Jade was interrupted when the Emperor stood in rage making to throw her over the room but Kai stood in front and the glare diverted to him.

“We need are healthy for the contest this morning your majesty”. Kai said and for the first time the Emperor broke into a mocking laughter.

“Healthy for which contest? To showcase what talent if not disgrace me out there!!”. Emperor Damien suddenly snapped and Kai bowed in apology.

“You are the one who focused more on punishing me than training me”. Jade muttered her head still and Emperor Damien glanced sharply at her.

“What did you just say?”. He asked in a low thr_@tening tone and Jade instantly lowered her head.

“ki|| me your majesty! Or else I’ll go out there and rub your name in the mud!”. Jade said loudly making sure her head hit the floor and the Emperor smirked.

“Who said you were going to represent me?”. Emperor Damien asked and Jade raised up her head to stare at him in confusion, but the Emperor gave Kai a sly look instead and Kai blinked in puzzlement, but later is eyes widened.

“It will be too obvious your majesty. Everyone knows how powerless she is, me replacing her will make them suspicious…

“No it will make them see me as a capable mentor. I acquired this witch by mistake and I’m sending her away after today’s contest to keep my sanity. Someone else will definitely remove the sword but not her, she’s wasted”. Emperor Damien said walking to his wardrobe in search of a barely soiled warrior robe before throwing it on and Jade only quietly stared at him, she was used to hearing people call her the same old waste and never cared but hearing it from the Emperor for the first time made her feel somewhat unhappy. clearing her throat she opened her mouth to speak..

“If you’re sending me away will I get paid for my service of enduring torture in your hands?”. Jade asked a glint of curiousness in her eyes and the Emperor faced her in rage.

“Is that the only thing you think of?! You are one useless lady trust me when i say you’re the worse I’ve ever come across!!”. Emperor Damien sneered harshly.

“I was just asking a question? Would you possibly just throw me out stranded? Sometimes i even wonder if you’re really deserving of your emperor position, it would be best if this kingdom was just bland without a ruler….

The rest of her words got stuck in her throat when in anger the Emperor struck her with a bright lightening and she flew far from him, his eyes red with anger, landing violently on the ground she passed out and blood began oozing from her mouth. Kai’s widened as he watched what just unfolded before him.

“Throw wh@ťěver remains of her into the dungeon and get the maids to clean this chamber”. The Emperor’s firm anger clothed voice said as he fully dressed and left the chamber with his mask and glove on, while Kai bowed respectfully in his exit.

<GENERAL PRACTICE HALL>

Everyone were given their special swords already still in their blue trainees uniform. They practiced the three ski||s they’ll be showcasing today.

1 Reflexes in terms of how fast they are in running!

2. Their spell casting ski||s

3. Then lastly sword fighting ski||s

They were divided into 10 teams since they were 550 in total, so they were 55 in each teams. Team A – J, Hani was the ace of Team A, Mina ace of Team B, Giselle Hani’s friend was also in team B, Asa the ace of Team C, Bae of Team D, Sana of team E and Cherry the ace of team F, Nazia was also one of the team members in F, then the remaining teams had their own aces as well.

The 10 teams were to first have a sword fight more like a mini war. Two teams each facing each other off so anyone contestant that gets striked with a sword on her right arm thrice will be eliminated and sent home with medicines and varieties of goodies.

While the winners get to move to the next round of a thousand metre complicated race with lots of hurdles and then finally the spell casting.

“I feel somewhat excited! After today we’re going to be less in number and then we’ll know our true enemies and whose really in our way”. Bae smirked and Sana smirked back.

“I can’t wait for Hani to get eliminated and see the look on her face, when we move to the next round”. Sana replied glaring at Hani who stood at the other end of the hall talking with Giselle.

“Follow the original plan and victory won’t be far from us”. Hani said to Giselle who nodded like a dog as she helped her with her dress.

“We might be in different teams but that doesn’t stops us from working together, when You need help I’ll be there but once you see my signal act fast so we win instantly”. Hani said and Giselle nodded.

“Anything for you Hani!”. Giselle said and Hani smiled shortly looking around for Mina who was absent again.

“I’m still so sad. I really did my best but Chief Fury made me join team F, I knew becoming his student was a big mistake!”. Nazia whined hugging Asa tight and Asa rolled eyes at her.

“Just make sure you don’t get eliminated and quit complaining!”. Asa sighed out looking completely fed up and Nazia pouted, but Asa ignored her looking around.

“Isn’t Jade competing too? She wasn’t appointed to any team also”. Asa mumbled to herself but Nazia heard her anyway.

“Since when do you care about her?! Plus she’ll obviously be in Team K that’s if there’s any team called that! Plus isn’t she the Emperor’s student? That’s for him to worry about not us!”. Nazia replied bluntly and Asa only just rolled eyes at her.

<COURT ROOM>

“Thank you your majesty for your generosity. We hope to treat you to a huge buffet at our mansion anytime soon…

“That’s when one of our daughters finally becomes the Empress”. Minister Ling said smiling widely as the minister he cut off glared secretly at him.

The Emperor sat right on his throne staring uninterestedly at his top ministers who have been aruging for the past minutes, they were twenty of them each by his left and right side all at the sides.

“You don’t have to be too confident Minister Ling. Heard Prime Minister Wang’s daughters are all gifted, especially his first daughter Mina she’s a big ace and could possibly take the Empress title”. Another Minister said and Minister Wang who stood quietly like his fellow ministers only let out a tiny sigh.

“You should be proud of your own daughter instead Zhuo and stop using someone else’s daughter to curry favour with the Emperor”. Another Minister said.

“And besides it’s only Wang’s first three daughters that are useful the rest especially the witch who pretended to be blind are nothing but expensive empty crates they only have their pretty faces and nothing else to offer”. Minister Long, Minister Ling’s best friend stated and Minister Wang threw him a sharp gaze.

“Don’t you ever drag my daughters into your feud Long….

“You have a blind daughter? Is she particpating in the contest?”. The Emperor’s voice finally interrupted and Prime Minister Wang bowed immediately.

“As per your orders your majesty”. Minister Wang replied responsibly.

“But she’s very useless so please don’t put any atom of hope in her your majesty. She’s just a tricky being she might have also lie to the heavens to have existed”. Minister Ling said and Emperor Damien arched his brows in puzzlement not understanding what they meant, till Kai came and whispered something into his ear before going back to standing behind the Emperor.

“So the witch was his daughter?”. The Emperor asked and Prime Minister Wang gulped down nothing.

“Yes your majesty! You know her too?! She’s a witch that will be ki||ed the moment she gets eliminated from this contest”. Minister Long said.

“How do you feel about that prime minister”. The Emperor asked Prime Minister Wang.

“I have no problem with her execution as i focus on serving this kingdom only. I and the women in my household have tried teaching her a few spells but nothing seems to work for her so we just let fate take its course your majesty”. Minister Wang replied, not batting an eyelid.

“Women?”. The Emperor asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh, I have a total of eleven women in my household your majesty. A wife, three concubines and seven daughters…

“No wonder you don’t care about loosing the one whose more of a trouble to you”. The Emperor muttered and Minister Wang kept mute for sometime before speaking.

“Her mother was a mere slave who seduced me and that was how she was birthed so, sending her back to her mother might really be we doing her a favour….

“You think like a demon. Do you have any lineage with them?”. The Emperor asked getting up from his throne and all the Minister’s went down on their knees immediately, their heads lowered as the Emperor stoicly strolled to the Prime Minister while Minister Ling smirked secretly.

“I’m sorry for my vile words your majesty…

“How much to keep her”. The Emperor asked and everyone’s eyes widened.

“Huh? I mean I don’t understand what you mean your majesty”. Minister Wang asked.

“How much to purchase your little witchy daughter as one of my servants”. Emperor Damien further asked and Minister Wang’s eyes and those of the other Minister’s widened more as Minister Wang instantly bowed more lower.

“I dare not sell her to you your majesty, cause she’s of no use…

“Then she’s free then. As from now on she’ll now a woman in my harem and not of your household any longer. Dismiss”. Emperor Damien said walking out of the court room.

“All hail our majesty the Emperor!!”. The ministers yelled as the Emperor firmly exited with puzzled Kai.

Mina heard everything and was totally stroke as she didn’t move an inch, so the Emperor came out of the court not even sparing her a glance he walked away and Kai gave a glare to get lost which she did.

“Your daughter has just been purchased for free as a mistress!!!”. Minister Long laughed loudly expecting others to laugh with him but instead everyone including Minister Ling Hani’s father rushed to Prime Minister curiously.

“One of your daughters is now the Emperor’s mistress and another three might be either an Empress or his concubine, please tell me the name of the spell you chanted for them before departing your house, i want to know please”. Minister Ling asked and Minister Long walked to him instantly.

“Don’t you have fate in Hani anymore?!”. Minister Long snapped and when Minister Ling made to reply the prime minister walked out of the court instead.

“He’s so lucky. I should really make friends with him very soon”. Most of the other Ministers commented.

<YONGXI ARENA>

The whole Arena was more of a stadium that can accommodate millions of the people in the kingdom.

The seats were fully occupied with people hailing and chanting the names of their faves. The first phase had already began minutes ago and it was a very fierce battle between the first two teams battling, while the other teams stood by at the side of the huge field watching and picking some points.

Many girls had already been eliminated and many of their supporters were cursing angrily as the refree told them to exit the field.

The fight continued till they were down to the first six teams since they started the contest from the last teams.

So Team A – F were the only ones remaining to compete with each other.

Mina stood with a strong face ready to eliminate anyone in her way. Jade was already permanently one of the Emperor’s woman. So she herself must act quick and get qualified for the next round also.

“Now the next team to come up are, Team E and F!!”. The announcer announced with his thunderous loud voice and that was when the Emperor who had been abdent all through arrived and everyone stood up immediately ready to greet him but a wave of his hand and they happily sat back down.

While he arrogantly walked to his high seat amongst the Battle general and minister of war. The other Ministers sat together also inwardly rooting for theor daughters while few where hell bent on seeking favour with Minister Wang who maintained a blank expression.

The Emperor and the Ministers didn’t dress grandly as they normally do but instead wore battle fits that made their biceps bulge out of their silk clothes.

“Your cloth is a little stained your majesty. Is that porriage?”. The general asked trying to touch the Emperor’s clothes, when the Emperor sat right next to him and the Emperor snapped his hand off.

“It’s dirt. Not porridge”. The Emperor lied and the general smiled.

“I forgot how consistant you are in your daily trainings. Your late father was so proud of you then that he….

“Walk away if you’re tired of the contest”. The Emperor cut him off his gaze fixed on the field and all the remaining contestants became super zealous to win not wanting to disappoint him.

“Your Nazia is in Grade F, Mistress Yeri is that the knowledge you keep boasting of giving them?”. Lady Wang smirked, watching the ongoing contest and Mistress Yeri smiled.

“Mistress Gora’s daughter Cherry seems to be in the same Grade F also”. Mistress Yeri said and Mistress Gora scoffed.

“At least she’s recognized as the leader of the team”. Mistress Gora replied and Mistress Yeri rolled eyes at her.

“Just glad my only daughter Bae made me proud by being the ace of Team D. She’s highly underated…

The rest of Mistress Soni’s words were hooked in her throat when Nazia along with some girls in her team got eliminated and in surprise Mistress Yeri stood up with widened eyes while the other mistresses smiled secretly.

“Seems your only hope is Asa now Mistress Yeri”. Lady Wang muttered pretending to be pitiful and Mistress Yeri sat back down her fist tight as they urshered Nazia who was now in tears of loosing out of the field to get her wounds treated.

The battle between the two teams soon ended.

“My Cherry made it to the next round!!”. Mistress Gora screamed standing up on her seat and many people cheered her while Minister Wang only sighed watching her from where he sat.

“Team C and Team D!! Your turn!!”. The announcer called and everyone cheered loudly since most of their kids were amongst.

The two teams entered the field facing each other ferociously.

“Cover me up at any chance you get and I promise we’ll end up as the winner!!”. Bae screamed at her teammates who took their stance behind her since she was the leader, they didn’t like what she said but no one dared question her.

“Act smart, not fast, everyone for each other!”. Asa said not to loud but her angelic voice was enough to command comprehension from the audience and her teammates nodded in affirmation while Kai scoffed from where he sat with the Emperor.

“So much confident. Act smart not fast”. Kai scoffed mimicking her voice and the Emperor turned to face him with a raised eyebrow, before facing his front.

“This is going to be like a battle bewteen Mistress Yeri and Soni, the two foreigners amongst us”. Lady Wang said and the referred ladies rolled eyes at her.

“And let the battle of three strikes begin!!”. The announcer yelled and immediately the girls picked themselves one on one and began fighting like their hearts depending on it.

With Bae team having terrible teamwork and more focused on shielding Bae from attacks, Asa’s team eliminated most of them together with only few of them getting eliminated by Bae’s team.

Soon Team Bae began dwindling till they were down to five against twenty and with another round of fight only Bae remained while Asa’s team remained just ten.

“Seems Bae’s the only legend in her team”. Lady Wang mocked and Mistress Soni stood up enraged at her.

“Just cause you’re the wife and we’re the mistresses doesn’t mean you keep disrespecting us!! You’re very irritating!!”. Mistress Soni yelled and Lady Wang instead of getting up to reply watched the show while Mistress Soni kept glaring at her.

Then immediately Lady Wang stood in victory cheering loudly.

“That’s my step daughter!!! Asa is the ace!! She’s Acesa!!”. Lady Wang cheered to annoy Mistress Soni who was still wandering how her Bae got overthrowed.

Bae had actually opted for a one on one battle with Asa since she was the only one left in her team. Thinking she would win with some little tricks she picked up sand from the ground throwing it at Asa who pretended to have had the sand in her eyes, then when Bae smirked rushing towards her Asa swiftly slashed her thrice with her sword on the same spot in her right arm and immediately the refree called her out.

“No way!! No way!! It’s foul play!! I want a rematch!! The Emperor’s mine!!”. Bae screamed on the field and the Emperor frowned from his spot.

“Whose the smart one?”. Emperor Damien asked.

“Asa. Minister Wang’s fourth daughter”. Kai replied in a manner that shows he detested giving infos about her.

“She’s a Wang? No one she plays dirty like the Witch who stained my robes”. Emperor Damien gritted beneath his teeth Kai pulled closer.

“You know the physician already treated her. You can go see her if you…

“Who sent you to call a physician for her?!”. The Emperor snapoed gaining few glances and Kai bowed before sitting back down.

“You have a lot to explain”. The Emperor whispered to Kai who only bowed, which angered the Emperor more.

“It’s you who played dirty! Just go home and cry to your mummy!!”. Lady Ling Hani’s mother snapped from where she sat and immediately her friends and lots of people supported her as Bae in hard tears ran out of the arena after pushing the refree to the ground. Mistress Soni after glaring at Lady Ling then went after her daughter.

“Team A and Team B! You’re up next!!”. The announcer called and The two teams stepped out.

“You all fools are nothing but mere standbys, i don’t care if you get eliminated just don’t make it affect me or I make you pay”. Mina thr_@tened her teammates and as most of them shivered in fright the Giselle scoffed behind her, since she was also in team B.

“Everyone for themselves but keep one thing in mind, i don’t team up with loosers so i expect nothing but the best from you all”. Hani uttered authoritatively and immediately her team nodded in affirmation.

“Now let the battle begin!!”. In no time the announcer announced Mina alsready took down five of team A members hurting them badly by almost dismembering their right arms from their body.

“Another agressive Wang sister spotted”. Kai said from behind the Emperor who only watched quietly, though for some reason half of his mind was absent from the event.

Then suddenly Mina rushed towards Hani Kicking her unknowingly from behind, she slashed Hani twice and everyone gasped in shock as she made to slash her with her sword for the last time when Hani signaled at Giselle who immediately ran to her rescue pushing Mina to the ground from behind also and Hani stood up immediately slashing Mina thrice all on the same spot leaving a huge wound and Lady Wang fainted instantly while everyone stood up in cheers to chant Hani’s name while Mina laid on the ground not moving or blinking her widened eyes and mouth a gap as Hani smirked deviously at her.

“Two can play the game, Minnie”. Hani whispered with a wink.

“I…lost?”. Mina asked herself in disbelief…
