“No!! It’s foul!! She deserves to be eliminated! She shot the arrows before giving permission to do so!! She deserves to be out! She didn’t follow the rules!”. Mina suddenly found her voice yelling out loud.

“Yes! Call her out, everyone can see she acted without listening to the last word!!”. Hani added.

“We see this as being unfair to the other contestants! Just-b-because she’s close with the Emperor doesn’t give her the permission to overlook rules”. Maya added her bow and arrow clutched tight in her hand, as she was still angry thinking of how she would hunt with sticks and stones.

Everyone was lost muttering amongst themselves, Kai glanced at the Emperor expecting him to say something but he didn’t, as he had a straight face.

“What’s seriously keeping you from calling her out?! Chase her out of the field so our daughters don’t get cheated! After all she’s a mistress in the palace already, so she still remains in the palace!!”. One of the ladies from the audience shouted and many shouted in agreement.

Mistress Yeri, analyzing the situation, stood up from her seat.

“Plus, shouldn’t powers like hers be banned in this kingdom? Having spiritual energy almost the same as the Emperor?! No one even knows what she is?! And once we conclude she’s a witch she gets mad! Gosh, she shouldn’t have participated in the first place”. Mistress Yeri said and Jade only frowned at what she said.

“The first time we let commoners participate and they have to cheat their way in”. Minister Zhuo said from beside Han, who rolled eyes at him.

“But she’s not a commoner she’s Wang last daughter, that’s what you get for having so many women and also cheating with a slave”. Minister Ling hissed beside his wife who chuckled.

“Aren’t you going to do anything?”. Kai asked slowly from behind the Emperor.

“If you didn’t want her winning then why give her your bow and cause all this trouble in the first place?”. Kai added but the Emperor still had a straight look on.

“I did that cause everyone was making a mockery of her”. The Emperor replied.

“But they’re currently making a fool of her now…

“I know and its leading to her disqualification”. Emperor Damien replied making Kai sigh and then he minded his business.

The Emperor’s gaze were still on the field when Jade turned and her eyes met his. She had the look of someone who needed help.

“Does he really want them to kick me out of the contest? How come he’s being quiet?”. Jade muttered turning her back on the Emperor facing the awful glares of the crowd.

The Queen Mother sat smirking at the situation, as the announcer took up his huge wooden mega phone.

The announcer glanced at the Emperor for any considerations if he had anything to say, but seeing the Emperor ignore him and drank from the tea right in front of him, the announcer took his wooden Mega phone closer to his mouth.

“Because of the violation of rules, I’m sorry to announce that Lady Jade Wang will be disqualified—

“No she won’t”. A voice cut throw the announcer’s voice and everyone turned to the Queen Mother’s direction, as she stood up elegantly from her seat to address the crowd and the Emperor glanced at her.

“The rules were straight and simple. The first to hit bullseye ten times wins, no one mentioned disqualification if you don’t follow countdown measures, we just implemented it cause of synchronization while $h00ting, but it’s not really a rule or a ritual”. The Queen Mother said and most people frowned at her statement especially Lady Wang, even Jade’s eyes widened.

‘Does she thinks she has the power to decide this? Someone put this peaÇ0çƙ in her place!’. Lady Wang snapped in her head as she glared at the ministers.

“I thought she didn’t like the little witch”. Minister Zhou scoffed before turning to Giselle who sat at his other side, she was lost staring at Jun who was sleeping, with his head on his mother’s shoulder.

“Don’t you ever think of moving with that weak thing. He hardly comes to the arena to watch the contest but now that he’s here he’s sleeping? Wang wouldn’t stop braging about his son’s powers, but all i see is an empty vessel!”. Minister Zhou spat and Giselle only nodded slowly looking away from Jun.

‘He calls my Jun weak, like he’s got a meaningful amount of energy in his system’. Giselle rolled eyes as she faced the field.

‘Is the Queen Mother doing this cause I refused visiting her since she was under house arrest?”. Mina thought in annoyance.

“Let her compete like the others, and yes as the first to complete this round”. The Queen Mother finally announced with a smile in her face, as the Emperor sharp gaze on her turned into a glare, seeing it she smiled back at him.

“I’m sure even the Emperor would agree to this”. The Queen Mother said and immediately sat back down why many mumbled loudly.

“Lady Jade still remains in the contest and can proceed to the next round!!”. The announcer said and only a few people cheered.

Jade smiled triumphantly, as she turned again to glance at the Emperor and Kai who only had straight faces, and her smile faded as she faced her front.

“Now the rest of the contestants position their weapons”. The announcer said and the girls did as told, heavy frowns on their faces only Asa had her face straight and focused on her target.

“On the count of three you fire—-

The announcer wasn’t done when Mina began $h00ting sharply and Hani instantly followed $h00ting in rage, then Asa and the other contestants followed and everyone in the crowd began cheering loudly for them. Jade just stood by the side watching them, wondering why they were putting all their energy on every shot they take.

“You have plans? Why plead on her behalf?”. Danxu said from behind the Queen Mother, his voice muffled cause of the clothe he used in covering his face.

“You’ll find out soon”. The Queen Mother replied, enjoying the game.

“Did you assign that guard to her?”. Emperor Damien asked staring imminently at Danxu who dodged every of his stares.

“I didn’t assign anyone to her, i only reduced her helpers as you ordered”. Kai replied also trying to see through Danxu mask but it was covered very well.

The Emperor secretly sent a low wind towards Danxu, he turned with his back facing the Emperor, making it unable for the Emperor’s wind to take off his mask.

“Find out who he his”. The Emperor said to Kai who nodded and made to leave.

“Not now, kwep a close eye on him for now”. Emperor Damien said and Kai nodded.

Soon Mina was done $h00ting 13 bullesyes, cause she shot two arrows at once on few occasions.

“That’s the Wang’s eldest daughter doing wonders for her family!!”. The announcer said and everyone cheered for Mina while Bae only rolled eyes.

Hani and Asa finished at the same time, and the whole crowd cheered loudly.

“Wow!! Hani gave us 15 good strikes!!!”. The announcer said and everyone clapped loudly.

“While Asa Wang gave us twenty good arrows stuck to her postal!! Seems she’s the Queen of $h00ting two arrows at once!”. The announcer gasped as the otger contestants kept playing.

Everyone continued talking and Asa walked to stand beside Jade, Hani and Mina stood together a little further from where Jade stood, as they wouldn’t stop giving her uncomfortable glares.

“You were amazing. You’re a phoenix right?”. Asa asked Jade who didn’t reply her and Mina scoffed.

“Phoenix? Have you seen a pheonix without wings? Don’t let the dark magic she performs for us all get to your head Asa”. Mina said and Jade only focused on the game, not paying attention to them.

“Hey! What’s with the ignorance?! You think if it wasn’t for this competition you wouldn’t have been my special hand maid!”. Mina suddenly snapped and when all eyes went to them she balled her fist and kept quiet, then crowd focused on the game again.

“If you’re thr_@tened, train better and stop seeking for attention, not everyone’s here to joke Mina”. Asa said and when Mina scoffed making to reply her..

“You have a lot of time to reply her? Wow, i need you to sell me some cause i feel so unavailable for mad people right now”. Jade suddenly said to Asa who chuckled.

“That’s it Mina! Stop embarrassing us!!”. Hani snapped at Mina pulling her back as threw Jade an angry look.

NEXT DAY
(ASURA CLAN)

Damon walked majestically into the palace, going up through the stony stairs with his usual aura of arrogance.

He walked into the grand hall seeing the whole Asura army already assembled and up to a million or more in the huge big hall, he walked through their middle approaching Sindara who smirked at him.

“I’ve been expecting you? But never thought you would come alone”. Sindara said and Damon smiled back, his handsome face giving her the chills.

“I originally wanted to come here with my remaining army that survived your attack, but why bring an army when I can just take yours’ ‘. Damon said and Sindara’s smile faded.

“What do you mean by that?”. Sindara asked and immediately Damon brought out the silver medallion and her eyes widened.

“That belongs to my late father!! How did you get it?!”. Sindara gasped stuttering at the same time and Damon smirked.

“I told you, your bronze medallion would be useless, mine is more powerful now. But then speaking of the bronze medallion, where is it? Please show us all”. Damon smirked at her climbing up the short stairs to the throne and Sindara instantly stood up fearfully as she tried to suppress it with laughter.

“We–are Asuras and family and clan comes first we don’t need a medallion to operate”. Sindara said expecting the army’s to support her but they were all quiet, and fear gripped her when Damon pushed her from the throne and stood beside it.

“Of course family comes first, and that’s your sister should be here not you, I mean it’s her medallion I’m currently holding, so she deserves the throne don’t you think?”. Damon asked Sindara who chuckled.

“Sindura dead! What the hell are you speaking off?!”. Sindara snapped and Damon used his powers to sweep her off her feet making her land on her stomach on the ground and she coughed out blood.

“Learn to keep your voice in check when you speak to me”. Damon warned and then faced the army.

“Of course you’ll all follow my orders now that I have the medallion, and failure to do so means death! Now go on your knees and acknowledge me as the supreme ruler of your clan!!”. Damon said loudly and immediately all the Asuras went on their knees bowing completely.

“Welcome supreme ruler!! We wish you a great rule!!”. The Army shouted and Sindara stood up in rage while Damon smirked.

“You’re all despicable!! My father would be so disappointed in you all!! Merging forces with the same demon that treated us badly?! You all are a big disgrace to our ancestors!!”. Sindara kept on ranting and Damon grinned nodding at every word that came out of her mouth.

‘Being mouthy sure runs in the family’. Damon scoffed as Sindara wouldn’t stop raining curses on her father’s army.

<PALACE ARENA>

“We have only 35 girls remaining who passed the first round!”. The loud voice boomed and everyone applauded the girls.

“Our next round is the hunt game, You’re all given 2hrs to hunt in the forbidden forest….

The announcer wasn’t done when everyone gasped.

👥 They’ll be hunting wild beasts instead of deer’s?

👥 But the forbidden forest is the worst for even wild animals.

“You girls have only two hours to hunt down a demon and—-

Maya and Cara fainted at the spot when their bow and arrows were seized and they were given sticks and stones.

Jade’s eyes bulged out of her sockets as she exchanged glances with Asa, even Mina and Hani looked completely shocked also.

“This never happened in the past competitions?”. Hani mumbled and glanced at the Emperor whose eyes were on confused Jade.

“Demons your majesty? You think she’ll back down after hearing this?”. Kai asked in shock.

“Their spiritual powers will increase after ki||ing a demon, thus increase their chances of winning, plus-she won’t be participating”. Emperor Damien replied his gaze fixed on Jade.

“Why won’t she?–

“That’s your duty, see to it”. Emperor Damien cut Kai off as he stood up and began leaving, with many stares following him.

“After ki||ing the demon, you’ll meet us all at the place were the Emperor’s sword is stuck and try your luck with it”. The announcer finished and Jade’s eyes widened.

“Huh? We’re removing the sword today?”. Jade gasped in shock and Asa faced her.

“You didn’t know? Everyone’s ready for that, but the demon part caught us all unaware”. Asa said and Jade turned to frown at Kai from where he stood.

“Now match to the forbidden forest to hunt your games—

“The Emperor wants them to teleport there instead”. Kai cut the announcer who nodded.

“Teleport to your hunt ground!!”. The announcer said loudly and immediately Mina cackled at Jade.

“See you at the finish line”. Mina said to Jade who still stood dazed as everyone began teleporting.

“I can’t do that”. Jade mumbled watching everyone take turns to disappear.

Then Asa suddenly took her palms and she faced her.

“We’ll part ways once we get to the forbidden forest, as we’re rivals”. Asa said and Jade nodded, then Asa teleported and met themselves in the forbidden forest before Kai could stop anything.

“Be careful”. Asa said to Jade once they were in the forbidden forest before disappearing again.

“Your turn to make a move”. The Queen Mother said to Danxu and he immediately disappeared also.

Kai seeing that frowned as he also disappeared and met himself in the forbidden forest but no sign of Danxu anywhere.

“He really doesn’t want me to become the Empress. I’m I that bad for him? Then he should take on so many mistresses once i become the Empress, i need to clear my name from the book of lowlifes in this horrible kingdom”. Jade said as she began walking slowly searching around for demons. Her bow and arrow in her hand.

She walked round the forest for an hour, with no demon in sight, Then a sharp breeze blew from behind running very fast and Jade turned to see it was a demon with the head of an horrible beast, that was running towards her.

Jade raised up her bow and arrow at it, $h00ting it right in the on the forehead and immediately the head caught on fire, followed by the body then immediately it exploded into ashes and smiled cutting a piece of her robe to store some of the ashes of the beast as evidence of her win.

“It isn’t two hours yet, but I’m done!!”. Jade squealed as she looked around and then began walking to where the sword was everyone of the audience would probably be present but she’ll be the first contestants.

Jade was still walking when she felt a strange energy following her from behind, she blinked multiple times as she turned to see who it was but no one was there and she gulped down nothing turning to continue her journey of returning to where everyone was waiting.

She was still walking when a dark sharp sword sliced her left arm and she was sent to the ground with a bleeding arm and her bow and arrow fell off her hand.

She looked up at her attacker only to see it was a tall figure with, controlling dark powers as he approached her from where she sat on the floor, Jade began shifting back, she swiftly made to pick up her bow and arrow but a strong gtip from Danxu’s dark magic held her neck tight, glaring at her meanly.

“You dare come from nowhere to break the curse? I’ll put an end to you”. Danxu smirked as he strangled Jade more.

“Who-are-y-you? Please leave me alone”. Jade stuttered as she choked, but Danxu only scoffed, as his mask came loose and Jade saw his face her eyes widened.

“Your–majesty?”. Jade called.

“Soon-to be-king, jinx”. Danxu spat harshly and Jade’s teary eyes became clouded with confusion.

Meanwhile at the palace the Emperor was going through some scrolls when his breath suddenly began seizing and he held his neck.

“Kai let her go?”. The Emperor mumbled and his eyes widened when it only became more unbearable and, tears began pouring down his eyes, he stood up instantly noticing that.

“She’s in danger”. He muttered before disappearing.

Then used his other hand to raise up his dark poisonous.

“The curse has been going on for years, you have no right to free anybody!!!!”. Danxu yelled aiming his sword to cut off Jade’s head but her eyes began changing colors and Danxu immediately used his sword to hit her head hard, multiple times before throwing her to the ground where her body laid unconscious on the ground, blood oozing out of it.

“I’ve been through that darn eye changing in the hands of Damien, I’m not going to fall for it anymore”. Danxu smirked at Jade’s unconscious body and immediately he shoved his sharp sword deep into her chest and she began bleeding from there.

He made to stab her again till she disappears to the underworld but that was when Kai came running shouting the top of his voice and Danxu cursed in anger before disappearing.

SWORD LOCATION>>

Everyone in the kingdom stood watching with keen interest as the girls began taking out the sword, out of the 45 that were sent to hunt for demons only twenty two returned, an the missing ones parents went in search of them, together with some palace guards.

“And lady Hani looses the chance to become the next Empress!!”. The anouncer said loudly and Hani fell striaght to the ground in shock, her eyes widened as tears began falling madly from it.

Everyone gasped ij shock, Mina on the other hand was intense holding the container her mother had given her, tightly as she fidgeted with nervousness.

“Next person that wishes to free our Emperor from the long time curse”. The announcer said and immediately Asa made to step forward but Mina bit her to it running striaght to the sword, everyone became quiet in anxiouness together with her family members.

“Lady Mina Wang wishes to try out her luck!”. The announcer said and Mina stepped more closer to the sword, secretly she opened the container hee mother gave her, and poured all the shiny red and golden content on the sword, immediately the sword began reacting, it was still stuck to the rock but the colour turned from dark silver to a shiny sword, and everyone gasped.

Everyone gasped as they watched what was going on, Asa and the rest of the contestants couldn’t believe their eyes also, then suddenly Lady Wang gave Mina a go signal and instantly she placed her hand on the sword, then pulled it out of the rock hoping to fuse energy into it but the sword came out with soo much ease shocking her herself, as her eyes widened while everyone jubilated in happiness.

“Jade’s–she’s really the chosen one?”. Mina mumbled with widened as she fell to the ground in shock, while everyone chanted her name happily. A tear fell off Asa’s eyes as she left the scene.

The Emperor immediately appeared, he held his heart tight, blood forming his chest as he searched around for Jade but everyone seemed to be celebrating. He would have arrived faster, but the sudden stab in his chest made him slow as the poison from the sword used to stab Jade began spreading drastically.

“Our Emperor’s free now!!!”.The annohncer said and everyone including Lady Wang began shouting happily, the ministers only stood in shock, with widened eyes.

“All hail Empress Mina!!”. Lady Wang suddenly shouted and the rest of the family rolled eyes at her.

“All hail!!”. Everyone responded

The Emperor’s gaze soon caught the sword that laid on the ground beside shocked Mina and his eyes widened as he staggered closer but then stopped turning to scan the joyous crowd again.

“Where’s Jade?”. He asked his voice weak cause of the pain he was facing, and evryone stopped jumping around to face him.

“What did you say your majesty?–
Minister Zhou made to ask.

“Where in the tenth Province is Jade?!!!”. Emperor Damien roared loudly causing an earthquake and everyone loudly fell to the ground, screaming in horror…
