Damon asked his eyes glittering with disbelief as he moved closer to Sindara and Sindara smirked bringing out a bronze medallion from her long red gown and Damon’s eyes widened as he snatched it from her to confirm before scoffing as he pocketed the medallion while Sindara glared at him.

“Give me that now!”. Sindara snapped going to take the medallion from where Damon hid it in his robe, but Zucchini stepped in pushing her chest with his dark force and immediately Sindara stargerred backward spitting out blood, but she still stood her ground making Damon scoff.

“You’re really not my Sindura, that push was enough to send her flying”. Damon said moving closer to Sindara and Zucchini followed him closely.

“Your parents really don’t love you. They gave you a bronze instead of silver medallion like your sister’s, poor thing. With this bronze in my hand i can only command half of your father’s army, what use is it exactly? You’re truly the rejected stone”. Damon shook head pitifully before walking away but Sindara ran to block his exit.

“Atleast take me with you!! I’m a really ski||ful fighter and can help you take down the imperial army in one go!”. Sindara said and Zuchinni let out a mocking laughter, but a raise of Damon’s hand made him stop.

“Don’t bother. Seeing your face annoys me, so just run along”. Damon winked taking a step away but Sindara quickly held his arm.

“I control vernomuos poison too. I’m quite ambitious also! I h@ťě being cast away and will destroy anyone that calls me useless!! I’ve been through alot already!!”. Sindara snapped and Damon in anger threw her hand off him gripping her neck as he glared at her.

“If i tell you to run along, you run along or i ki|| you like i did to your sister!!”. Damon snapped throwing her down the stoney stairs and she landed unconsciously at the base breaking her knee bone and blood oozing out of her head.

“She’s quite fierce, we might need her powers”. Zucchini said as he and Damon walked down the stoney stairs to meet Sindara’s unconscious body.

“Forget the powers, I h@ťě her face”. Damon gritted his teeth as he glared at Sindara’s unconscious body.

“You…must really…h@ťě her sister”. Zucchini said.

“I’m not saying this cause my h@ťě for the dead. But the fact that this witch shares her face is enough for me to ki|| her, she doesn’t deserve the face”. Damon muttered his fist tightened as he looked away from unconscious Sindara and began walking away, Zucchini followed him in puzzlement of what he just stated.

The moment Sindara was sure Damon already left she stood up from the ground in pains glaring at his leaving figure.

“And he claims to h@ťě her? ki||ing someone he likes? Well my sister deserved it, she can’t keep having all the good fortunes to herself”. Sindara muttered as she held her sprained right elbow tight.

“I’ll just build my own empire then. Let’s see who gets the bigger army and ki||s more people”. Sindara smirked before dragging herself back to her chamber, Located at the back of the mansion.

<MINA’S CHAMBER>

Mina kept staring out side her window erupted with rage. She had watched the Emperor drag Jade out of the palace earlier and had earlier been waiting for their return but now the moon’s fully out and they’re still not back.

“How many hours…How many hours would he possibly be spending with that wrench?!!!”. Mina screamed flipping the table beside her upside down pouring all her writing stuffs to the ground.

“This is really uncalled for!! So what if she possess strange powers? Does it means she can free the Emperor from his curse?! No one can!! Not even the late Emperor could so why waste time on her?!!”. Mina screamed walking to her bed and taking off the bedsheets throwing them to the floor.

“Take it easy on yourself Minnie. Come here i brought tea for us”. Hani smiled from the door as she walked in with a tray of tea, then she dropped the tray on the floor and settled beside it, elegantly pouring tea for the both of them.

“What are you doing in my room?”. Mina asked strolling towards Hani who was very much relaxed as she dropped a tiny tea cup in front of Mina and began sipped from hers before dropping her teacup and smiling at Mina.

“Why are you here Hani?…

“The Emperor’s purposefully proposting the whole competition just so his student can have enough time to train. Who knows what would be going on in their training process. Bet your blind sis would see it as a leverage to flirt with the Emperor”. Hani said and Mina instantly bent towards her.

“You’re intentionally trying to get me angry right?!”…

“Angry and Jealous! Cause you look so beautiful with those two expressions on your face. Minnie just retreat okay, I’m all in on this…even smart Asa the Queen Mother still has her doubts about you and thats why she hasn’t sent help yet, just…don’t stress yourself anymore and go back to your father’s house at this rate Bae might even find a suitor before you”. Hani said in a pitiful way that angered Mina more as she directed her power at her but Hani ski||fully dodged it getting up fully she smirked.

“Work on your temper also”. Hani smirked winking annoyingly at Mina who only glared at her with balled fist just then a knock came on the door and Mina comporting herself went to open it.

“The Queen Mother asked me to give you this”. The Queen Mother’s Personal maid Lila said handing a cream coloured note to Mina who smiled taking it before closing the door after Lila left.

Mina showed no hesitation in unveiling the letter and after reading the content she smiled squeezing it in her hands.

“Lovely! This is great! Thought you said, she abandoned me? But right here she just invited me to an outing with her first thing tomorrow morning”. Mina smirked at Hani who frowned with anger before walking out of the room and Mina grinned mockingly.

“I just have this feeling Jade was only meant to be a mistress and nothing more. So what if she’s the god of war, the previous ones never ends up married? Their love lives are always a big failure and if best is to happen to them they only end up as the heavenly Prince’s concubine but never a wife as they’re only meant for battles and not ruling right next to a King. It’ll be more like a bomb once i take over, they’ll all be shocked”. Mina smiled confidently as she walked to lay on her sheet less bed.

“Soon-to-be Empress Mina Damien Cheng”. Mina said then chuckled at her own remarks.

<THE WANG’S MANSION>

“So you’re telling me it’s just a phase that Jun will get better?”. Minister Wang asked settling beside Lady Wang on the bed and she smiled pulling closer to him as began stroking his beard.

Lady Wang only had a duvet covering her nakedness while her husband wore only a white silk trouser without a upper robe.

“Yes. But let’s keep that aside. It’s been long you rembered my chamber so let’s make it count”. Lady Wang said kissing her husband on his lips and Minister Wang still looking worried for his only heir rarely responded annoying Lady Wang as she continued forcing her lips on his till a knock came on the door and she angrily pulled away from him.

“Whose the goose disturbing our moment?!!”. Lady Wang snapped loudly sitting up on the bed.

“Take it easy Lani, your children are still young and yet to be married don’t make them motherless yet”. Minister Wang said getting up from the bed and putting on his robe making his wife’s eyes widened.

“You’re leaving? Without even spending enough time with me?!”. Lady Wang questioned and the knock came again.

“I remember telling you all not to come disturb us tonight do you want to get beaten to death?!!”. Lady Wang snapped at her servants, getting down from the bed with her duvet and finding a robe to throw on.

But before she could go out Mistress Gora already walked in bowing to Minister Wang who stared calmly at her.

“Gora? Is everything alright?”. Minister Wang asked noticing the few drops of tears on Mistress Gora’s eyes and Lady Wang only glared at her.

Then suddenly and unexpectedly Mistress Gora went on her knees right in front of the Minister making both the Minister and his wife’s eyes to widened.

“Please my lord, please tell your wife to release my Jun. He’s currently not breathing but everyone keeps telling me he’s asleep..I don’t believe my son’s asleep cause my heartaches wouldn’t just stop coming! I beg you my Lord tell your wife to free our only son!! If she was too weak to give birth to one she shouldn’t ki|| the one i have. Her daughters are there for her to use as her pawns not my son!!”. Mistress Gora said pleading in tears from the start of her statement but soon poured out her anger at the ending and Lady Wang only walked closer to her slapping her across the face.

“Lani!!”. Minister cautioned enraged at his wife.

“You lowly s..x thing of my husband!! You dare tell me what to do!! So what if I’m without a son?! As long as you birthed Jun with my husband’s help he’s partly my son also…

“Lani just use your own daughters to fufill your greedy intentions not my son!!”. Mistress Gora snapped back on her knees and Lady Wang made to slap her again but her husband held her hand mid-air, then he dropped her hand after glaring at her and faced Mistress Gora.

“My Lord!!”. Lady Wang called and the Minister threw her a deadly glance before facing Mistress Gora again.

“She…instilled some strange powers into…

“Some strange powers?! That strange power belongs to the girl you all called worthless!”. Lady Wang cut Mistress Gora off and her husband frowned in confusion facing her.

“What do you mean?”. Minister Wang asked.

“Her son Jun is a very powerless creature! fragile like a snail, and wiggly like a rope when he was birthed! I knew it would destroy our family’s honor if everyone were to find out the only son we were fortunate to have was more weak than a new born child and so, i stole…that daughter of a slave’s power to give him…

“That’s dark magic Lani, you just put us all in trouble!!”. Minister Wang snapped in rage and Lady Wang scoffed.

“And you think lord Shenghai doesn’t know?! He’s obviously on our side on this too and that’s why we have not been purnished for it yet after so many years have passed”. Lady Wang said unfazed and Minister Wang was forced to slap her hard on the face sending her straight to the floor in rage.

“You slap me?”. Lady Wang muttered in shock looking up at her angry husband.

“You don’t know how the heavens works you rash woman!! We’ll all surely get punished…

“That’s not the problem my Lord, the problem here now is that she gave Jade’s powers to my son…

“Shut up! Shut your mouth there Gora! This talk ends here! No one is to find out! And as for the stolen powers, that wretched girl doesn’t deserve it, old shenghai must have mistakenly given to her! She doesn’t even need it again! She already has enough and has ki||ed alot of people with it already, so what ever poeers my son has now, fully nelongs to him and no one else!! So you both watch your mouth if you don’t want to become more poorer than your servants!”. Minster Wang cautioned his eyes clothed with anger as he walked out of the room shocking Mistress Gora who got up from her knees, and Lady Wang smirked.

“Hear that? Even he thinks, Jun’s best deserving of the powers so just let things be and leave”. Lady Wang smirked getting up to sit on her bed and Mistress Gora’s tears wouldn’t stop pouring.

“You both are just too thirsty to keep your high position in this kingdom! None of you worry about my sick son and what he’s passing through!!”. Mistress Gora snapped out in tears as she ran out ofthe chamber while Lady Wang laughed mockingly at her.

“I have a son…you don’t have a son..your daughters are useless., they can’t carry on the family’s name…blah..blah”. Lady Wang mimicked playfully breaking into more laughter.

“Who’s child is dying now? Certainly not my girls?”. Lady Wang joked and laughed at her own remark in an annoying tone, her red face as a result of the earlier slap shining brightly in the candle litted room.

NEXT MORNING>>
<CHEN FOREST>

“Are you tired?”. The Queen Mother asked Mina who instantly shook her head as she smiled.

“I dare not complain your majesty”. Mina replied humbly and the Queen Mother smiled as they journeyed deeper into the woods on foot, no servants or guards with them and Mina kept wondering why.

They had left the palace with guards and servants and even traveled with their personal palanquins instead of on foot.

Then they finally arrived right in front of an almost wrecked hut and the Queen Mother using her powers to make the wooden door of the hut disappear she walked in and then turned to shocked Mina who stood outside glued to her spot.

“Come on in”. The Queen Mother smiled urging her before walking into the hut and Mina had to swallow her pride to go in only to be met with an hut interiorly decorated and protected with numerous talismans.

“Is this the hut of a witch?”. Mina asked looking around as she gulped down nothing.

“Witches are extinct in this kingdom cause of our rule of ki||ing them at young age, remember? Just follow me”. The Queen Mother said going derper into the tiny hut and Mina sighed before following her.

Then they got to a very short table located at the end of the hut and the Queen Mother in her disguised blue expensive robe instead of her red, royal robe sat on the sandy floor right in front of the short table designed with lots of talismans.

Then the Queen Mother tapped on the floor beside her for Mina to sit on.

“Me?! On this dirty ground?!”. Mina gasped in her head but when the Queen Mother gestured at her to sit again, she had to go to sit right next to the Queen Mother hiding her angry look.

‘The things I go through just to become the next Empress!’. Mina snapped in her head fuming with rage and then unexpectedly a lady in a yellow and red robe with deep red lipstick and eyeshadow appeared opposite them taking Mina unaware as she was ready to fight.

“Cool down, she’s here to tend to us”. The Queen Mother said to Mina who sighed in relief but wouldn’t stop glaring at the lady who looked like she was age mates with the Queen Mother.

“Long time, no see your highness”. The lady greeted bowing respectfully with a smily face and the Queen Mother smiled back before facing Mina.

“Masa, i want you to check her horoscope for me go deeper into her future and tell me if me putting my full time on her to become the next effort wouldn’t be a wasted effort. I h@ťě anything or anybody fruitless”. The Queen Mother said and Mina gulped down as she fidgetes with her wrist then her eyes suddenly widened in realization.

“She…she’s a shaman? But…it’s highly contraband in the whole tenth province? What if the Emperor finds out…

“I’m where I am right now thanks to her, so stay cool if you want to achieve your goals not every hands must be clean”. The Queen Mother said to Mina who still looked tensed.

“Give me your right hand my lady”. Masa said to Mina who reluctantly gave it to her and then the lady began to feel her pulse and smiled suddenly.

“She has potentials to rule like you my Queen. But then..like you said she won’t become the next Empress through clean means, she needs to soil her hands greatly before thinking of the Emperor or the throne, cause the opponent she’s facing is a very tough one that has already been chosen by the heavens right before her birth but…”. The Shaman suddenly stopped making Mina and the Queen curious.

“But what Masa?”. The Queen Mother asked looking very anxious.

“It’s best I reserve the rest”. Masa said and the Queen Mother sighed getting up and throwing a coin pouch at Masa whose eyes shoned brightly seeing it.

“Let’s leave”. The Queen Mother said to Mina who instantly followed her like her puppet.

<XIUIN INN>

The Emperor stared at Jade’s sleeping figure, a mixture of anger and warmth roaming in his dark eyes as he sat on the bed staring at her.

Jade laid her head on her reading desk when she was supposed to master all the characters the Emperor had stayed up all night teaching her.

Then slowly he got up trying to take a step closer but his back ached as a result of the lightening chain and he was forced to stop on his track taking in a deep breath to suppress the pain, but nothing seemed to work as he fell to his knees causing a thud that woke Jade up.

“I wasn’t sleeping!!”. Jade blurted as she woke up sharply, her eyes still drowsy as she looked around for the Emperor only to meet him one knee on the ground battling with pain.

“Poker face!”. Jade gasped rushing to him as she made to help him up but he stopped her with a raise of his hand and she blinked in confusion.

“Your back is obviously acting up again..

“I know, it’ll go so don’t bother me”. The Emperor cut her off and Jade slowly nodded watching him try to get up again but he fell back down and she went to him forcing him to sit on the ground and he gave her an arched eyebrow.

“Just…sit down on floor since you can’t stand. I’ll help you tend to your wound”. Jade said opening the chest region of the robe she was putting on and the Emperor sighed looking away.

“I think I should teach you about morals too”. The Emperor said and Jade blinked in confusion as she knelt beside him.

“Huh? What did you say?”. Jade asked reaching deeper into her robe touching every part of her Břě@šť and the Emperor shook head at her.

“Don’t you ever find what you’re looking for in there?”. The Emperor questioned though his gaze wasn’t on her.

“Its my body not yours. Thought you were looking away, how come you still see me”. Jade asked finally finding what she was looking for, then she smiled widely.

“Here’s your wound’s special ointment! I was sure to take it with me whereever i go!”. Jade smiled smiling showing the Emperor a small white container and his eyes widened.

“You hid…my medicine in your…

“My cherries yes? Any problem with that?”. Jade asked and the Emperor blinked staring at her.

“Cherries? What cherries?”. He asked.

“Oh! My burst are my cherries! The big one on the left is called Jadine! While the medium sized one on the right is Jadina…

“Don’t you ever get tired of spouting out nonsense? The first twenty characters are what you’re still struggling with but you’re going about naming your private part…

The Emperor was cut short when another pain hit his back and he groaned out in pain.

“I’ll just apply the medicine!”. Jade uttered rushing to kneel behind the Emperor as she took off his robe dropping it on the floor right next to her.

Then she faced his heavily destroyed back and her mouth opened.

‘This is all my fault’. She thought in head.

“Do you know how to apply it?”. The Emperor’s weak voice came and Jade nodded.

“Yes..I think I do…

“Give it to me. I can’t take chances”. The Emperor said stretching out his hand for her to drop the medicine.

“No! I can do it trust me on this one…

“You almost ki||ed me with your bad food and you dare mention trust?!”. The Emperor snapped and Jade flinched in fear.

“Cool down please. I know what I’m doing now trust your only student…

“The more reason why I can’t trust you. Please…please and please Jade hand me the ointment now”. The Emperor said looking so done with her and she frowned as she opened the ointment and began applying it softly to his back making the Emperor sit up with his heart in his neck.

“Be careful, keep on going so slowly”. The Emperor cautioned still tensed as he began wishing she continued so smooth like that and Jade smiled as she continued.

“I told you I know how to apply…

Jade wasn’t done when she mistakenly spilled the whole hot ointment content on the Emperor’s back and the Emperor stood up completely on his feet.

“Ahh!!!”. Emperor Damien groaned dancing around the room as he tried touching his back but all proved futile.

“Jade….you crazy being!”. The Emperor snapped running round the room and Jade only sat fearfully on the ground watching him run a marathon.

“I’m so…sorry it was my first time applying it, I didn’t even know it was that hot”. Jade muttered and the Emperor while running threw her a glare.

“I thought you said you were used to applying it! You just used me as your guniea pig?!”. The Emperor growled and Jade shifted backward.

“Shouting…isn’t good for your health..and before i applied it you couldn’t even stand but now you’re running! Aren’t i so wonderful?!”. Jade stuttered trying to clarify herself and the Emperor changed his direction to her as he raced towards her.

“Ahh!!”. Jade screamed running for her dear life, as the Emperor began chasing her round the room meanwhile outside everyone already gathered their door trying to hear what was going on inside.
