“Are you talking back at her grace?”. Jade gasped pointing at herself and Kai instantly bowed his head.

“I deserve to be punished your grace”. Kai said his head bowed as everyone stared at them.

“Of course you would be punished come with me!”. Jade sneered angrily before walking back to her seat with the Emperor and Kai looked around in puzzlement before following her.

Jade walked to the Emperor smiling at him, he stared back at her in a confused look.

“Permit me to punish him for talking back at me your majesty”. Jade said with a smile and many scholars around began writing on their sheets quietly so as not to fall into her trap like Kai.

The Emperor first glanced at Kai who had an unreadable look on his face before nodding at Jade and immediately she stretched her hand at him.

“What do you want?’. He asked Jade.

“His punishment is with you, give it”. Jade replied her hands still stretched at the Emperor.

“What punishment? I have no such thing in my disposal”. Emperor Damien said looking around himself to confirm he really had nothing.

Then Jade moved closer to him bringing her face to his ear.

“The exam questions you set specifically for whoever you think is fit for the post of prime minister. Give it to me now, i think Kai’s the best for the post”. Jade said and the Emperor’s eyes widened as he faced her.

“How do you know about that? And I’m the one deciding whose fit for the position not you–

“Oh, so you don’t want to set my sister free and you also don’t want to help increase Kai’s status? Greedy you, you’re very greedy!”. Jade hissed in his ears before moving away from the emperor and the Emperor scoffed at her remark.

‘Greedy me? So I can’t decide on my own?’. Emperor Damien hissed in his head as he stared sharply at Jade who rolled eyes at him before facing Kai.

“I’m still waiting for my punishment”. Kai said to Jade who gave him a ‘hush’ signal, gesturing with her finger on her lips.

“He’s still thinking, don’t disturb him”. Jade whispered to Kai who blinked and then he glanced at the Emperor who was still staring sharply at Jade, while his fingers tapped softly on the desk before him, but she wasn’t looking his way, her back was turned on him as she faced Kai instead.

‘Gosh what’s she up to?’. Kai sighed in his mind as he watched the others write the exam except him.

Then finally the Emperor’s fingers tapping on the desk stopped and he got up walking to Jade who still backed him, he took her hand holding it tightly and she faced him.

“I’ll make him take the special exam but it’s not free, you’ll surely pay for it”. Emperor Damien muttered as he brought his hand to her face to tuck a loose strand of her hair behind her ear and Jade smiled pecking his cheeks and everyone present exchanged cringe expressions but dare not make any sound.

“Thank you”. Jade winked at the Emperor and patted his head.

“Don’t thank me yet”. Emperor Damien smirked at her before walking to Kai who was still lost.

“Come with me”. Emperor Damien said to Kai before leaving and everyone bowed at the Emperor and Kai’s exit before continuing their work.

“Like i said I have only three rules–

Jade made to start again as she stood boldly in front of the scholars but one of the guys raised up their hands to speak and she gave him a raised eyebrow.

“Sorry for interrupting your Grace. Earlier you said you had only three rules, but you listed four”. The scholar said and the others nodded in agreement while Jade frowned.

“I did? I remember mentioning three. Well list the four if you insist that I’m wrong”. Jade said giving the particular scholar a side eye and he stood up to list them.

“You said no talking, no sneezing, no coughing and no breathing”. He said and Jade scoffed.

“Look at you acting like the god of wisdom. You think i didn’t know what i was doing? I in-ten-ti-ona-ly wanted you all to correct me, you just fell for my trap. Who doesn’t know four comes before three”. Jade said frowning at that particular scholar, and everyone exchanged glances in shock.

“Three comes before four your grace”. The same scholar corrected and Jade threw him a glare.

“Do you want to fail?”. She thr_@tened and immediately sat back down on his seat after bowing apologetically multiple times.

“But seriously why am I this dumb in the tenth province? I wasn’t dumb in the fourth realm. I mean who doesn’t know that three comes before four? How come you’re this stupid Jade”. Jade muttered secretly at herself as she hit her head slightly at every chance she gets.

<THIRD REALMS>

“We’re here!!!”. Mistress Soni shouted happily as she ran into her brother’s medium sized house. It wasn’t as huge as their mansion back in the tenth province but it also wasn’t too small like the hut they resided in the forbidden forest.

Then a chubby short man, dressed in not so expensive clothings ran out of the house to hug his sister.

“My only little sis! I’ve missed you so much!!”. The chubby man said as he hugged Mistress Soni tightly and Mistress Soni smiled as she hugged him back.

“I brought my daughter along also! Take her as your daughter now since you’re childless!”. Mistress Soni said bluntly as she broke the hug and her brother only grinned awkwardly.

Bae also went to hug her uncle and he smiled hugging her back.

“I missed you uncle. But now that I’m here i promise you’ll never get bored, as the new and only child of this house, I’ll do all it takes to make you happy uncle then in return you’ll just get me the good things of life and also make sure I marry a very wealthy noble”. Bae said as she broke the hug and Mistress Soni smiled nodding in agreement.

“If he does that for a mere stranger then what will he use to train our unborn baby”. Dara the wife to Bae’s uncle said as she walked out of the house to stand next to her husband.

Mistress Soni’s eyes widened when she saw that Dara was heavily pregnant.

“Our baby came late but atleat it came anyway”. Mistress Soni’s brother said and Dara smiled nodding.

“And you called us strangers? Why?!”. Bae snapped at Dara who moved closer and slapped her hard across the face.

“I might look young but I’m not! I’m even way older than your mother so don’t you dare raise your voice at me!”. Dara said and Bae glanced at her mother who glanced at her brother.

“You brought us here to get insulted by your stupid wife!—-

“Brought? You were the one who wanted to come here! I remember how you neglected both i and mother the moment you got picked up from poverty by that evil minister! Mother died of starvation and i hustled on my own to get to where i was now! A night watch man Soni! I thought you h@ťěd my job and mocked my monthly payment?! What happened now? You want me to use the same monthly payment you mocked to fend for your daughter?! Why?!”. Mistress Soni’s brother said and both Bae and Mistress Soni’s eyes widened.

“If you still had all these in mind, then why did you invite us to come live with you?!”. Mistress Soni snapped loudly.

“I invited you because—-

“I needed helpers. I’m heavily pregnant and can’t complete the house chores myself, I also can’t tend to our lamb in this state, it’s our first child and I can’t stress myself, so if you feel irritated and can’t stay to serve us, just go back to the kingdom where you’re not needed anymore”. Dara said and Mistress Soni gasped loudly in shock before facing her brother.

“Servant? You want your own sister to serve your pregnant wife?!”. Mistress Soni questioned unbelievably.

“You can’t?! Then just leave Soni of what use will you be to me anyways!”. Her brother snapped and made to go in with his wife but Mistress Soni fell to the ground holding his legs.

“Just let us live you both and I promise i and my Bae will serve you both. Please”. Mistress Soni pleaded and Dara smiled at them.

“We have no guest rooms, but once you empty our store I’m sure that will be a better room for the both of you”. Dara said before walking in with her husband.

“Serve who?! Mother! Let’s just find somewhere else to stay, i can’t become a servant to that rude lady!!”. Bae shouted stomping her feet to the ground but her mother ignored her as she sighed deeply on the ground.

“How does this one look on me?”. Sindura asked Damon who sat bored on the bed in her chamber as he watched her change multiple times already.

“It’s the best!”. Damon complimented giving her a thumbs up and Sindura jumped happily.

“It’s the best? But it’s just a little outing so, I’ll go change into something moderate”. Sindura winked, then she ran back into her dressing room and Damon’s eyes widened as he stood up instantly.

“Two hours has passed. For the past two hours she still hasn’t decided what dress she would put on for the outing?! Should i just abduct her instead?”. Damon scoffed folding his arms as he fumed impatiently.

Then Sindura walked out of the dressing in a pretty light purple silk robe. It looked so beautiful on her and her long hair was braided to the side, her flawless skin shone in cohesion with her outfit and Damon eyes widened when he captured her stunning physique.

“How’s this one?”. Sindura asked twirling around but nothing came from shocked Damon.

“Should i go change again?! I should right?”. Sindura asked but when no reply came from Damon she turned to walk back to her dressing room but Damon held her arm pulling her back to him. His eyes scanned her from head to toe.

“You–look…beautiful”. Damon said and Sindura’s eyes widened.

“You just called me beautiful!!”. Sindura gasped loudly and Damon looked away avoiding her gaze, and Sindura smiled at him.

“Let’s go, since you like this dress better I’ll go with it”. Sindura said slowly taking his hand as she began walking towards the door with him but Damon suddenly stopped walking and before Sindura could stop to ask him why, he hugged her from behind and Sindura stood rooted to her stance.

“Aren’t we going out again?”. Sindura asked in a little voice and Damon made her face him. With his eyes locked with hers he brought his hand to caress her cheek softly.

“Let’s do something else”. He muttered and Sindura blinked in confusion.

“Like what?”. She asked softly and immediately Damon wrapped his hands behind her waist, pulling her closer to him he slammed his lips on hers and she kissed him back affectionately.

Damon and Sindura’s lips slapped warmly on themselves as their tongue fought for dominance. Then slowly, Damon’s hands moved from her waist and went underneath her robe, straight to her middle. The moment Sindura felt his fingers at her broke the kiss and gasped softly, Damon smiled lightly at her as he began rubbing her sensually in her virginia.

“Rest. I’ll be right back to bath you”. He whispered into her ear and surprisingly kissed her hair before walking walking out of the chamber and Sindura fell right asleep.

“I forgot to get the name of that proud thing”. Jade said to herself as she looked through the submitted sheets on the Emperor’s desk. She was currently in his library.

“You said you wanted to read, how come you’re checking the scripts?”. Emperor Damien asked from where he stood reading from a book. His back was relaxed on a shelf, he wasn’t putting on his mask and gloves also.

And Jade faced him with a smile, dropping the exam sheets back on his desk she walked to him.

“What are you reading?”. Jade asked standing beside him as her eyes peeped through the book he was reading.

“Can you read it?”. The Emperor asked facing Jade who scoffed in embarrassment.

“What do you mean by that? I can read anything! But that’s not what I’m here for. You see there’s this rude scholar who also wrote the exam, do you know his name by any chance? He sat right in front of you the whole while–

“What do you need his name for?”. Emperor Damien asked and Jade blinked at him.

“I told you he was very rude to me—

“Because he corrected you? I remember telling you to take books seriously. Now you’ve disgraced yourself in front of everyone and dare call your corrector rude? Go read Jade”. Emperor Damien waved away and Jade’s eyes widened as they followed him. He dropped the book back in its shelf and turned to walk back to his shelf but Jade blocked him.

“I can read! I just have a thing for numbers! Plus i wasn’t this dumb in the heavens! Ask about me over there, I’m the smartest!”. Jade said loudly and the Emperor nodded sarcastically, giving her an unserious look which only angered her and he scoffed pulling her cheeks before drawing her into a warm hug, with his hand stroking her hair softly.

“If you spend more time here, you’ll surely improve. You’re only smart Jurin in the fourth realm but here you’re my Jade”. The Emperor said and kissed her lips softly, but Jade quickly broke it.

“You don’t believe me right? Okay come with me”. Jade said taking the Emperor’s hand and then she led him to the always closed window, opening it the Emperor shifted back from it, with widened eyes.

“The sun’s still up Jade, what are you doing?”. Emperor Damien questioned giving her a serious look, then he turned and began searching for his mask and gloves, but Jade held his hand and dragged him back to the window.

“I’m trying to show you that I’m truly smart. You won’t get burnt, trust me”. Jade said as she struggled with the Emperor who in anger snapped her hand off him.

“You think I haven’t tried it already?!”. He snapped and Jade stopped struggling with him.

“That was before. We love each other now—

“Don’t get me started on that”. Emperor Damien cut her off before walking to where he dropped his mask and gloves and wore them on…
