Camila turned to Rafael to take a proper look at him. He was indeed the one who helped her the other day.
“Mr. Rafael,” she greeted him.
“Just Rafael,” he corrected her, which made her smile. Rafael couldn’t help but admire her looks and came to the conclusion that this lady before him gets more beautiful daily.
“You know, I’m surprised to see you at an event like this. Who’s the bastard that’s lucky enough to convince you to be his date?” Rafael then asked.
“Actually, she is married and you can turn around and call me a lucky bastard to my face,” someone said behind Rafael, which made him freeze.
Camila looked forward to see Alejandro looking at her with darkened eyes. She didn’t know what she did wrong but she couldn’t stop herself from gulping.
Rafael turned to look at Alejandro. He stiffened a bit, still trying to digest the fact that the lady he hadn’t been able to forget was married, and not just to anyone but to his rival, Alejandro.
“If you don’t have anything else to say, then my wife and I would love to sit at another table,” Alejandro said as he walked towards Camila and pulled her up.
“Hey, don’t pull me, I can walk myself,” Camila muttered through gritted teeth as she secretly tried to pull away from Alejandro’s arm.
“Is that why you walked yourself into another man’s arms?” Alejandro clapped back at her. He couldn’t hide the displeased look on his face.
“What are you even talking about?” Camila finally pulled her hands away from his when they got to an empty table.
“I brought you here as my date. You are supposed to keep me company, not flash your teeth at some other guy. Your parents didn’t tell me you were shameless,” he said.
“You!” Camila resisted the urge to slap him across the face.
Meanwhile, Rafael, watching behind, was clenching his fist secretly. He didn’t like that Alejandro was once again ahead of him.
“Rafael, there you are. You left without informing me and I have been searching for you everywhere,” his date walked up to him. She was a blonde model, but he wasn’t paying attention to her.
“Rafael,” she called again, following his gaze, and her eyes met with Camila. She stared at her, then at Rafael, who was still staring unfazed by her presence. She took her gaze back to Camila and frowned deeply.
A few minutes later, everyone was seated, and the event was about to start. The host walked to the stage, dressed in a designer blazer.
“Good evening, everyone. I’m sure we’ve all had enough time to do our friendly gathering. Before we start giving out the awards, we brought an artist to perform to keep the vibe flowing. Everyone, give it up for Ashely Lace,” he announced, and the audience clapped, getting hyped up.
A female jazz musician was introduced to the stage and began singing, playing her jazz instrument while the audience listened. Camila, however, was feeling sleepy. She had never been to an event for businessmen, and no one told her it was this boring. She couldn’t resist yawning.
“What’s wrong?” Alejandro, who had been watching, asked.
“You didn’t tell me this business event would be this boring. Even the musician is making me want to sleep,” Camila mumbled.
Alejandro smirked. “You want me to make it less boring for you?” he asked lowly.
“How?” she replied.
“Look at me, Camila. Make sure your eyes stay on me the whole time,” he told her.
Camila felt confused about why he was asking her to do that until she felt his hand on her thigh. Her eyes widened and she shot him a questioning look.
“That’s right, Camila, keep your eyes on me,” he whispered.
“But we are outside,” Camila looked concerned and excited at the same time. This was the first time in her life she would ever be involved in scandalous things, and part of her wanted to explore what it would feel like.
“No one will know I’m fínģƐŕing you under the table if you keep your d@mn eyes on me,” he gave her a very intense look as his hand moved higher and higher.
Camila bit her lip when his fingers brushed her P@ŋtîēṣ. Alejandro’s eyes darkened with pleasure.
“You’re wet,” his voice was very hot and raspy. “You bad girl, I know you like this.” He began rubbing her wet Pů$$¥ through her P@ŋtîēṣ slowly.
Camila’s eyes closed.
“Why are you so disobedient? Do you want me to bend you over this table and f-__-k your @$$h0le in front of everyone?” he said, and she quickly opened her teary eyes.
“Look at you, you want my fingers all the way in, don’t you?” he asked, flashing her a smirk.
“Please,” Camila managed to whisper, and he did as she asked, shifting her P@ŋtîēṣ so he could put his fingers in. They entered with ease.
“f-__-k, you’re so wet,” Alejandro growled silently. He began moving his hand in and out, making sure to keep eye contact with her.
Camila almost bit her lip off as she tried her best not to make any sound. It was so difficult because Alejandro kept going faster each second. She gripped her drink tightly; she was almost there, but Alejandro suddenly took his fingers out.
Camila gave him a questioning look. She wanted to complain but was interrupted when she heard everyone clapping. It felt like they had all witnessed what they did and were clapping because she put on a good show for them. But they were clapping because the jazz musician was done performing.
It was weird that she didn’t hear anything going on when Alejandro’s fingers were inside her. She looked at him as he wiped his hands with a tissue dropped for them on the table. He gave Camila a look as he slowly wiped his hands, making sure she saw the wetness of her on the tissue.
“Why didn’t you finish?” she asked him.
“It’s part of the punishment. I will give you the full one when we get home,” he replied, which confused Camila.
Punishment for what exactly?
The host came back to the stage and Alejandro turned serious as this was the part he had been waiting for.
“First, we are giving an award to the most outstanding businessman. The award goes to Mr. Alejandro Ruiz!” the host announced, and people clapped, including Camila, except for Rafael, who rolled his eyes behind him.
Alejandro went to the stage to take his award. He didn’t say much in his speech before coming back to his seat.
“The sales of the year award goes to Rafael Marcus. This man has managed to secure two billion dollars in the space of a year alone,” the host announced.
Alejandro’s eyes darkened when he saw Camila clapping.
“Who is your husband? Me or him?” he asked irritably, and Camila couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
“Couple of the year goes to Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez!”
People clapped as the couple walked to take their awards.
“Best female dress goes to Camila Ruiz!”
Camila was surprised that her name was among those collecting awards, but with a dress personally picked by the wife of the owner of D•S Style, what was she expecting?
People clapped for her, but the blonde at the back sitting with Rafael looked visibly pissed.
Then it got to the main part:
“And the award for company of the year goes to… Marcus Global Ventures,” the host announced, and everyone clapped loudly as Rafael made his way to the stage.
Alejandro looked really pissed off. He didn’t feel happy for the man because he felt like it should have been him out there. Everything the man was winning, he had stolen from him. He looked at Camila to make sure she wasn’t clapping, and she wasn’t.
When the event was over, Alejandro was the first to stand up. Camila stood to leave with him, but the blonde rushed towards her.
“Camila Ruiz, I love your dress. My name is Ximena Leon,” she said, pulling Camila in for a hug but whispered a different thing in her ear. “Throughout the event, my boyfriend couldn’t keep his eyes off you and I don’t like that. I don’t like it when people come to play with what’s mine,” she thr_@tened.
“Ximena,” a male voice called, and she pulled away from the hug. The person was Rafael, but his eyes were on Camila.
“I was just complimenting her dress, right, Camila?” Ximena faked a sweet smile at Camila.
Camila confusedly nodded, still trying to digest the fact that this same woman had thr_@tened her over a man she didn’t care about.
“Camila, I didn’t know you were married. You didn’t tell me,” Rafael said painfully.
“I didn’t think it was necessary for you to know my marital status,” Camila shrugged her shoulders simply.
Rafael looked like he had more things to say but didn’t know where to start. How could he tell her that he had fantasized about her since she walked into his life and he was willing to do anything to have her, even if it meant breaking her marriage apart?
“Do you want me to fling you over my shoulders before you know I’ve been waiting for you in the car?” Alejandro walked towards them, his eyes darkened at the sight of Rafael. He held Camila by the waist, pulling her close to him possessively.
“Mr. Ruiz, congratulations on your wins,” Rafael greeted.
“We both know you don’t deserve the company of the year award or any of the awards you’ve won tonight,” Alejandro replied, and Rafael only smirked at him.
“Is that so?” Rafael raised an eyebrow.
“I know what you’re doing, Mr. Marcus, and you will pay for it. But for now, enjoy the credit while it lasts,” Alejandro added before leaving with Camila.
“@$$h0le, the only good thing about you is your wife. Watch me take her from you just like how I’ve managed to take everything else tonight,” Rafael muttered, but it was loud enough for his girlfriend to hear.
••••••
The ride back home was silent. Camila kept glancing at Alejandro, wondering what was annoying him. Was it because he wasn’t able to win the award he wanted, or was it something else? She couldn’t help but think.
Anyway, she decided to cheer him up.
“It doesn’t matter that you didn’t win company of the year. What matters is that people know the effort you put into managing your things and they appreciate you for it,” she tried to motivate him, but he only gave her a blank look.
Camila decided not to speak again until they got home. The driver helped them with the car door.
“Goodnight, Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz,” he greeted them as they both walked away.
Camila was glad to be back home. The only thing she could think of was her bed and how she wanted to bounce on it, wrapping the soft duvet around her body. However, the moment she stepped foot in the mansion, her back was pinned to the door, and Alejandro’s lips were on hers.
He kissed her hard, his tongue pushing deep into her throat, trying to taste everything rashly. Camila tried struggling to pull away, but he pinned her hands above her head with one of his hands while his other hand went to her throat, choking her hard but not enough to ki|| her.
He pulled away, and they both tried to catch their breath.
“Rule number 7” He said, staring deeply into her eyes. “Don’t smile at other men who aren’t me,” he stated.
