** NEXT DAY, A BEACH **

It’s Saturday but non of them have plans of going home. They planned on going to an amusement park but changed to a beach on a picnic.

“Everything ready!”Vince shouted to the girls, playing in the waters and they rushed down to them.

“Feeling cold?”Vince asked Julie who shaked positively and he covered her with the blanket.

“You shouldn’t have gone in but you wouldn’t listen”he said.

“Others where in”she muttered.

“What are we doing now?”Fiona asked, getting everyone’s attention.

“A little game”Daniel said.

“When did he start talking?”Emily said.

“I’ve gotten mouth, c’mon”he scoffed and she chuckled.

“Okay, I know of one, we the girls would hide something and the guys have to look for one at least, then….any one a guy picks for any of us, they’d be dates for the next game”Emily said.

“What next game?”Richie asked.

“Anyone can suggest that afterwards”she said.

“What should we hide then?”Arabella asked.

“Yeah, it should be same thing”May said.

“A foot of our sneakers”Emily said and they nodded, picking their shoes as they ran away.

“Don’t worry dude, if you pick someone else’s own and I pick that of Ara, I’d give it to you secretly”Finn said to Richie.

“And brag about it later?”Richie scoffed.

“You’re ungrateful dude”Finn laughed.

“We’re just four and they’re five”Daniel said as they got ready.

“You can find two then”Vince said.

“We’re ready!”Emily shouted from a distance and they all ran off.

Alex met his Dad about leaving the house but he walked past him like he saw nothing.

“I found out you’re after a girl”his Dad said and he stopped to face him.

“Have a business with that?”Alex scoffed.

“I could make her yours if you’re ready to do what I want”he said.

“You could just ignore me like you’ve always done instead”

“I would have you stop smoking and drinking, use your youth days meaningfully not this way you’re living it!”he shouted.

“You were about leaving”Alex said and began walking away.

“I talked with your therapist, you could try going there at least once!”he shouted before walking out of the house.

Alex walked in his room and sighed. He had thoughts of whipping himself as usual but changed his mind as he thought of going to the therapist.

His eyes moved to his phone on the bed as it rang. It’s Evelyn.

Ignoring it, he began pulling off his clothes but his phone rang again, thinking it’s Evelyn, he picked without checking who it is.

“Don’t you understand words!”he snapped.

“How do you know it’s me, you’ve gotten my number already?”Paul’s voice sounded and he looked at his phone screen.

“How did you get mine?”he asked.

“Secret?”

“I’m not playing games”Alex scoffed.

“I have my ways with things, what are you up to though?”

“You’re free?”Alex asked instead.

“Yeah…. don’t tell me you’re in front of my gate!?”he grinned.

“Silly, I’ll be there in twenty minutes though”Alex said.

“Taking me out?”he gushed.

“We’re going to the hospital”he said and hung up.

** BACK AT THE BEACH **

“Woah! Daniel got that of May!”Emily screamed.

“So we’re dates?”May muttered.

“Let’s hit to a club tonight, what ya all say?”Emily asked and they nodded. She searched for Julie, then saw her with Vince before smiling.

“Those two”she muttered.

“Just give me a hint”Vince pouted.

“No cheating”Julie winked and he groaned.

“If I get that of another, don’t get angry”he said.

“I would”she muttered.

“Then tell me”he said.

“No”

“Ah!”he screamed in frustration and she laughed.

“I’m searching no more!”he said.

“I got yours babe!”Richie screamed as he ran to Arabella.

“See that, there was no cheating!”Julie snapped.

“Not like you’d give me a kiss if I get it”he muttered going back to search for it but she heard.

“Hey”Fiona held her as she was about going with Vince.

“Hm?”

“I wanna tell Vince about my feelings tonight”Fiona said and she hiccupped unexpectedly.

“I tried to stop my feelings for him cause I feel he won’t say yes…. but I still wanna give it a try”she added.

“Why….why are you telling me?”Julie asked with a little stutter.

“You’re my friend and his best friend”she said.

“Okay….”Julie muttered and turned but Fiona went to her front.

“I know you like him also but you’re hiding it”she said.

“What…..”

“If my luck fails, then it’s surely you”Fiona smiled and walked away. Julie stared at her till she joined the others. She gulped down nothing as her eyes went in search of Vince who she sees running to her with a foot of her sneakers, before she could get it, he got to her and carried her, swinging her, making her laugh.

“I got it!!”he kept screaming.

“Come on, drop me already!”she laughed and he did.

“Here”he squatted in front of her, taking her other foot since she’s putting on the other sneakers.

He finally putted it on and stood up, smiling.

“Happy now?”he asked.

“Yeah”she smiled.

“I’m free then”he sighed and she moved closer, pecking him on the lips before rushing off.

Vince stood there for a minutes, smiling before jogging off to join the others.

** NIGHT, A CLUB **

“Over here!”May waved at Finn who’s the last one to arrive.

“You’ve been waiting, you look excited to see me”he smiled as he sat next to her.

“You wish”she scoffed.

“I’m the one with no date tonight, uhn?”Emily said sarcastically and they laughed.

“I would say she hid it somewhere hard to find on purpose”Daniel said.

“You can’t say that”she said.

“Let’s hit the dance floor!”Arabella dragged Richie away and with that, they both got mixed with the dancing crowd.

“Can we talk?”Fiona whispered to Vince and stood up while he followed after a while.

“Fiona”he called as he got out.

“You’re here?”she said with a smile and he nodded, not knowing if it’s a question or something else.

“Why did you ask to see me?”he asked after a couple of silence.

“I wanted you to know this. I feel for you too quick, I mean I’m not even down with my first year in college and I’m deeply into you, reason why I’m always all over you. I was gonna stop my feelings without telling you about it but I just wanna try”she said.

“You liked me?”he asked gently.

“I still do”she said.

“Thanks for liking me but….”

“It’s fine, I don’t know but I don’t wanna hear you reject me and about the one you like instead, try to let her know before it’s too late”she muttered.

“I’m sor….”

“Can you just try not to ignore me at least, it’d help me get over you and yeah, you’re really handsome and I like your smile the more. I wanted to say that at least”she smiled.

“Fio….”

“Tell the others I left”she smiled with a wave, walking away.

He sighed as he watched her walked out of sight, turning, he met Julie behind him.

They both stared at each other without saying a thing. All what’s on their minds is their memories together.

Both said at a time.

“I was looking for you and….”she trailed.

“You heard that”he said, ignoring what she’s saying.

“Fiona”he added.

“Who’s the other girl if she isn’t the one?”he asked.

“It’s silly”he muttered and she took three steps closer to him.

“How’s it silly?”she muttered.

“I don’t know but it’s really silly, I shouldn’t have liked her, we should have just maintained our perfect relationship and not me feeling this way”he muttered.

“Who?”she muttered.

“I like everything about her, I love when she smiles and laugh and I wanna be the reason she smiles and laugh…..”

“Stop talking about another girl!”she snapped and he almost laughed at her cuteness.

“It’s you!”she snapped also.

“You Julie, it’s you and it’s silly liking….”

“It’s not silly neither am I. You shouldn’t say liking me is silly”she pouted.

“Uhn?”He blinked and she moved more closer, doing the same thing at the beach. She pecked his lips.

“I won’t be doing this if I don’t like you”she said.

“Really? You….. you like…..me?”he stuttered.

“Yeah”she nodded.

“For real Julie, no jokes”he said.

“I’m not joking”she scoffed.

“For real….”

“Stop talking!”she snapped and turned, leaving but he ran to her.

“I like you more, I’m in love with you best friend”he said and moved closer, raising her chin with a finger, he slowly kissed her.
