*NEXT DAY*

Elena was happily preparing for a small party at home,Diego called and promised he would be back tonight.

So Elena planned to surprise him with a party,she can’t wait to finally be with him peacefully.

“Elena please slow down, you’re going to hurt yourself”Naomi yelled as Elena ran down the stairs like a kid.

“Mom am fine”Elena yelled and continued her race.

She ran towards the door and opened the door,he smile reduced on seeing Luna and Mario.

“Aren’t you happy to see us?”Luna asked but Elena wasn’t even listening,she was looking around to check if Diego had arrived.

“Elena!”Luna called.

“Y…yes”Elena smiled.

“Where are you lost?”Luna asked.

“Nowhere,you can come in”She said and they both came inside.

Mario was helping with the decorations while Luna was helping Naomi in kitchen.

Elena soon joined them.

“I can’t wait any longer”Elena said.

“Stop being dramatic about it”Luna said and Elena rolled her eyes.

“That’s easy for you to say Mario is right here”Elena said and Luna stuck out her tongue teasingly.

“Mom are you seeing what she’s doing,she trying to make me feel bad”Elena said childishly.

“You both are distracting me, are you kids?”Naomi asked

“She started it”Elena said.

Luna was about to reply when the door bell rang again,Elena immediately ran out.

Elena opened the door but her smile dropped again.

“Sister-in-law”Alex called and Elena smiled again.

“You didn’t tell me you were coming back”Elena said.

“I wanted it to be a surprise”Alex winked.

“Where is that cold-hearted soul?”Alex asked and walked in.

“He’s not yet back”Elena said and followed him in.

“Back?,where did he go?”Alex asked.

Elena sat and explained everything to him.

Alex was happy,at least everything was sorted out.

“Hey pretty”Alex called when Luna came out.

“Luna,right?”Alex said and she nodded.

“Oh I’ve missed all if you”Alex hugged Elena and went to hug Luna when Mario appeared in front of her.

“And who is this?”Alex asked.

“Am her boyfriend”Mario replied coldly.

“Prince charming calm down, he’s just a friend”Luna said and held his hand.

Mario looked at her and she smiled cutely.

“Wow,love is everywhere,when will i finally get to be with my true love”Alex said dramatically and they laughed.

Naomi came out.

“Let’s go eat everybody”Naomi said.

“Mom di is not yet here”Elena said.

“He said he’ll be back tonight,my dear this is still four thirty, let’s go eat first”Naomi said and she nodded.

They all went to the dinning table and began eating while chatting.

Elena mind wasn’t on the food or their small discussion,her mind was focused on the door, waiting for her di to come back.

Diego finally ended Lucas and as promised he was keeping Leban in charge of all the affairs of the kingdom.

Leban would basically become the next in command after Diego.

Diego was planning on returning this evening but that wouldn’t be possible

because there was much to be done, concerning the kingdom affairs and also handing Leban the kingdom.

The elites wouldn’t let him go unless he completes everything.

He really didn’t want to disappoint the family especially Elena.

He remembered how happy she sounded when he said he would be coming back.

9:45 PM

Everbody sat waiting for Diego and he hasn’t arrived.

They tried to lighten Elena’s mood but nothing was working,she almost started crying.

Luna fell asleep in Mario’s arms,she was tired infact everybody was tired of waiting.

“I think you guys should go home and rest”Naomi said.

“What about di?”Elena asked.

“Maybe he’ll be back tomorrow,but it’s getting late and everyone needs rest”Naomi said.

Mario left with Luna and Alex went to his usual room.

Naomi tried to get Elena to get to go bed but she refused,she was still waiting for Diego.

It was quarter to midnight and Diego still hasn’t arrived,tears fell from Elena’s eyes as she starred at the closed door.

Hoping Diego would just barge in and give her a big hug,she missed him so much.

No one came,she fell asleep on the couch and not long after Diego came in.

He smiled and looked around,he saw the party decorations,he knew they must have been waiting for him,he felt really bad for disappointing them.

He carried Elena in his arms and took her to the room.

He placed her on the bed and went to switch off the light.

“Are you going to leave me again”Elena’s voice came.

“No,am just going to switch off the light,bunny”Diego said.

He returned to the bed and she sat up.

She starred at him sliently,small tears rolling down her eyes.

“You are the best thing thay has ever happened to me”He said, cleaning her tears and caressing her cheeks.

She grabbed a pillow and hit it on his head.

“Ouch..”He almost fell off the bed.

“That was for leaving me”She said and hit him again.

“And this is for making me wait”She laughed.

She wanted to hit him again but he snatched the pillow from her and kisses her.

She wrapped her hands on his neck and leaned deeper into the kiss.

He slowly broke the kiss.

“Are you good?”He asked and she nodded.

He took her hand and led her to the center of the living room,He brought out a diamond ring and went on one knee.

“I didn’t want to do this here but am too impatient,bunny,ever since i met you my world has changed,you brought a new ray of hope into my life,hope i didn’t even know existed.I love you so much that i could bring the whole world down for you,you are the only one who makes my heart beat faster and slower at the same time though i might not show it, i love you too much to ever let you go,i promise to always be by your side through thick and thin,i promise to always love and support you even if the whole world stand again you,you are my first love and will be my last. I love you…..will you marry me?”Diego said.

His heart was beating like crazy,he knew what her answer was going to be but still…..

Elena was already in tears when he was done,the man she loves with all her heart just asked her to get married to him.she’ll finally be called Mrs. Diego.

“Bunny”He called snapping her out of her dream world.

“Yes…yes I’ll marry you…yes!!!”Elena yelled very loud.

She brought out her hand and he placed the beautiful diamond ring on her finger.

She shrieked loudly.

Naomi and Alex ran into the room thinking that something bad happened.

They calmed down immediately they saw Diego.

“Mom di just purpose to me!!!”Elena yelled jumping like a child.

“How did you make her fall in love with you so much,teach me your ways master”Alex whispered to Diego.

Diego turned and kicked him.

Elena was still smiling widely,she ran and jumped on Diego.

“I love you so much”

“I love you even more bunny”He said.

*MONTHS LATER*

Months after Diego and Elena’s wedding,Elena got pregnant and she was currently in labour.

Diego was restless,he mind wasn’t working correctly.

Everytime he heard Elena scream he would try to enter the labour room but Mario and Alex would stop him.

“Dude just calm down”Alex said.

“But she’s in pain….”Diego said restlessly.

“Are you running mad,just calm down she isn’t the first person to give birth, she’ll be fine”Mario assured.

Diego was still feeling restless.

All he could hear was the doctor shouting, push and Elena’s screams.

Elena screams got louder and Diego couldn’t take it, he dashed into the labour room.

He went near to Elena,she was sweating and crying.

“Di i… I can’t do it”Elena shooked her head.

“Can’t you hear what she’s saying,please do something”Diego said and the nurse smiled.

“Sir calm down your wife is perfectly fine”The nurse said.

Diego turned to Elena and held her hand.

“You can do this just imagine our big happy family,you can do it,okay?”He kissed her forehead and she nodded.

*A YEAR LATER*

Elena gave birth to a cute baby boy named, Miguel.

Luna and Mario got married and she’s expecting her first child.

Alex started dating Linda after Carlos got arrested when he tried to kidnap her.

Naomi stood as a mother figure to all of them.

Everything was just perfect.

Elena was sitting on the bed brêast feeding Miguel while Diego watched with jealousy.

Ever since Miguel was born,Elena barely had time for him,she was always busy taking care of Miguel.

“Can you stop looking at our child like that, do you want to ki|| him with your eyes alone?”Elena asked.

“He’s just too annoying and always needy”Diego scoffed.

“He’s a baby di,he needs attention”

“And what about me,i also need attention”Diego pouted and she laughed.

“Okay fine”

Soon Miguel slept off and Elena placed him in the cradle.

She turned and Diego was standing behind her.

“Finally”He muttered and picked her up in a bridal style.

She smiled when he dropped her on the bed and kisses her.

He kissed her deeper,his hand exploring every part of her body.

He reached for her gown zipper and was about pulled open it when Miguel began crying.

“What the fûck!”Diego half yelled.

“Is he doing this on purpose?”Diego sighed.

Elena quickly got off the bed and rushed to Miguel.

Diego just sat jealously watching her pet Miguel.

Sometimes he wish he could be Miguel so he could have his bunny all to himself,he doesn’t want to share her with anyone.
