👑 EXAM CANCELED 👑

Everyone continued pleading shouting continuously and the Emperor held his sword tight and began walking out of the inn making Jade’s eyes to widen as she ran after him.

“What?! You can go out there it’s dangerous”. Jade said holding the tip of the Emperor’s sleeve and he turned to face her.

“Stay back and don’t come out”. He said but Jade quickly shook her head and Damon scoffed.

“Just go suppress the Asuras and don’t waste our time here Damien!”. Damon said and Sindura frowned at him, while the Emperor threw him a sharp glare, but Jade still held his cloth.

“No i want to come with you…

“Jade listen and don’t come out”. The Emperor said more sternly this time around and Jade left him sadly walking to sit down on a table in the joint and the Emperor’s eyes followed her till she was fully sitted and he walked out of the inn but Jade instantly stood up running to the window to watch what was going on outside, her eyes filled with worry and concern.

The inn manager and everyone else present in the inn ran to watch also.

They saw the Emperor’s phoenix wings fully push out spreading marvelously and super bright with its gold and red color.

Their eyes widened instantly exchanging glances.

“That’s–the Emperor!!! In my inn! I told you all! Even Shenghai spent the night here few weeks back!! Now you know i wasn’t drunk!!”. The inn manager screamed at evryone else who watched in awe, while few rolled eyes at.

His sword completely lit brightly in his grip as he flew up into the sky using his sword to cause a huge storm that brought fought rain to quench the fire burning everyone to death, then he landed back on earth and began slaying each and every of the Asuras but it was a very tough fit to slay an Asura even though he had the upper hand.

Sindura glanced at Damon giving him a questionable look and he faced her.

“Do you need anything?…

“Aren’t you powerful also? You want the Emperor to do all the work himself?!”. She snapped at Damon whose eyes widened as he moved.

“Did–you just raise your voice at me? Are you forgetting we demons have nothing to do with this goody heads, let them fight their battle it’s none of our business…

Damon wasn’t done talking when Sindura slapped him hard across his face and everyone turned to face them with shocked looks on their faces.

Jade’s gaze couldn’t leave the window as she stared at the Emperor all through.

“Who are the us? I’m not a demon like you!!”. Sindura snapped and Damon’s eyes burned with anger as he gripped her arm tight pulling her closer, and her chest met with his.

“How dare you slap me!”. Damon growled his red eyes glaring daggers at her clean gray eyeballs, his fingers sunked deep into her soft skin and Sindura’s eyes widened fear gripping her entire bone as she struggled for her release.

“Leave me alone. It was a mistake”. Sindura muttered her voice frail and scattered, but Damon’s glare on her only worsened as his fingers sunked deeper making her blood spill out of the particular place he held her.

“Ahh!!”. Sindura cried out in pain and that was when Jade turned to face them, while everyone gasped loudly as they went to hide thinking Damon would ki|| them if he was done with her.

“Why do you stare at me like that? You don’t know me? Or you’re just pretending? Tell Sindura what’s wrong with your eyes?!”. Damon snapped loudly and Sindura flinched in fright.

“I–don’t know what you’re talking about. Please just leave me alone–i won’t dare slap you again”. Sindura stuttered fearfully but Damon only scoffed not buying any of it, as he made he made to grip her neck when Jade came between them.

“Leave her alone!!”. Jade snapped and Damon grinned before gripping her neck tight and she began choking, while Sindura and everyone else’s eyes widened.

“You don’t even mind your business? This was exactly what you did to me last time remember? You think cause you have a shaky power you’re above everyone else?! I’ll show you who exactly is the boss here”. Damon smirked throwing Jade across the place and she hit her back on a long wooden table before landing on the ground.

“You’ll be a thr_@t if Damien doesn’t hands you over to me. I’ll just end everything now that he’s not here to save you”. Damon muttered bringing out his sword and rushing to attack Jade who immediately looked away in fear.

“Stop if you want this back!!”. Sindura suddenly yelled from behind and Damon turned to face her only to see the medallion he collected from Sindara with her and his eyes widened checking his inner robe for the bronze medallion but it was no where to be found. Sindura must have taken it when he was strangling her and Damon chuckled walking slowly to Sindura who starggered backwards.

“I’ve left her. So just be the good girl you’ve always been and give it back”. Damon said a creepy smile playing on his face as he streched forth his right hand, while he moved closer to Sindura who still moved backward, trying to hide her trembling features.

“Sindu what’s holding you back. Give it to me”. Damon said and Sindura made to give it when..

“No! Don’t!”. Jade shouted getting and limping to them.

“I think you have the potential to stop the war. Go out and show the army the medallion they’ll surely listen to you and retreat”. Jade said making Sindura blink in confusion.

“You like getting on my nerves don’t you?!”. Damon snapped approaching Jade but she ran to hide behind Sindura.

“Go now, before the Emperor gets injured badly!”. Jade said to Sindura pushing her outside and Damon made a dark energy in his hands before making to send it at them but before it could get to them, the Asuras threw another fireball at the inn this time and everyone fell to the ground as the place shook.

They had been fighting with the Emperor but seeing how easily he ki||ed the others they left him to continue their mission of reducing the number of people in the kingdom.

The Asura army drenched from the imperial rain that burnt half of their skin, shouted powerfully as they charged into the burning inn to ki|| it’s occupant but a strong sweep from the Emperor’s sword sent them all into their own fire and the Emperor used his own pheonix fire to burn them also, as their bodies evaporated into thin air.

“Long live the Emperor!!!”. Someone suddenly shouted coming out of his hiding place.

“Long Live!!!”. Many more voices chorused as they rushed out of their various hiding place with their loved ones.

“Long Live the great Emperor Damien Cheng!!”. Another voice boomed from the people, raising up his right hand in appraisal

“Long live!!”. Everyone else shouted copying his demo.

As they continued shouting prayers to the Emperor, his sharp dark eyes through his mask searched around for more Asuras and seeing there none he faced the burning, but remembering something his eyes widened as he ran into the inn, drenched from the rain he used his powers to collect a huge blurb of water from the rain falling outside and then made it rain inside the inn to stop the fire and it really did, as he began searching around for any survivors.

“Jad–Jade!!”. The Emperor called loudly kicking out every burnt log out of the way as he used a strong breeze to get rid of the smoke, since the rain had already stopped.

“Jade!!!”. He shouted again walking deeper into the completely damaged in and suddenly Sindura ran to him, hugging tightly as she cried her tears wetting his robe as he looked down at her.

“Please–save me”. Sindura muttered looking up at him, her hands wrapped around the Emperor’s waist, and his gaze on her darkened.

“Damien!!!”. Damon’s loud voice sounded right before him and he looked up to see Jade in his hold, his strong fingers piercing deep into her shoulder as dark word relaxed dangerously on her neck and the Emperor’s eyes widened as he released Sindura’s hand from his waist and she stood behind him.

“I saved your people for you! That fireball was very huge but don’t worry everyone’s safe in here”. Damon said in his usual creepy smile and the inn manager and everyone standing behind him ran to stay behind the Emperor.

“But you want to know who won’t leave here safely? This little daring thing right here”. Damon smirked placing his nose on Jade’s neck to sniff her scent which only angered the Emperor as he threw a strong white force at Damon who bent backwards together with Jade to dodge it but the sword on Jade’s neck only pierced her skin more.

“Ahh!!”. Jade screamed out as she stood upright with Damon her tears falling, and neck bleeding.

“Damon!!”. The Emperor shouted loudly as his neck also burned with pain. Damon’s sword was a very sharp thing that even the slightest contact, could cause enough damage and the dark aura around it was also very vernomous.

The Emperor couldn’t help but imagine the pain Jade was currently in.

“It’s simple!! Just send my bride over and I’ll let little phoenix go”. Damon said his words vivid and clear, as he made more contact with Jade’s shoulder his fingers now making her shoulder bleeding.

“That’s a lie! He has no plans of releasing me! He’ll ki|| her too!! He only wants the Metal–Medi–Meca–liliom!!”. Jade screamed after struggling with the word and Damon removed his hand from her shoulder to her neck.

“Just shut up. You can’t even pronounce the word properly!!”. Damon snapped tightening his grip on Jade’s neck and the Emperor could his breath seizing also but he forced himself to hide it, if Damon ever found out that would be the end for the whole tenth province.

“What do you say? Send Sindura over and I’ll give you your little phoenix”. Damon said and Sindura shook her head at Damien.

“I don’t want to go to him! He’s very evil!!”. She said her eyes completely teary but the Emperor ignored her and faced everyone watching him from behind, even the ones that were singing his praises some minutes back all stood watching with worry and keen interest.

“Disperse”. The Emperor’s voice came in a deep hush tone and immediately everyone bowed before running their separate ways.

“My inn–is now a battle ground for spiritual lords”. The inn manager mumbled as hot tears streamed down his eyes, but one out of the crowd came back to take him along with them.

“What are you waiting for? Is it too hard to my bride back?! Or you fancy her also!!?”. Damon growled, burning in rage at the mere thought of Damien having feelings for Sindura.

“Let Jade go first”. The Emperor instructed and Damon broke into laughter.

“Like I’m that stupid”. He laughed and Emperor wielded his sword.

“Then i guess this has to end in violence”. He muttered raising up his sword and Damon smirked.

“You want to fight me?! Stupid! I’m ki||ing her–What? Damien!!!”. Damon shouted when he saw the Emperor’s sword resting harshly on Sindura’s neck as he stood relaxed behind her, Jade’s eyes also widened.

“Do the counting let’s ki|| them at the same time”. Emperor Damien said.

“You won’t try that!! Release her now!”. Damon yelled and the Emperor smirked taking the medallion from Sindura and throwing it to the floor beside Damon.

“You have it now. So she’s useless to you and i can ki|| her”. The Emperor said raising up his sword to slay Sindura.

“You devil!!!”. Damon shouted letting go of Jade as he pushed her, then ran to stop the Emperor who immediately let go of Sindura, super speeding to Jade he caught her before she could fall and Jade quickly hugged him, but broke the hug and immediately ran to pick up the medallion to give the Emperor, who took it from her and pocketed it.

“You haven’t heard the last of me Damien!!! I’ll surely be back, with a bigger army and a more powerful medallion!!”. Damon snapped angrily holding Sindura tight as she struggled in his grip.

“Till then”. The Emperor replied and Damon threw him a glare before disappearing darkly with Sindura.

And the Emperor’s gaze shifted to Jade bleeding neck, as he moved closer to her, caressing it softly and Jade raised up her head a little so he could have more access.

Emperor Damien’s gaze was fixed on the bleeding neck as he caressed it more tenderly then unexpected and unconsciously Jade Mõ@ɲed at his touch, making the Emperor eyes move up to hers in a speed, a glint of shock in his eyes.

Jade only bit her lower lip avoiding his gaze and the Emperor aftr series of staring at her returned back to her neck, touching it slightly and then slowly the blood in the cut began drying and cleaning up till the entire cut finally disappeared like nothing ever happened and the Emperor moved to the her bleeding shoulder then healed it also and Jade smiled staring at it, before hugging him again, he only stood still not moving an inch or hugging her back, but his eyes blinked more than twice, then Jade finally broke the hug facing him.

“You shouldn’t have let him take her away”. She said and the Emperor began walking out of the place, then Jade followed him.

“She’s a demon. And deserves to be with her people. We’ll be going against the rules of the heavens if we let her reside with us”. The Emperor said and Jade scoffed.

“Just say she’ll be a huge distraction to you i get it. You’re whipped be her beauty”. Jade said walking out of the door and the Emperor stopped on his track watching her leave.

“She never gets tired of her own rubbish talks?”. He asked himself before catching up with her, but the moment he walked out of the door, he met Jade standing in front of a very huge amount of people both old and young who went on their knees the moment they saw him arrive and stand right next to confused Jade.

“Please your majesty we plead for you to retrace your latest decree!!!”. The oldest man amongst them shouted bowing completely as his forehead made contact with the ground and everyone bowed completely like him also.

“Please retrace your latest decree your majesty!!”. They whole shouted loudly pain hidden in their voices.

“We’re begging you your majesty!! Our children are too young to become slaves!!”. A lady shouted tearfully this time as she bowed completely also.

“We are begging you your majesty!!”. Everyone chorused not raising up their heads from the ground.

Jade glanced and the Emperor frowned not getting what they meant.

“What decree?”. The Emperor asked and the old man raised up his head.

“The decree about recruiting the children you were sponsoring in the acedemy as servants for the ministers”. The old man said and the Emperor’s eyes widened.

“We–know you’ve done enough for us and we’re in no position to refute your orders but our children are to young your majesty please, let us serve the ministers instead in their place!!”. A man said his head lowered.

‘I did nothing of sort–

The Emperor stopped talking when he remembered leaving everything involving the Kingdom’s affair to the Queen Mother and his gaze darkened as he tightened his fists.

‘Just one day and she went this far!’. He roared in his mind and Jade glanced at him.

“We’re returning back to the palace now right?”. She asked.

“Not too fast”. The Emperor replied walking out of the public and Jade gave everyone one last glance before going after him.

*Is that a yes to our request or an ‘I don’t care’*

*Let’s just hope for the best*

*If he could safe us from the Asuras he can likely take back his decree*

“Great! Lovely feedback! You derserve to be promoted!”. Sindara grinned loudly as the captains of the troop sent to terrorise the demon clan gave her a feedback of successfully ki||ing a thousand out of the demon Clan’s army and people.

Then the Captain of the troop sent to terrorize the tenth province arrived his head lowered in disappointment.

“Any good news?”. Sindara asked her smile still intact.

“We chose a quiet city very Far from the capital to operate but right when we were just starting–the–Emperor came out of nowhere and ki||ed all my army…

“But you survived?! Tell me someyhing i can believe you fool!! The Emperor never leaves the capital!!!”. Sindara snapped using her dark powers to raise him as it gripped his neck tightly till the active general Asura came to her.

“It’s the truth young mistress. I inspected the scene and the floor was stained with the Emperor’s imperial rain, we couldn’t even move any further for fear of stepping on the wet ground”. The active general said and Sindara in anger let go of the Soldier and began pacing thro and fro of her throne.

“Failures!! You all are just big failures! You failed my father and I’m sure he’ll be disappointed wherever in his grave right now!!”. Sindara snapped loudly and everyone of them bowed disappointedly at her.

“Leave my presence! Now!!”. Sindara snapped glaring madly amd everyone of the army disappeared from her presence.

“Why was even out of the capital?! Since when does he leaves the palace!!?”. Sindara snapped loudly roughing her hair.

NEXT MORNING…
<ROYAL PALACE>

“Let the exam begin!!”. The royal inspector announced and a huge gong was sounded loudly making all the rich young masters and even poor ones in search of greener pastures to start writing on their clean white sheets.

They all sat on the floor in the huge palace compound all in rows of fifty as the poor wrote softly not to make any tiny mistake since they couldn’t afford an ink cleaner, while the rich either wrote carelessly or didn’t bother wroting at all, some letting their smart servants roght in their place while others smiled at their empty sheets waiting for their officials to bring the answers they had earlier paid for

Han glared at the ones misbehaving during exams and then glnced at the inspectors who stood turning a blind eyes to every.

“This kingdom’s messed up”. He muttered writing something on his sheet.

“Your son might be the highest among all the young talents this year your majesty”. Minister Wei said to Minister Duo who smiled as they and other ministers watched the exam from upstairs.

“But your son Bong seems too busy to even write a thing”. Minister Cheng said standing beside Minister Zhuo, as they watched Bong who was getting a massage from his slave.

“Does he needs to?! He will still pass anyways!!”. Minister Wei joked and the other ministers broke into laughter.

Then ten inspectors with copies of the answers began sharing the answers for the Minister’s sons only and the rich ones amongst them that weren’t sons of the ministers began complaining.

*What nonsense?! Thought we were all in these together?!*

*Even when my father approached Minister Zhuo last night i can’t still get a copy of the anwers?!*

*How much for one?! I’m ready to pay any amount!!*

They chattered and some even bought their copy till everything was distributed and the inspectors went back to their posts.

“Good luck!!”. The royal inspector shouted but the guys were too filled with copying and pasting that they didn’t respond.

The poor ones amongst them who had nothing to copy from only focused on their work.

Some spoiled brats didn’t even copy it themselves, as their servants even did it completely for them.

“You fool!! You’re to write my name not yours!!”. Bong snapped kicking his servant on the head and the servant instantly began cleaning up but mistakenly tore the sheets and Bong let out a smirk before unsheathing his sword about slaying his servant.

“Every other sheets should be torn also”. The Emperor said from amongst the students and everyone including the Minister’s anxiously and fearfully searched around for him, after recognizing his voice and Bong’s sword fell from his hands in shock and fright also.

Then the Emperor removed the inspector hat he was putting on so they could see him. He had actually disguised as one of inspectors and then everyone went on their knees trembling as they bowed completely.

“Go–od morn–ning your majesty!!!!!!!”. They all greeted at once to the Emperor who ignored their greetings as he stood in the middle of some cheating candidates, his hands behind his back, and their eyes widened as the Emperor bent to pick one of their papers and tore it completely into pieces making everyone’s eyes widened.

“What are you all waiting for?! Follow my lead!!!”. The Emperor roared in rage as he set another person’s paper ablaze, and everyone of them immediately without thinking set their papers ablaze with their powers, the ones with low spiritual powers amongst them tore their sheets and even went as far as swallowing it.

“First time I like what he’s doing”. Han muttered willing tearing his sheets also, he hadn’t actually collected a answer copy earlier.

“We’re doomed”. Minister Wei mumbled watching with shocked eyes as the other minister’s didn’t even move.

“Let’s–go–tell the Queen Mother”. Minister Zuo said running to the court instantly amd everyone else followed…
