from miles away even to the next city,water splashes,the breathes of some certain person and even the movement of shadows,it was beginning to worsen and he held his bleeding ear tightly.

“Argghh! Why is it hurting so much,you’re supposed to be helping, suppress the noises!”Devon growled angrily.

“I’m trying but they keep coming,I’ll try again”Devil said.

Everywhere went silent suddenly and calm silence followed in his head,he breathed out heavily.

“Next time that happens I might lose my mind”Devon muttered.

_*And then maybe she’ll show up? It’s not a bad idea*_ Devil smiled.

“Who?”Devon frowned.

*_Either of them,the one or your mate, she’s the only one that can stop our pain *_ devil said and Devon immediately snapped him out of his head.

He stared down at the half silver crescent shaped necklace hanging on his neck and sighed.

“I hope you’ll end this soon,I’m waiting”Devon said coldly. He got up the bed and started walking out.

Raven came out of hiding immediately he left.

“What’s wrong with him”Raven mumbled.

She turned to follow him but came face with Shadow.

“Didn’t know little birdy loved eavesdropping too”Shadow smirked.

Raven smirked and turned to leave.

“You know I h@ťě that,don’t walk out on me”Shadow said sternly.

“And how does me checking up on him disturb you? Unless you like him or…..”Raven smirked.

Shadow kept quite glaring h@ťěfully and Raven smirked.

“Hey! I thought we agreed to meet in my room?”Winter voice came.

“You okay?”Winter asked.

“I’m fine,where is Moon? Haven’t seen her since thai morning “Shadow said.

“Same here I checked her room again but she wasn’t there,but I’m sure she’s fine”Winter said and Shadow nodded.

“Let’s go”Shadow muttered and winter followed beside.

Few walks outside the academy, Devon already got calm,his hands stayed in his pocket as he walked closer to the river.

He stopped right in front of it and began staring at the full moon when…

Moon raised her wet black hair out the water and Devon stared down at her. She stared at the set of legs in front of her and her eyes began widening as she slowly began looking up till her eyes met his face and thier eyes locked.

Her white lace bra revealed more now that it’s wet and the water only covered her waist down,but it’s d@mn revealing.

“You again?!!”Moon snapped and the water rose into bubbles,he looked up to stare at them but before he could turn she already dressed up,but the dagger glare she gave him was enough to bury his soul.

“I’m not interested in seeing you in indecent ways all the time,you’re the one who picks the wrong places to undress”Devon shrugged calmly.

“And my room you literally appeared in there without knocking!”Moon snapped.

“Are we still talking about the past? You’re so haunty you know that right?”Devon scoffed.

She walked out the water,water and blood dripping down her arm as she walked to him,his eyes darted on the spot and he shook his head.

“You’re stubborn and childish to endure my pains,even after I offered to help nicely”Devon said blankly, tucking his hands deeper into his pockets.

“I don’t want to talk to you!”Moon snapped and began walking away.

“Neither am I,it’s rare for me to worry about someone,and it’s crazy enough we’re sharing a bond”Devon said.

“What you dont want it,I never said I did either,so why acting like I made it happen,you could have left me there to die that night!”Moon snapped sharply and Devon pushed his hand frustratedly into his hair.

“Why do you have to take things this far? I never said any of that,I’ve never been nice to anyone you being the first got me here and you’re acting harsh that’s what I meant “Devon said and she nodded.

“And her? You’re also nice to her? But you never complain about anything she does,she was the one who attacked first but then you faced me instead?”Moon said.

“I’m not at all interested in talking to you,it’s my pain I’ll endure it all I want”Moon said.

“Seriously?”Devon scoffed,Moon ignored him and started walking away, holding the spot gently.

“She’s serious”he shook his head.

He began walking after her quietly,his sword suddenly appeared in his hands and he gave his palm a slight cut,and sped to her.

He held her bleeding shoulders and pinned her to a tree,she gasped grabbing his shirt at front,staring deeply at his blank face,his eyes slowly left her face to were she held and his eyes caught the moon mark on her wrist.

It’s the same with his necklace, dangling on his neck.

*The one!*
Devon furrowed his brows on Moon’s wrist intensive,she began wriggling out that was when he snapped out the thought, he placed his bleeding palm on the spot and it healed up immediately.

“Hey,get off!”she snapped and he moved back slowly.

“It’s healed now,it was that easy if you had allowed me”Devon said coolily, taking more steps back. His eyes still settling on the mark,he stared at her other wrist and it’s the same there.

“Still don’t want to talk to you”she said hauntingly and began walking away barefooted.

He stared at the ground she walked on and as suspected, met the double half moon shapes on the ground,each representing her footprints with every step she took,his eyes widened even more.

Usually humans or supernaturals being leave footprints on the ground,but her’s was half crescent shaped.

His brows pulled together, confusion settling on his face.

_*You still can’t feel her presence? Her aura is beautiful , she’s the one,the one we are destined to die for,like the prophecy says,she wrote our deaths even before she was born*_ Devil said sternly.

“She can’t be the one”Devon muttered, sadness evident in his eyes.
