“Your majesty? Are you alright?”. Zucchini asked his eyes still widened as he walked towards the demon king who turned to face him.

“Let’s go find her. She can’t spent the night out”. Damon said walking away and Zucchini followed him in utter confusion.

“He suddenly wants her alive why?”. Zucchini muttered as he followed Damon.

EVENING>
<ASURA CLAN>

Sindara sat on her father’s throne smiling at half of his army’s assembled right in front of her. They were all looking fearless and ferocious and like a gazzilion in number in the huge hall all facing her with their heads bowed as they waited for her to speak.

Then she stood up from the throne pacing elegantly through and fro, right in front of the throne. Her long red gown sweeping the floor behind her.

“We’re the strongest in whole of demon realms. We helped the late Demon king challenge the heavens and almost won the huge war 300 years ago if it wasn’t for the Emperor’s sword that is still confiscated till now. We still have a chance! No lightening sword to stop us! Let’s finish up from where our ancestors left and prove to both the tenth province and heavens that they’ve underestimated we Asuras enough!!”. Sindara’s voice boomed through the hall and the loud cheer of the army filled the room till she raised up her hand and made them stop.

“But first we must rebuild our empire and get the rest of my father’s army to join us, cause this is a fight for our freedom! We’ve been bullied enough by both the heavens and Damon himself! He sees our powers as thr_@ts and always wants to own every of it, but now! We’ll prove to him that his fears were right! Asuras can really dominate the whole world!!”. Sindara said loudly.

“Yes we can!!!”. The Army chorused and Sindara smirked.

“I’m happy we agree cause tonight is going to be a bloodbath of both the demon clan and the tenth province!! Damien and Damon must feel our wrath tonight!! A thousand demon and thousand supernatural must be eliminated tonight! ki|| most of their army so their security and defences reduce and then we’ll become the most powerful in these whole realm!!”. Sindara said and as most of the soldiers cheered others still had doubts and she sighed deeply, before breaking into fake tears gaining their attention.

“The late demon king showed us lots of affection but the ruthless Emperor of Yongxi ki||ed him for us and ever since then Damon treated us like we weren’t one of them! He even ki||ed my father and twin sister! The only family i have, now I’m lonely with no family members”. Sindara cried wiping off her fake tears but more kept on pouring and everyone became quiet.

“We’re not doing this cause we love blood, but to avenge the late general Asura!!!”. One of the soldiers shouted from the crowd.

“For the late general!!”. The Whole Army chorused and Sindara smirked secretly before facing them all again.

“Go and return with victory!!!”. She said in her most pitiful voice and immediately the whole soldiers disappeared at once and she broke into laughter.

“They forgot to ask for my medallion…i just need to keep emotionally blackmail them to fufill my wishes till i get my medallion back from Damon”. Sindara muttered to herself as she went to sit back down on the throne smiling dangerously.

<THE WANG’S MANSION>

“I’m very grateful you honored our invite for dinner young Lord. It’s a huge privilege”. Mistress Soni smiled staring at Han who sat calmly opposite her as her personal maid poured tea for him, while he fanned himself gently with his wooden fan.

“How has life in the military been for you my lord? I heard from your father that you’ll be joining the court soon as a junior official, and from there obviously you’ll be promoted slowly to the post of a minister”. Mistress Soni said nicely and Han smiled lightly staring at the arranged delicacies before them like it was an already planned feast.

“It seems you already did your reaserchs about me”. Han muttered picking up his tea and sipoing from it before dropping it back.

“Oh not really. I was just a little curious. You see…my daughter has a liking to you and i just wanted to know what pulled her to you…if you don’t mind”. Mistress Soni said trying so hard not to feel awkward even though she was and Han blinked.

“Your daughter? Which of them?”. Han asked hoping it was Jade that liked him.

“I have only one daughter so of course it’s Bae”. Mistress Soni said and Han only nodded sighing in disappointment and the Mistress couldn’t help but notice his disappointed gaze.

‘Who was he expecting it to be? Cherry? That thing doesn’t keep her legs in a place’. Mistress Soni snapped in her head.

Then almost immediately Bae walked in, putting on a very white robe to present herself as an angel and Han seeing her couldn’t help but scoff within. Her makeup was just too much bright forcing herself to shine.

‘Is she a ghost or what?’. Han thought as Bae walked in smiling brightly and innocently she settled right next to him making him blink in daze as she began refilling his tea cup in the most elegant way possible.

“Call me Bae Wang. The second daughter of this family”. Bae introduced dropping the tea cup and Han nodded picking up the cup to drink from and she smiled.

“I made it specifically for you. It wasn’t easy getting the perfect flavors, my slaves had to travel far and beyond to purchase them”. Bae muttered with the hope of receiving accolade.

“That means your servant made this. Not you”. Han replied in the most polite way ever and Bae bit her lower lip, while Mistress Soni noticing the awkwardness between them she instantly got up.

“The deer must have been roasted fully by now. I’ll go check”. Mistress Soni said, then she winked at Bae before leaving.

“So tell me. Now that you’re back in the city do you have any future plans apart from joining the court son?”. Bae asked and Han rolled eyes.

“The exams are still next week. I don’t get why your mother and you keep making it look like I’ve written the exams and has been summoned to court….

“Quit being so humble! We know you have a huge brain so passing is a piece of rice cake for you. And even if you fumble a little your father, my father in law is one of the most powerful minister’s in court so he’ll truly work things out for you and our future”. Bae said confidently sweeping a strand of loose hair behind her face to look cute.

“Father in law? How? When? Are you dating my sister?”…

“Of course not! I don’t like girls especially not this brat!”. Giselle snapped rushing into the place and Bae’s widened as she stood up to meet Giselle’s glare.

“Who let you in?!”. Bae asked loudly and Giselle scoffed wrapping her hands.

“Me of course! You think so security is so tight like that of our mansion?! And what gave you the effontery to woo my brother?! He’s too good for you Bae back off!”. Giselle snapped and Bae rolled eyes at her.

“Do you plan on wooing him yourself?! He’s your older brother so stay off his personal life!…

“Who made you a part of my personal life?”. Han suddenly asked getting up to his feet to face Bae who walked to him.

“I might look loud, but I’m not really loud Han…

“I came here, cause my father forced me to nothing too derp or special so learn to respect boundaries Bae. You even went as far as calling my father, father in law already? Learn to calm down, put your mind at peace and your real husband will appear right in front of you”. Han said before walking out of the place and Bae broke down to the floor, tears rolling down her eyes and Giselle shook head potifully at her.

“Get a grip of yourself Bae. You’ll find someone better. That’s if he exists though”. Giselle laughed mockingly before strolling out also and on her way towards the gate were Hanging was waiting for her, she caught a glimpse of Jun in the garden walking slowly in the support of his mother and she blinked confusion.

“Is my Jun sick?”. Giselle muttered making to walk to them.

“Where are you going to Giselle!!”. Han yelled from behind and she sighed giving Jun a last glance before running to meet Han.

Mistress Soni seeing the siblings exiting the gate in their palanquins quickly rushed into the dining only to see her daughter in tears and her eyes widened.

“Bae!!!”. Mistress Soni gasped rushing to her daughter on the floor.

“What’s wrong Bae, the dinner didn’t go well?”. Mistress Soni asked and Bae shook her head.

“I got rejected even before I could show him my fighting ski||s fitting for a minister’s wife! His stupid sister had to appear and ruin everything!!”. Bae screamed throwing the meals on the table to the floor and the plates shattered to pieces while her mother only sighed hugging her tightly as she stroked her hair fondly.

“We’ll find someone else, With no annoying little sister. Your father even h@ťěs the Zhuos cause of their constant fights in court so just forget about it”. Mistress Soni tried consoling.

“But i want Han!!”. Bad screamed leaving her mother’s arms to flip over the whole dinning table together with the food on top before running out of the place and her mother’s eyes widened.

“Bae!! Bae!!”. Misteess Soni called running after her daughter.

Right outside the inn a lot of people, villagers and strangers gathered the noticed board. Two soldiers just pasted two notice on the board and left as the people gathered around it to read.

👥 Maybe the Emperor finally died, since we haven’t gotten any news about his recovery.

The last person said and everyone gasped out.

“Learn to keep your mouth shut you fool! If the Emperor dies then we’re all doomed!”. One of the villagers said.

“Then what do we do?! None of us over here can read but they keep pasting foolish notices and then purnish us for not following orders like we knew”. Another said and others agreed then suddenly Damon and Zucchini appeared right in front of them shocking everyone with their dark aura.

“It’s the…demon king…

That particular person wasn’t done speaking when Damon immediately sealed his lips and everyone in fear stood rooted to their ground, some even peeing on themselves.

And Damon shook head at them before facing the notice reading out one of them.

“The date of the exam for the enrollment into the royal court has been moved to tomorrow early morning, changes made by the Emperor himself so every youngsters interested must be prepared and be in the palace very early tomorrow blah..blah..nonsense”. Damon read like a bored child moving to the other notice while everyone still pondered on the first one.

“The Kingdom has done enough for the lowly privileged and even went as far as sponsoring their education and training but due to shortage of the money in the royal treasury all sponsorship shall be seized and children being sponsored by the Emperor will be made to work under their given masters. Note: it’s not optional but compulsory if you’ve gained from the Emperor’s money, the ministers should also gain from you! Dong Fei Fei Lu Ku Wei assigned as servants in the Wen mansion…Gu Ara…Cha Xiu…servants in the Zhuo mansion…blah…all the names listed below must report to their respective masters very early tomorrow morning…none of their parents are allowed to go with them…blah…blah…sighed Emperor…Damien…Cheng”. Damon finished reading a smirk playing at the side of his lips.

“And they claim we demons are more evil”. Damon scoffed as he intentionally unsealed the lips of everyone before walking into the inn with Zucchini and immediately the whole place became filled up with screams and tantrums most ladies already crying for their little ones.

The Emperor stood reading a scroll in his hand as he paced round the room to focus more, but for some reason he keeps hearing loud noises from outside like as if alot of people where yelling out his name and sending him curses as well.

He was about looking out the window when…

“Yummy! You’re not hungry right?! If I eat them all don’t bite me later okay?”. Jade said filling her mouth with more.

“I only gave you those so you don’t sing in my ear about saving me again”. The Emperor rolled eyes walking to sit opposite her on the eating table sitting composedly as he watched Jade continued munching on the food fast her sprained elbow already bandaged again.

“You’re missing alot! But then I was the one who saved you and you didn’t safe yourself so I deserve all the food!”. Jade said again and the Emperor already salivating slowly as he watched her eat half of the meat, cleared his throat loudly and Jade looked up from her food to face him.

“Are you hungry? Eat and keep your ego!”. Jade replied continuing her food and the Emperor frowned.

“Aren’t you going to dish out my meal? How come you lack etiquette?”. Emperor Damien asked and Jade looked up at him again.

“I thought…that was the work of ones wife or servant…oh I’m your mistress now. My bad”. Jade said immediately standing up to dish the Emperor’s food and the Emperor stared closely at her as she seriously served him and almost sat back down.

“No beef?”. The Emperor questioned and Jade quickly stood to cut a huge chunk of beef into his plate and she made to sit down.

“And?”. The Emperor’s voice came again and Jade blinked in confusion.

“And what? You want me to taste it for poison?”. Jade asked and the Emperor stood up in rage.

“Serving me food without a drink, you want to choke me to death don’t you!”. The Emperor snapped walking to the bed sit on it and continue his reading and Jade sighed.

“And i thought I have a huge problem. How come he rants like a kid?”. Jade scoffed.

“What did you just say?”. The Emperor threw her a glare, but instead she stood picking his plate of food and chop stick.

Walking to him as she bent before him taking a stick of food to his mouth.

“Do i look like a kid?”. The Emperor scoffed giving her a raised eyebrow.

“Oh..sorry”. Jade muttered making to take the food away from his lips but the Emperor’s hand suddenly held hers as he brought his hand closer to his mouth and ate from her hand, making Jade smile as she refilled the chopstick.

“It’s not that good but it’s manageable”. The Emperor said as he ate more from her hand and suddenly began coughing.

Jade quickly rushed to pick up a little cup and a wine bottle before returning back to the Emperor.

Giving the Emperor the cup to hold, she had no idea of how elegantly she was supposed to pour the Emperor a drink as she poured it into the little cup like a renowned drunkard making the Emperor shake head at her as he drank from the cup she just refilled for him.

“You should learn from other girls. Is this how you pour tea? Everything about you is just different”. The Emperor scoffed shaking his head as he returned the cup to her while Jade bit her lower lip dropping both the wine bottle and cup on the table.

“A big show is going on downstairs would you like to go watch!”. Jade asked the Emperor.

“Go back to reading. You aren’t here to play”. The Emperor said and Jade instantly ran to pick up the tray of food they just finshed.

“I’ll clear this up for the nice inn manager”. Jade smiled and before the Emperor would say anything she was already out of sight.

“She really needs to be dealt with”. The Emperor said walking towards the door to go after her, but then when he remembered when Jade had fed him earlier and smiled shortly before frowning back and leaving the room.

DOWNSTAIRS>>

“Masked Queen!! Masked Queen!!”. Everyone cheered loudly as they watched the dance of pretty masked lady, who stood on the podium right in front of them and dancing prettily to the tune of the playing music as everyone cheered for her while some ladies did nothing but glare at her performance all through.

“Wow!!”. Zucchini clapped but immediately stopped so as not to disturb whose full gaze were on Sindura’s flower as he backed the whole performance while Zucchini faced him, so he had full access to the show he was currently enjoying.

“Woah!! Classy moves!! Masky!!”. Zucchini suddenly cheered unconsciously and Damon instantly threw him a glare, which made him bow instantly.

“Get up and go search around for her”. Damon ordered Zuchini who instantly stood up glancing at the masked Dancer he left in search of Sindura.

“Her scent on the flower keeps leading me here but i see no sign of her yet”. Damon muttered sniffing the petals of the flower in his hand for the upteethm time.

Then suddenly the sight Jade suddenly running into the kitchen with a tray of plates I her hand made him stand up instantly.

“Phoenix girl is here? Best opportunity”. Damon smirked walking towards the kitchen. He was about going in when a strong hand held his shoulder from behind and he turned to cone face to face with the Emperor.

“What are you doing in my kingdom?”. Emperor Damien asked his gaze sharp and clear and Damon scoffed.

“Ever since you found of that girl was a phoenix you won’t let her go. Be contented Damien and hand that girl over to us”. Damon said.

“In your dreams. No demon is allowed in here!!!”. The Emperor said boldly stretching his hands and his sword appeared in his hands and Damon smirked summoning his own dark sword and everyone around began running for cover disrupting Masked girl’s performance.

And immediately a huge fight occurred between the Emperor and Damon with the Emperor having the upper hand.

Jade came out of the kitchen seeing the commotion and people running about her eyes widened, but she saw the masked girl pouring drinks on the ground were Damon stood so he could fall and the Emperor could ki|| him and immediately Damon really fell to the ground but he saw what the masked girl did, and so sent his sword at her to ki|| her but the sword caught her mask instead running into the wooden wall and it fell off, revealing her pretty and both the Emperor and Damon stopped what they were doing as they stared at Sindura with shocked eyes, but she immediately ran out of the Inn.

“No d@mn way. You’ll hide from me again”. Damon muttered as he ran after her, while the Emperor only still stood looking dazed.

“Didn’t know you fall for beauties also”. Jade scoffed behind him and he turned to face her making to speak but then a huge blow hit the earth outside making everywhere shake, causing huge blue fire everywhere outside and both Damon and Sindura ran back into the inn.

Some few people ran in also.

“Let go of me!”. Sindura glared at Damon who held her tight as he walked straight to the Emperor.

“And you claim to be a great ruler! As if selling the young ones as slaves isn’t enough your security isn’t even strong?!! How the hell were the Asuras!! Able to break In so easily!!”. Damon growled loudly and everyone around including the inn manager gasped loudly.

“A…sura? The same army the heavens found hard to wipe out!! They literally control lightening fire itself!!”. The inn manager yelled loudly and immediately everyone began screaming loudly.

The Emperor then faced Sindura who was in Damon’s grip.

“Where’s your medallion? Order your father’s army to retreat or I ki|| them all..

The Emperor wasn’t done when Damon broke into laughter and another blow hit the earth again making almost everyone except the Emperor and Damon to fall to the ground. Sindura didn’t fall cause Damon still held her tight.

‘What in heaven’s name is called an Asura? How come they’re this powerful to even shake the earth multiple times with strong fire?’. Jade asked were she sat on the floor as a result of the fall.

“Where the hell is your medallion?!!!”. The Emperor yelled out making Sindura flinch in fear and Damon raised his sword to the Emperor’s neck.

“Yell at her one last time and I promise, everyone here won’t survive, including your little phoenix”. Damon thr_@tened and the Emperor moved closer striking Damon in the arm with his sword and his arm began bleeding instantly but another blow from the Asuras outside hit the earth causing a huge earth quake again and immediately everyone present in the inn went on their knees…

“Please spiritual Lords, stop your arguments and save us all!!!!”. Everyone chorused at once with the inn manager’s voice overshadowing everyone else.
