“We need to quicken it” Darko said to the Duke.

“My Lord…”

“Do not tell me to be patient. It remain a week I know that but what if what you said doesn’t come to pass? When he yelled I felt that stupid thing called fear.. something I’ve never felt before, Xander”

Xander eyes changed for a moment. “This is the first time I’ll hear you call my name… Sigh.. My Lord, are you serious about this?”

“Rather than anything else” Darko answered, his voice firm.

“If we are to quicken it, it won’t ki|| him, but make him go rampage. His emotions will be in haywire and he will destroy anything that comes it path. How are we to protect the people of this happens?” Xander asked.

“A little sacrifice to save many”

“The potion to ki|| him even when he is in rampage isn’t completed” Xander said.

“Then you shall complete it today. Zarek will go insane today and he will die today” Darko declared and Xander swallowed.

“My Lord…”

“No more questions. You’re my Duke and you will do what I ask”

“Very well then. The potion is almost ready afterall” Xander nodded.

A knock on interrupted them and they both snapped their heads to the door.

“My Lord,” The guard bow deeply. “Master Zarek….”

Hearing the news, Darko eyes widened and he face the Duke who have him a knowing smile.

“I’ll be right back” He said and left.

“Where is Kali?” He asked Otis, that followed him through the hall.

“Still locked up in her room sir” Otis replied.

“Prepare her and take her to Sebastian, I’ve decided that her wedding will hold on three days. Sebastian would need to see her first before that happens.. give this to him too” Darko said giving Otis a latter.

“Yes, my Lord” Otis bow and left.

Getting to Logan’s room, he found Amelia hugging him tight and running her finger through his hair.

Logan’s heart had stopped for a moment but had returned… Fainter than usual.

Amelia clinched her jaw meeting Darko’s blank gaze.

“Step down from my brother’s bed” Darko ordered.

“He is not your brother. You never took him as one. And I’m not leaving until he wakes” Amelia declared in a firm voice.

“That wasn’t a request witch” Darko’s eyes flickering with something dangerous. Guards steeped in with a cold look and the maids taking care of Logan cleared ways.

“Do the needs” Darko commanded and the guard marched to take Amelia away from Logan.

“Let go of me! I won’t let you hurt him!” She yelled as they pinned her to the floor.

“Leg go!!” She yelled again, feeling the strong hand chaining her.

Darko crouched to her level.

“When Logan challenged me, you must really think you’re going to get away. The moment you stepped foot into Shadowbrook, you should have known the fact that you won’t get out of here alive…” Darko shifted his gaze to unconscious Logan.

“Look at him” He said and Amelia shifted her gaze to Logan, her heart breaking. Just if Lyra is here, she would have vanish with him to somewhere far away.

“He is dying. He is weak, and sadly, he doesn’t even remember you…”

“Don’t you hurt him!” Amelia yelled.

“Oh sweetheart, I’m not the reason why he is forbidden. You are forbidden.. just both of you are poison to the land of Shadowbrook and here you are. His death will ring in your ear…” He reached to touch her face.

Amelia’s chest was heaving with so much panic running through her veins.

“And when that happens, I’ll treat you the same way I treated an old friend. Of course you know, you both have the same dreadful scent that turns me on” He laughed lightly like a Maniac.

He is a f-__-king maniac.

“You will enjoy it sweetheart. Tonight we shall start” He said.

Tonight he shall start with her, does that mean, he is planning to ki|| Logan today.

“No! Logan!! Let go off…” She made to yelled but a sedative was stabbed onto her neck and lost conciousness.

Naomi was seated in her room overlooking the city through the transparent glass.

Her mind blank as the scene last night kept replaying in her head.

Is he alive? She wondered.

She shouldn’t be thinking about this but she can’t help it.

A knock on her door snapped her back to reality.

“Come in” she said in a lazy voice and her door opened.

Standing up to face the person, she saw Nikita with her face smeared in tears.

“What do want, Duke’s daughter?” Naomi asked sitting on another couch that faced her.

“He is dying and I think he needs your blood” She said and Naomi frowned.

“What?”

“Well apparently, Toby needs the blood of his mate to heal his wound or else he’ll die” Nikita paused as her heart shattered.. “Mine didn’t work”

“And you think mine will?” Naomi asked.

“You’re the only vampiress he had ever slept with…”

“Nonsense…”

“Can you let me finish?” Nikita snapped and Naomi went mute.

“I’m a very close friend to Toby. I know almost everything about him. He always act impulsive just to save the ones he love. He had made many mistakes that got him thinking hard. I like him.. I like him a lot, way more than you think and wish to be him mate but I guess everything happens for a reason. I heard him one night whispering your name. He act like he h@ťěs you but he don’t. And also he tried to act like he like that friend of his too. He just h@ťěs the fact that you are a cold, heartless woman who treats her daughter like $h|t…”

“Watch the way you address me..” Naomi stood and approach her.

“What? Are you going to slash my neck for spilling out the truth?” Nikita asked.

“What made you think, I feel the same way he did?”

“But I’m a vampiress like you. Pure blood too and I know when someone is pretending to be something else. The Naomi I know never shudder or care about anything people says about her but when Toby challenged you.. I saw something I’ve never seen in your eyes ever before…”

“What?” Naomi asked, her expression changing.

“Guilt” Nikita responding.

Naomi jaw clinched. Of course she felt that and she h@ťě to admit it. ‘f-__-k me’ she said inwardly. Toby had made her feel things she h@ťě to admit.

Like his little woman, his word and touch made her greedy.

“I also know the fact that you are the one who sent the maid to led me to him. I know since the past hours, you’ve been trying so hard not check on him. How about you bury that Ɓîtçh @zz self of yours and go to save him” Nikita plead and Naomi swallowed.

“Let me go bastards!!” Kali yelled as they pushed her into the car.

They are taking her to Sebastian. Otis himself.

Darko knowingly sent him, since he is the strongest guard he knows. He also knows how strong Kali is.

She might be a hundred and twenty one years old but she is a hella strong.

Darko trained her and she is a fast learner.

Throughout the ride she was crying profusely. She h@ťěd this. She doesn’t want to marry, she wants just want to be with Jasper.

Thinking of that name, she cried the more.

She badly wish, he would show up but that will be a deathwish for him. Shadowbrook is no place for him.

She took the necklace with her and stared at it.

‘Be strong for me, you’re my little lovely girlfriend’ She recalled Jasper’s word.

The car suddenly halt and her gaze went forward.

“I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry” A young guy came down from the car, apologizing. Benny.

Otis came down with a hard look. Benny’s car had appeared from nowhere, barely hitting his car and causing just a scratch.

Otis gaze hardened again, realizing it was a human. They even seems to be on their way to the castle.

Kali sighed but then her eyes widened when a figure got down from the car too. She thought she was hallucinating but he was real.

His black hair neat and combed backward, $h00ting out his handsome face.

“Jasper?” She muttered and tried to open the door but it was locked.

Otis grabbed Benny’s neck. “f-__-king humans. So f-__-king annoying!” He spat.

“Please don’t ki|| me” Benny’s whimpered as his recommended glasses fell.

After trying to open it severally, Kali frustratingly hit the car door and it flew out.

“Jasper!!” Kali exclaimed excitedly. The bright smile hidden for a very long time appeared on her face.

“Kali?” Jasper muttered shockingly.

Charlotte also got down and smile. “Hey Kali”

“Charlotte” Kali called.

“Wow she didn’t refer us as humans. She even know my name” Charlotte chuckled.

“Of course, you’re my friend” Kali said and returned her gaze to Jasper affectionately.

Otis groan of annoyance, bought them back to reality. He was still holding Benny.

“Hey your royal majesty. Please pardon my friend and we’ll pay for your car” Charlotte said and Otis grumbled.

He pushed Benny to floor and Charlotte immediately help him up.

“Leave before I change my mind” Otis said and shot Kali a glare, obviously not please on how she destroyed the door.

“Get in” He ordered and Kali shuddered in fear.

Jasper and Charlotte noticed this and frowned.

“May I ask where you are taking her?” Jasper inquired boldly and Otis almost laughed at his bold gesture.

He approached Jasper with a cold glare.

“I said leave” He warn coldly.

“Not until you tell me where you are taking her” Jasper said.

Otis smirked. It won’t take him a minute ki||ing these three little humans but he decide to answer anyway.

“She would be a Lord’s wife soon. Do you have any problem with that?” Otis asked.

Jasper frowned hard casting a glance over Kali. She shook her head not wanting to leave.

“Actually…” Jasper returned his gaze back to Otis. “I do have a problem with that”

“What?” Otis raised a brow.

“Kali is my girlfriend. She can’t be anybody’s wife” Jasper raised his chin.

The hell?!!

Otis grabbed Jasper but the neck with the aim of ki||ing him but Kali reacted.

In the next moment, Otis was smashed to the floor by Kali, creating a huge crack to the road.

Her fangs and claws enlogated..

“Don’t you f-__-king touch my boyfriend!!” Kali roared, raising her claws to air…

Immediately Naomi’s blood touched Toby’s tongue, his fangs immediately sank onto her flesh.

Naomi didn’t yelp, Instead, she stayed still and blankly watch Toby drew out blood.

Moira exchanged a look with Nikita. She never thought her friend will manage to bring the cold hearted she-devil here.

Shockingly, Toby’s skin began to turn normal, his wounds closing and he began to breath well.

“Holy $h|t” Moira muttered in disbelief.

Nikita eyes teared up as she felt her chest tightened. Maybe this is how fate wants it.

Toby gasped and began to breath hard. His red eyes shone brighter as the met with Naomi.

Relief and gladness washed over Naomi. He made it.

Not being able to take the scene, Nikita turned to leave the room while Toby and Naomi stared at each other.

Amelia couldn’t move. It was as if she was paralyzed from head to toe.

The part of her move was just her eyes blinking, nose breathing and lips.

The large gates opened and Darko stepped in with a smirk.

“How are you doing witch?” He asked curtly.

“f-__-k you” She muttered. Seeing the smile on his lips, she knew the man must have done something.

“What have done to him?” She asked.

“He going rampage” Darko smirked. “He is deep in the woods, and once his eyes opens, he’ll lost mind and senses. Every single thing will be like a thr_@t to him. I’ve gathered many army that I had prepared for a very long time. Even Sebastian will also send his after receiving Kali as his wife..” Darko chuckled.

“Oh no” Amelia eyes widened.

“The news that he has gone crazy would bring fear to Shadowbrook and every single vampire would want to ki|| him….”

“You won’t get away with this!” Amelia began to cry. She tried moving her body but not avail.

“Oh I already did sweetheart” Darko smiled. He bought out a potion. It was green, glittering like stars.

“Guess what it is” Darko gestured but Amelia stared at it with shock.

“Poison?” She guessed right.

“A special one that would can ki|| a rampage powerful vampire and it would go directly into Zarek’s heart after he wakes. I couldn’t ki|| him directly since the court never agreed to it. But once he goes rampage, they’ll agree since he’s a thr_@t”

“You motherf-__-ker!!!” Amelia struggled harder. She needs to save Logan.

Oh heavens!!!!!!

“Don’t waste your energy. You’ll be paralyzed for three days. I know the fact that you had lost your power. I couldn’t smell that Lyra scent on you any more. She left, didn’t she?” Darko chuckled and realization hit Amelia.

“There’s another witch in the castle” Her eyes widened like that of the moon.

The shadow Nikita had seen in her father’s room wasn’t a old lady but a witch wearing a black cloak. She was helping Darko and the Duke with everything.

The moment Amelia had stepped into the castle, she had sensed and had told Darko. Darko had instructed her to take her powers in which she successfully did.

Just how calculative is the devil.. named Darko!!!

“You’re an @$$h0le” Amelia muttered.

“Thanks for the compliment” Darko spun around leaving the room.

“Prepare to be burnt before the court witch!”

His said and his laughter followed.

“Lyra!!!!” Amelia yelled on the floor.

“Please, I need to save him. He can’t die like this. Lyra!!!!”

Amelia cried for minutes. She tried moving again but no avail.

Is this how it ends. She had promised her mother, she would return safe and sound but he she is, lying like a helpless girl.

She won’t get to see her friends and family again.

“I’m sorry Logan” she muttered, closing her eyes as more tears streamed down her face.

Her memories with Logan flooded in. She wants to hold him one last time at least. She want to kiss him and tell him sweet words and how much she love him.

She want to be the one dying tonight instead.. and make him live.

She badly wants to save him and that struck out something.

A streak of sensation surged into her and her eyes widened. It was familiar and she badly wish it wasn’t her thought.

Her hand moved same with her body and she slowly smiled.

“Hey.. what’s up Amelia” She heard the familiar voice in her head and laughed in disbelief.

“Old friend. I swear if I could get to touch you, I would have smack your head” Amelia said and they both laughed.

“Your strong connection and desire woke me up. I’m glad I’m back” Lyra said.

“Me too”

A guard came to check on her. Darko had sent him to bring her to him…

Seeing Amelia on her feet, he was shock.

“So long suckers” Amelia mumbled and immediately vanish.

The guard cursed under his breath and ran out..

The witch has escaped!!
