“Simon!”Rockey yelled as she began searching around for him.

Tears filled her eyes and she couldn’t think straight.

Someone suddenly pulled her and her head bumped into someone’s chest.

“Simon”She called sofly.

“Why are you crying?”He asked and wiped her tears.

“I thought something happened to you “She cried and hugged him tight.

“Stop behaving like a crybaby”He said stroking her long hair.

“Where did you go?”She asked and broke the hug.

“My phone fell on the way here,i went to look for it”He said.

“You made me scared me!,why couldn’t you tell me before going,i was scared something had happened to you,if you….”

He shut her up with a kiss but she broke the kiss immediately.

“Do you think a kiss is going to fix this,that am going to forgive you so easily?”She said.

“I don’t even get why you’re upset, am fine and I’m right here”He said.

“Stay away from me”She turned and left,he went after her.

He hugged her from behind and she froze.

“Can we just stop fighting,i h@ťě when you’re angry with me”He mumbled,broke the hug and made her face him.

“Apologize”She mumbled and folded her arms.

“Am sorry, butterfly”He said and she smiled.

“Am not a butterfly”She said.

“You are so fûcking cute like one”He and kisses her.

He soon broke the kiss and she turned away shyly.

“Should we go back?”He asked and she nodded.

“Piggyback ride”She said and spread her arms wide.

He bent in front if her and she climbed his back.

•NEXT MORNING•

Kara woke up with a big headache and her vision was blurry,it always gets like this when ever she drinks.

She stood up and tried walking into the bathroom but she mistakenly hit her foot on the bed frame and she fell.

She stood up and immediately the door opened.

She couldn’t see well but she knew it was Richard.

“Good morning,am sorry for waking up late,it seriously wasn’t my intention,qm sorry”She mumbled.

“Be down in ten minutes”He mumbled and left.

“How will i get ready in ten minutes, don’t he know it takes time to look this beautiful”She sighed and entered the bathroom.

In about twenty to thirty minutes she came out with a towel wrapped around her body.

She took her time to apply her cream and wear her clothes.

She came down and Richard wasn’t there.

“Where is he?”Kara asked Carl.

“He left already”Carl said and Kara gapsed.

She ran out of the house to see his car already driving through the gate.

“How could he leave me”She mumbled and took off her shoe.

She threw it at the car,at first she didn’t think it was going to touch the car but she was wrong,it hit the car and left a small crack on it.

He stopped the car and came out.

She gulped when he started walking closer to her.

“Am sorry, I didn’t think it would hit the car……”

She kept quiet when she saw the hard glare Richard was $h00ting her.

“Are you stupid?…you poor people don’t know the value of things right? Do you how much the car is worth and how much it takes to get it fixed? I wouldn’t expect a poor lowlife like you to know”Richard said.

“Am sorry….”She sniffed.

“You think i was going to keep waiting for you after you wasted my time,who the hell do you think you are?”He asked.

“Am your wife”She mumbled.

“Wife? This stupid marriage means nothing to me,your father sold you to me, you’re not my wife but just a slave to me,get this in your stupid head”He said harshly, walked back to the car and drove off.

Hot tears immediately fell down her cheeks.

“Sometimes he is nice and other times he’s heartless,i h@ťě him”She mumbled as she walked to the company.

It took her over thirty minutes to reach the company because of how slow she was walking.

She sat down on her chair and sighed out.

Her legs were swollen because of hoe tight her shoe was and she didn’t have money to get new ones.

Someone knocked on the door.

“Come in”Kara said while taking off her shoes.

“Good morning”Chelsea smiled at her.

“Are you talking to me?”Kara asked looking around to see if there was anyone else in the room.

“Yes am talking to you,i want to apologize for what i did”Chelsea said.

“I don’t understand”Kara gave a confused look.

“I was the one who sent the man to rape you,am sorry”Chelsea said and Kara’s eyes widened.

“Am really sorry it was so stupid of me,i hope you can forgive me”Chelsea added.

“Of course since you’ve apologized then it’s fine”Kara said and Chelsea smiled.

“Can we be friends?”Chelsea asked.

“Yeah sure”Kara smiled.

“Thank you”Chelsea said and left.

Immediately she stepped out she saw Leah leaning in front of the office.

“Is this friendship genuine or you have a plan?”Leah asked.

“How can i actually become friends with that thing,i want to make her pay and i decided to try a different approach”Chelsea said and walked away while Leah followed.

Chelsea knocked on Richard’s office.

“Come in”He muttered and she walked in.

“Where you deaf yesterday when I asked you to leave?”Richard asked.

“Am sorry for what i did,i already apologized to Kara and she forgave me we even became friends”

“What’s your point here?”

“Please don’t fire me,am really sorry i promise nothing like this will ever happened again”Chelsea pleaded with fake tears.

“Get up”He said and she did.

“You can have your job back”He said and she smiled.

“Thank you”She walked over to him and pecked him.

“Don’t try that again without my permission”He muttered and she nodded.

“Leave”He said and she left.

•EVENING•

All the employees already left for work except Kara and Richard.

Kara finished up the work Richard gave her and left the office.

Surprisedly she met Richard waiting outside for her.

“Let’s go”He sais and walked away,she followed him silently.

Richard went into his room and sat down,his phone rang and he brought it out of his pocket.

“What?”

“Come to the house tonight,i have something important to discuss with you”Carson said and cut the call.

Richard sighed and threw his phone on the bed, nothing good ever comes out of going to that house.

He went into the bathroom, freshened up and wore different clothes.

He came downstairs and met Kara sitting on the dining with a plate of food ,seems like she was waiting for him.

Before she could talk he left.

He got into his car and drove out in full speed.

He soon got to the mansion and he first met Holland in the sitting room with a bowl of popcorn.

“Why are you here?”Holland asked.

“Do i need your permission to come to my house”Richard scoffed.

“This house is not yours”Holland rolld his eyes.

“Look whose talking, you’re just a bastard so know your fûcking place”Richard said and Holland folded his fist.

Richard left and went into Carson’s room,Carson was sitting on the bed with a cigarette.

“Why did you aske me to come?”Richard asked.

Carson faced him.

“Sit”

“Say what you want to say now or am leaving”Richard muttered.

“There’s a Business meeting in Chicago, you’re going to attend and make sure ti take your so called wife with you”Carson said and Richard frowned.

“Is that why you called me here,what happened to telling me over the phone”Richard asked,when Carson didn’t respond he barged out angrily.

Richard got downstairs, Holland was still sitting but he had a smile on his lips.

“Safe trip”Holland muttered as Richard walked pass him.

Richard got into his car and drove out,he was still driving when he noticed a puppy on the road,he tried to stop but the breaks were not working.

“What the fûck!”He muttered and tried again but the break didn’t work.

Luckily he didn’t hit the puppy,it ran away but his car wouldn’t stop or slow down,he immediately knew whose doing it was.

The car kept on moving faster and faster…..

FEW MINUTES LATER.

Kara fell asleep on the dining table while waiting for Richard.

She stood up and walked to the kitchen,Carl was there.

“Is he back?”Kara asked.

“Yes, he’s by the pool but he’s wounded I don’t think he would want to……”

Before Carl could finish Kara ran off.

Richard was sitting near the pool,he had jumped out the car before it hit a tree but his arm got wounded and it was bleeding badly.

“What happened to you?”Kara rushed to him and held the arm.

“Does it hurt?”She asked but he pulled his arm away.

“Stay away from me”He said in a stern voice.

“Let me just get the hand treated first you might get an infection”She held his hand again.

“I said stay the fûck away from me!”He pushed her away and she slipped into the pool.

He began walking away without turning back.

“He…help!!…i… I can’t……i can’t s…swim!!!”Kara was struggling in the water.
