(EMPEROR’S LIBRARY)

The Emperor walked into the library and the first thing his eyes caught was the reading table.

He remembered when Jade had turned it into a dining table by placing her big pots on it and eating hugely from them.

The fact that Jade never lived a happy life before her death made him more mad, everyone treated her unfairly including him. They’ll all be punished and he’ll see to that, each and every one of them must feel his wrath.

“She’ll be reincarnated—

“What?!”. The Emperor said turning to face Shenghai who just walked in.

“She has one last chance to return—

“Reincarnated?? For how long?”. The Emperor asked curiously, his gaze sharpened as he walked towards Shanghai.

“That’s for her to decide, but it’ll surely take a long period of time since it’s the tenth time she’s dying without finding a happy ending”. Shanghai said and the Emperor frowned in puzzlement.

“Tenth time?—

“Yes you ki||ed her in her fifth life, though you wouldn’t understand so don’t worry”. Shanghai said and the Emperor only got more confused.

“Just wait for a few decades or centuries, you’re supernatural after all, everyone here is, you’re all ageless so of course it’ll look like you just spent a week waiting for her ”. Shanghai said walking towards the door.

“I’m heading to the demon clan, I’ll leave the rest of your kingdom issues to you, after punishing your Queen Mother”. Shanghai said before walking out of the door, leaving the Emperor to wallow in his thoughts.

“She’ll be reincarnated? When? Is he just playing games with me?”. The Emperor muttered, his head filled with lots of questions, then he walked out of the library.

(FOURTH REALM)

“Do you know what drink it is?! It’s a ville drink! Anyone who sips from it loses every memory from his or her past life!”. The heavenly officer snapped at Jade who flinched, then she turned to stare at everyone already crying as they forcefully drank from the wine.

“If so–that means you don’t want me to lose my memory that’s why you didn’t give me a drink also?—

“Lord Shanghai ordered it! Plus you’re not to jump into the porter now, lord Shanghai wishes you wait for him here till he returns from the tenth province—

“Tenth province? That’s where I come from. Just send me there to meet him instead—

“You think you can?! You’re currently dead so just wait by the side till Shanghai comes for you!”. The heavenly officer said, pushing out of the line to the side and she fell to the ground.

“Is this how cruel you all in the heavens behave?! You’ll regret this! Do you know I live in the palace?! And the Emperor’s my master also, he’ll surely deal with you, mark my words!”. Jade sneered with a frown.

“What’s she talking about?”. One of the heavenly officers asked.

“Just let her be, she never gets tired of saying crap even before when she was all high and mighty”. The other heavenly officer controlling the second line said.

“Hope she doesn’t punish you when she ascends though”. The third one joked and the one who pushed Jade only scoffed.

“She’s lost wh@ťěver power she had to control us then, let her return back to her realm and never trouble us again, how come she keeps dying in all her lives?”. The officer who pushed Jade said sighing pathetically at Jade who was glaring back at him from the ground.

“She looks like she could tear you apart Lin!-

“Oh she dare not, she’s got no power of her own here which makes me superior”. The heavenly officer the first one was referring to replied, before going back to checking the record.

“Everyone’s just rotten”. Jade mumbled balling her fist, but she soon got scared looking around.

It looked like they were on top of the clouds or something. Everything around was a little foggy, then a huge ocean was below the cloud where they all stood.

‘If I’m here cause I’m dead, does that mean I won’t be able to see Dammy again?!”. Jade thought fearfully as looked around checking for possible ways to escape but couldn’t find any and a tear fell from her eyes.

‘I want to go back’. Jade thought as she wiped her tears while she relaxed on the floor where she sat, watching people in the same position as she get cast into the abyss.

*TENTH PROVINCE*

“According to Supreme Lord Shanghai, due to the fact that the Queen Mother who was supposed to be the mother of these whole nation broke the number rule by inviting shamanism into the tenth province, and for causing the assassination of one of the contestants, she’ll be stripped of her position and reduced to the level of a slave after getting twenty lightning strikes from the lightning chain!! The Shaman involved will be sent to death by poison!!”. The royal announcer announced and everyone who was currently on their knees gasped loudly in shock before bowing completely to the floor.

“More wisdom Supreme Ruler!!”. Everyone chorused.

“No!! Shanghai can’t do that to me!!! I’m the Queen Mother! I raised the Emperor from his toddler years! I refuse to be punished!!”. The Queen Mother screamed at the top of her voice while the Shaman only wailed on her knees.

“Commence with the punishment!!”. The Emperor ordered strictly and guards began walking to, he sat on his throne, his eyes completely red as the decree was being read. Shanghai had already left for the demon clan with the other lords.

The guards made everyone in the court free in front of the court so the Queen Mother will be able to receive her strikes.

“No!!! Even if I’m to be punished I won’t let this son of a Mistress watch me die!!! Do you all know your Emperor’s lowly?! His mother was just a mere Mistress to the late Emperor, my husband!! He might be older than my son Danxu but it changes nothing!! You all should dethrone him, no lowly born deserves the throne!!”. The Queen Mother yelled running towards the ministers.

“Minister Ling just dethrone him, my son is still alive and can lead you all perfectly! Just forsaken this imposter and soon of a low birth you call an Emperor!!”. The Queen Mother shouted glaring at the Emperor as she spoke to the ministers.

“The late Mistress Evie was never a low birth! She came from my mother’s homeland Chen Li and she was the daughter of the king over there, so of course she was a princess with more status than you, who was a mere minister’s daughter! She was just unlucky to die a Mistress even though she deserved the throne and not you!!”. Minister Zhou shouted and the Queen Mother’s eyes widened.

“You?! Aren’t you on my side?!”. Queen Mother snapped in shock.

“I’m on the lord’s side, Queen Mother!”. Minister Zhou replied bluntly and the Queen Mother’s mouth opened.

“Just learn to keep quiet please father”. Han sighed rolling eyes.

“We don’t even mind!! If he were the son of a slave, At Least he would understand us more than you selfish rich nobles!!!”. One person yelled from the crowd and the others joined him.

“When will you start with the strikes?!!”. The Emperor roared in anger and immediately the Queen Mother was dragged to the front of the court, forced on her knees the Emperor threw one the lightning chain to Kai, since no one else was strong enough to handle it.

And immediately Kai began lashing the Queen Mother hard on her back making her fall flat on her face on the ground, crying crazily, as her garment was already torn from behind, blood gushing out already. Kai continued lashing her non-stop as her crown fell to the ground and Minister Ling went to pick up the crown to give to the Emperor.

“Dispose it”. The Emperor said before Minister Ling got to him and Minister Ling nodded before walking away to dispose of it.

“Father, are we going to get punished also? Cause of your wife?!”. Cherry snapped at Minister Wang who was already shivering counting every electric strike that met the Queen Mother’s back.

“Please have mercy on us, your majesty!!”. Nazia began crying when Kai was almost done with the Queen Mother.

Asa was still seated on the ground when finally Kai was done and her heart began pounding fast.

‘My skin will obviously get destroyed with this chain?’. Asa’s eyes widened as she watched the guards drag the unconscious half dead bleeding Queen Mother out of the court.

Then the Emperor stood up from his throne, staring down at everyone.

“She’s seized from being the Queen mother of this nation!! Even your slaves at home have a higher status than her! Anyone referring to her with her formal title will be executed!!”. The Emperor warned strictly and many shivered in fright.

“Next trial!!!”. The Emperor ordered and Kai turned to face anxious Asa, she looked back at him from where she sat, not hiding her fear at all, Kai sighed before walking to stand beside the royal announcer who read the second decree.

“The Wang household!!”. The announcer began and everyone in the mentioned family began wailing slowly.

“We knew nothing of Lani being a witch, your majesty!!”. Mistress Gora said.

“Gora was the one who did black magic to make her son powerful, we had no idea!!”. Mistress Soni pleaded.

“I’m quite weak, your majesty!! I have no strength to be wiped by the lightning chain!!”. Jun, who had been quiet, pleaded and Giselle began crying slowly for him.

“Continue Reading!”. The Emperor said boldly and the cries only doubled.

“The Wang Mansion, notorious for their ruthless acts of purchasing young children as slaves and ki||ing them cause of flimsy reasons, responsible for harboring a witch for over a century, partaking in dark magic and also going as far cheating just to assume the forbidden sword and crown their eldest daughter the Queen. Each and everyone of them with no exception of age or spiritual strength will be given fifty strikes of lightning chain and then get exiled out of the kingdom immediately!! Signed the Emperor!!”. The announcer announced aggressively folding back the scroll and everyone gasped while the Wangs began crying loudly, Kai’s eyes widened in shock also, as his grip on the lightning chain tightened.

“Mother, I can’t stand just one strike!! But I’m going to take fifty?!”. Bae cried loudly.

Minister Wang only had a straight face as the other Ministers shook their heads slowly at him.

Asa tears fell slowly as her eyes were wide opened, calculating how she would survive the punishment without dying halfway.

“Start the punishment!!”. The ruthless voice came and Kai immediately faced the Emperor going on his knees.

“Start the punishment Kai”. The Emperor repeated his emotionless gaze ignoring Kai as they glared at Minister Wang who already knelt in the middle of the court ready to receive his strikes.

“Your majesty—at least-spare Asa she knew nothing—-

“Start the punishment Kai!!!!!!”. Emperor Damien shouted standing to his feet and Kai was forced to bow, his veins tightening.

“As you command your majesty”. Kai muttered hating his words instantly as he walked to the middle of the court, seeing the unbothered look on Minister Wang’s face he clutched his chain tight and in anger he used all the power in his body to strike Minister Wang who immediately fell to the ground vomiting out blood.

Kai struck him again, and again and didn’t even give him any breathing space till he got to twenty and Minister Wang ended up half dead, lying on the floor, his eyes wide open but his body and mouth were just bleeding.

“Next!!!”. The royal announcer shouted and Mina stood up slowly acting like she was going to kneel at the middle of the court to receive her own strikes, she turned to the exit and began running out, her legs moving faster than she ever thought, but Kai shocked her by using the very long chain to strike her from where he stood and it met her back. As a result of the sudden strike her back hair was ripped off becoming bald, the back of her robe torn because the chain met her there also and immediately her P@ŋtîēṣ became visible for the whole cut to see making everyone gasp out in shock.

“Ha!! My back!! My hair!!”. Mina screamed dancing on the floor as she tried feeling her back but it only hurt more and she screamed more.

“Get on your knees”. Kai instructed his voice low and merciless, but Mina shook head at him.

“No! No please, I did Nothing!! I was only following my mother’s words!! I can’t get striked!!”. Mina pleaded tearfully but instead she looked funny cause of how bald the back of her hair was, Kai ignored her pleas as he struck her according to what he was commanded and her screams filled the entire court, the other sisters and mistresses got their own shares of the strikes and Nazia, Sana and Mistress Gora died in the process.

Asa shivered as she watched Jun go on his knees, it was his turn but the moment the chain met his back he died there and there without wasting much time.

“Next!!”. The Emperor’s voice came and Asa knew it was her turn since she was the only one remaining.

Kai looked away from her, avoiding her gaze, as she slowly crawled to where she would kneel.

Finally kneeling in front of him and balling her fists tightly to take in the pain, she couldn’t stop herself from crying slowly and Kai couldn’t bring himself to start strucking her, instead he turned his back on her facing the Emperor as he stared pleadingly at him, many began feeling pity for her also.

“What’s she doing? That’s emotional blackmailing!!”. Minister Zhuo spat and Giselle threw him a glare, though she was never close with Asa, she never h@ťěd her also, Asa was one to get jealous of instead of hating her.

Hani only blinked once all through as watched the whole thing calculating in her head.

‘The one the Emperor seems to like is dead, Mina will be exiled so is smart Asa. Does that mean I have a chance now?!’. Hani gasped in her head, then slowly she began smirking.

“Doing nothing really pays off”. Hani muttered.

“What are you waiting for? You can’t do it?!”. The Emperor asked standing to his feet as he walked to Kai, then stretched his palms at him.

“I’ll finish up what you started”. The Emperor said his gaze stern, but seeing the hesitancy in Kai he snatched it from him instead.

But immediately everyone bowed their heads to the floor.

“Please spare lady Asa your majesty!!!!”. They all chorused loudly as Asa was also taken aback that everyone was pleading for her. Her teary eyes staring shockingly at everyone bowing their heads, but the pleas only angered the Emperor more.

‘They all celebrated Jade’s death, but dare beg for her?’. The Emperor’s gaze darkened, then immediately he raised up the chain at Asa, and everyone’s eyes widened, including Kai…
