Richard walked into the building ignoring the numerous greetings from his employees.

He enters his office and sits on his chair.

Almost immediately Chelsea walks in.

“Good morning, boss”Chelsea bows.

Richard replies with a slight nod,his eyes still fixed on the computer.

“Sir,the mining company that supplies minerals doesn’t want to work with us anymore”Chelsea said and Richard looked up.

“Why?”He asked.

“I don’t know,they called this morning”

“Don’t worry about it, I’ll find another company”Richard said.

Chelsea still stood still watching him,she had naughty thoughts in her head but she brushed it off knowing fully well that he doesn’t joke during work.

“Is there anything else?”Richard asked, snapping her out of her thoughts.

“No sir I’ll leave”Chelsea says and leaves.

With a loud sigh Richard shuts his computer.

His mind kept bugging him with what Carson said.

How can he lose this company. And to Holland of all people.

Holland is his half brother and they have been enemies right from the day Carson brought him home.

Carson had cheated on his mom,Nicole might have easily forgiven him because of her loving nature but Richard just couldn’t.

Their hatred for each other grew because Carson always supported Holland,even when he was wrong.

Richard slightly rubed his forehead and brought out his phone.

He dailed a number and the person picked after a few seconds.

“I was talking with a man right outside the company this morning, check the CCTV footage and get me his details”Richard said and cut the call.

The upcoming prom night was the talk of the school since it was announced this morning.

The school was beaming with smiles as boys ask out girls to be their date, although some got rejected.

Rockey walked up to her locker to get her books for the first period.

As soon as she got out her maths textbook and closed the locker,she turned to find, Jackson with a flowers in his hands.

He had a smile.

“Rockey will you be my date to the prom?”Jackson asked.

All eyes were already on them to know Rockey’s answer, including Simon.

Rockey sincerely didn’t want to go but how could she turn him down in front of the school.

“Yes”She said and he hands the flower of to her.

“See you friday night”Jackson winks and walks away.

Simon eyes were still on her as she opened her locker and dropped the flowers inside.

He started walking to class as Jade joins him.

“Hey dude,why the grumpy look?”Jade asked and put his hand around Simon’s shoulder.

“Nothing”Simon said.

“Is it about that your crush,i can talk to her for you”Jade said and Simon shot him a glare.

“I want to ask Britney out but am not sure if she’ll agree”Jade said.

“If she doesn’t just thr_@ten her”Simon said.

“Are you a former criminal or what?”Jade asked with a grin.

They both kept chatting until they got to class.

After the class was over Simon and Jade walked out together.

Jade spots Britney walking with a book in her hand.

“I’ll be back”Jade says and went after Britney.

“Hey,brit”Jade smiled at her.

“Hi”She replied and continue walking.

“Will you be my date to the prom?”Jade asked and Britney stops to face him.

“Am not interested”She said.

“But why?…..”

“I don’t like parties,i prefer reading at home rather than wasting my time on parties”Britney replied and resumed walking with her book.

Jade snatched the book from her.

“What’s your problem?,give me my book!”Britney yelled and tried to take the book but he lifts his hand up, making it impossible since he’s much taller than her.

“If you accept to be my date I’ll return the book”Jade said with a smirk.

“I won’t just give me my book!”She yelled.

“Then you don’t want it back”Jade said and ran off with the book.

“Jade!….give me my book… I’ll be your date just return my book…..jade!!!”Britney yelled and ran after him.

A gentle know was placed on Richard’s door.

“Come in”He groaned.

A young man walks in with a file in his hand.

“Boss,this is the information you asked for”He drops the file on the dest and leaves with a bow.

Richard picks up the file and opens it.

The first page contained everything about Michael,his age,phone number, account details and his picture…

He turnsed the second page and it contained almost everything about simon, his age,school,phone number,even his crush on Rockey.

Richard scoffed and turned the last page.

His eyes first fell on Kara’s picture,she was looking illegally cute for her age.

Her eyes alone were enough to make any man’s head spin.

Her lips were so small, infact everything about her was small.

The door burst open and Richard frowned.

“Don’t you know how to knock?”Richard asked looking pissed.

“Am sorry,i couldn’t get my mind off you”Chelsea said and walked over to him.

“If you have nothing important to tell me them leave”Richard said.

Chelsea came even closer and sat on his laps.

“You look stressed,let me help a little”She said roaming her hands on his sêxy abs.

“Get up”He ordered but she shut home with a kiss.

The door opened again and Nicole came in with a huge frown at the scene she was seeing.

“Richard!”Nicole half yelled.

Richard broke the kiss and Chelsea stood up.

“Am sorry for interrupting your work maybe i should leave”Nicole said.

“Leave”Richard said to Chelsea and she took a bow and left.

“I can’t believe you, Richard”Nicole shooked her head.

“Mom why are you here?”Richard asked.

“I brought food for you”Nicole said with a light smile and came closer.

She placed the food on his table and opened the lunch box.

She handed it to him with a spoon.

Richard began eating.

“Who is she?”Nicole asked referring to the picture of Kara on the desk.

“No one”Richard muttered and closed the file.

“She’s cute”Nicole said with a smile.

Nicole grabs a chair and sits.

The school was over and all the students poured out in group chatting to themselves,the news about the prom was still on everyone’s tongue.

“See you Friday night”Jade winked at Britney,she rolled her eyes and walked.

Rockey was walking home alone,as usual.

She lives with her uncle after her parents died in a bomb blast.

Her life was what you would describe as horrible,her uncle is a cronic drunkard.

He doesn’t care about her,she is a scholarship student and she does a part-time job as a waitress in a restaurant.

Her was walking home but she felt strange so she turned back only to find Simon following her.

She turned back and started speed walking home but he was still following her.

“Why did you accept to be Jackson’s date?”Simon asked still following her.

“That’s non of your business”Rockey replied without turning back.

“Don’t go”He said and she turned around to face him.

“Why?…”

“If you don’t listen then anything that happens to him will be on you”He said and walked away.

She gulped and continued to walk home,when she got home,she quickly changed and went to work.

After Nicole left, Richard opened the file again,he starred at Kara’s picture for a while.

“A new plaything”He smirked.

He dailed Michael’s number that he got from the file.

“Hello, who’s this?”Michael asked after answering the call.

“I’ll send you five million and after the wedding I’ll send you the rest just get the bride prepared by tomorrow night”Richard said point-blank.

Michael immediately knew who it was,he was grateful,five million would go a long way for their family.

“Thank you, sir”Michael said and hung up.

Almost immediately he phone beeped,it was a credit alarm of five million.

Michael smiled his mind first went to Kara,he has to pay Mattias and get Kara released.
