“Touch her and I’ll make sure you don’t use that hand again”Richard said.

He came back because he noticed he forgot his phone in the office,when he came back to get it he heard Kara’s screams.

The man immediately left Kara and tried to run but Richard easily caught him.

“How dare you touch her!”Richard said and punched him repeatedly.

The man screamed in pain,he began bleeding from the nose.

“Who sent you?”Richard asked choking the man.

“I… I’m so… sor..ry”The man shuttered, gasping for air.

Richard gave him another kick and the man fell unconscious.

Kara was curled up in a corner too scared to move… everything just seemed like a movie to her.what if Richard hadn’t come to save her?

Richard squat beside her starring at her.

She sniffed and hugged him.

He didn’t push her away neither did he make an attempt to hug her back.

He gently broke the hug and removed his jacket,he wore it on her and carried her out.

Throughout the drive home she didn’t say anything,she just kept crying.

Kara found it very hard to sleep that night and when she finally did,she couldn’t even sleep in peace.

Richard came into the room to check up on her,she was sleeping but she was mumbling some inaudible words.

He moved closer to her and listened attentively.

“I’m…a.. murder,i ki||ed him”

What is she talking about?…Richard suddenly got interested in her.

He left the room and went to the living room for a drink while Kara was still battling with her dreams.

“You’re a murder,you deserve to die!!!”People were point fingers at little kara and all she could do was cry.

“It wasn’t my fault,i didn’t mean it”Little kara cried but no one was ready to listen to her.

“Please believe me,dad!!! Help me”Kara cried as they dragged her away.

Kara suddenly jerked up from her dream,her face was covered with sweat and her breath incoherent.

She felt scared and she immediately ran out of the room.

She ran till she got to the living room,Richard looked up at her when she ran in breathing heavily.

“What’s wrong?”He asked.

She shooked her head but she was still crying.

“Then why the fûck are you crying?”Richard asked and stood up.

“Am sorry”She mumbled and cleaned her tears.

“Go”He said calmly but she still remained still,she was too scared to stay alone after the dream she had.

“If you won’t leave then I’ll “He said and left.

She sighed and sat on the couch,her mind went to what happened five years ago,this incident reminded her of it.

Who would believe her if she had told them she was innocent so she decided to hide the truth.

She slowly drifted to sleep on the couch.

Few minutes later Richard came down and saw her,he picked her up in his arms and carried her to her room.

He went outside and drove off in his car.

He stopped the car at an abandoned building,the smell of alcohol filled the building and broken bottle laid everywhere.

Richard stepped into a dimmed room,the man that tried to rape Kara was tied to a chair.

On the table their were different torture weapon ready to be used.

Richard poured water on the man and he woke up.

“Who sent you?”Richard asked point-blank.

“I don’t know her name,she wore a pink shirt and a black skirt,she had long hair and brown eyes”The man said without shuttering.

“Chelsea”Richard muttered through clenched teeths.

Richard untied on of the man’s hand and held it firmly on the table.

“Wh..what are you doing?”The man asked, looking scared.

“I want to teach you how to stay away from what’s mine”Richard said and cut the man’s fingers in one go.

“Please forgive me,am sorry!!!”The man yelled as Richard tried to cut the fingers of his other hand.

“Sir please i have a family and a little daughter, spare me”The man said and Richard stopped.

Richard turned to leave but he came back.

“I changed my mind”He said and shoved an arrow into the man’s right eye.

Then he walked away with a smirk, enjoying the man’s loud screams.

He returned home and went into his room peacefully like nothing happened.

The next morning Kara woke up very early so she could eat breakfast before going to work.

She came downstairs and met richard with a cup of coffee.

‘who drinks coffee in the morning?’She thought inwardly.

“Good morning”She greeted and he nodded.

She went into the kitchen and met Carl cleaning up.

“What’s for breakfast?”She asked with a smile.

“Bread toast,butter and tea”He said and she frowned.

“I can’t eat down now,do you have cereal?”She asked.

“Yes, it’s in the upper shelf”He said.

Immediately his phone rang and he excused himself to answer it.

Kara could see the box of cereal but she couldn’t reach it,she stood on her tiptoe and stretched her hand but it’s was still very far.

A hand came from behind and took the cereal,she turned and faced Richard.

“Take the day off, we’re going to my parents house in the evening”He said,gave her the cereal and walked awy.

Why is he suddenly becoming nice?..he even carried her to her room last night,she smiled and went to get a plate.

The students were preparing for their school field trip,all the students got into the bus and the bus zoomed off.

Rockey sat at Simon’s right while Zena was at the left.

Zena stood up to use the bathroom when the bus went over a pothole,she fell directly on Simon’s laps.

“Am sorry”She smiled at him.

“Get up”He said.

“Huh?”

“Are you deaf?”He asked.

“Sorry”She smiled and ran away.

Simon looked at Rockey and she looked away.

“What’s wrong?”He asked.

“Nothing”She said but her facial expressions was say something else.

“Spill it out”

“How could you let her sit on your laps?”She asked.

“It wasn’t my fault,she j……”

“And so you could have easily pushed her off instead you were enjoying the moment”She snapped.

“Who said i was enjoying it?….”Simon sighed.

Rockey looked away and faced the window.

“You’re jealous?”He smirked.

“I’m not jealous,you can fûck her for all i care”

“Maybe i will”He said and stood up.

“Where are you going?”She faced him immediately.

“To find her……”

She pulled him down and he landed back on his sit,he laughed.

“I h@ťě you”She mumbled and looked away.

He kissed her cheek and her face turned red instantly.

“Cute”He mumbled and kissed her again.

“Stop that”She mumbled and blushed.

“Stop this lovey-dovey stuff, we’re here”Jade said.

“Let’s go”Simon said and took Rockey’s hand.

All the students highlighted the bus.

“Where were you?”Chloe asked when Zena came.

“I went to use the restroom,i was having a running stomach”Zena said.

“You should have seen the way Rockey and Simon were behaving like lovers”Chloe said.

“What?!”

“Alright students gather here”Their teacher,Miss Magan said.

All the students cane closer to her.

“group yourselves into groups of five and set up your tents,do you understand?”

“Yes ma”The students chorused.

“Do you want to be on my group?”Simon asked.

“No”Rockey said and walked away.

He followed her.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes”She said.

“Hey guys,can i join your group?”Britney asked.

“Sure”Simon replied with a slight smile.

“What about me?”Jade pouted.

“If he’s in this group then am out”Britney said.

“Come on darling”Jade said and put his hand over her shoulder.

“Don’t call me that”She pushed his hand away.

“Okay we need one more person”Simon said.

“All the groups are complete,can i join this one”Zena came over and asked.

“Of course”Jade nodded.

“Then we’re complete”

“Morning Richie baby”She said and started walking over to him.

“Stop”He said and she did.

“Tomorrow when Kara comes to work apologize,drop your office key and get out”Richard said and her eyes widened.

“What!?…why?”She asked.

“I won’t want to remind you what you did,am sure you know it well”

“Am sorry but don’t fire me pls”She begged and almost started crying.

“Get out!”He said harshly and she left.
