(•RIP MR. FALLON•)

“What did you say?” Newton asked, stunned.

“You both share the same father, Newton,” Dorothy repeated, tears escaping her eyes.

_______

“But how?. “Newton asked.

HOW IT ALL STARTED°°

Luke Moore was the most handsome man in Washington D.C., the richest and youngest man in town. Girls would bow at his sight, as his handsomeness was to die for.

However, there was one thing standing in his way: he needed a wife and an heir for the Moore conglomerate.

One day, as he was driving, Luke saw Dorothy walking alone on the road. He stopped his car and lowered the window.

“Hello, beautiful,” Luke said, and Dorothy turned to face him.

“Are you going my way?” he asked, to which she nodded.

“Then get in,” he said with an attractive smile, and Dorothy smiled back.

“So, where do you live?” he asked.

“Queen Villa,” Dorothy said, and Luke smiled. A few minutes later, he pulled his car in front of Queen Villa.

“Can I get your number?” Luke asked, pushing his luck.

Feeling pressured, Dorothy gave him her friend’s number instead, thinking that would deter him. She entered her friend’s number into his phone.

“I’ll call you tonight,” he promised, and Dorothy nodded, exiting his car and entering her room.

She saw Clara slurping some noodles. Clara was more than just a friend; she was like a sister.

“Guess what?” Dorothy said, running to hug Clara.

“What?” Clara asked.

“I just got you a boyfriend,” Dorothy said, grinning.

“But I didn’t ask you to. I love being single,” Clara protested.

“You should show appreciation for what I did. I gave him your number,” Dorothy insisted.

“But…” Clara started.

“He’s going to call you any minute now,” Dorothy said. And just then, Clara’s phone started to ring.

“It’s him. Pick up,” Dorothy urged, and Clara looked at her skeptically, but Dorothy nodded in assurance.

Clara answered the call, and that very day, she and Luke started to grow close. He called her every single day and sent her gifts.

Just when Luke thought everything was perfect, he realized he wasn’t calling Dorothy all this while, but her best friend, Clara. Heartbroken, he eventually understood that he had fallen in love with Clara.

He forgave her, and they got married. Two years later, Clara gave birth to their son, Newton. Just when life seemed perfect, Dorothy reappeared.

Over the past few years, Dorothy had assumed Luke was a kidnapper, so she had given Clara Luke’s number, hoping to protect herself.

Now, after learning the truth that he was an owner of a conglomerate, she was determined to get Luke back.

Dorothy came to the mansion one day, and only Luke was home. She hugged him, and he asked, “What are you doing?”

“Can’t you see I love you? It’s always been you I love.” Dorothy replied.

“But I’m married to your sister.” Luke said.

“No, she’s not my sister; she’s my friend,” Dorothy corrected him.

“That doesn’t matter. Remember, I met you, but you gave me her number, and you should live with that,” Luke said, trying to resist her.

“What if…,” she said as she unbuckled his belt, dipped her hand inside his trousers, and touched his ‘monster.’ He was huge.

“I have a son,” Luke reminded her.

“It doesn’t matter,” she said, kissing him passionately.

“What if she found out?” Luke asked, trying to resist.

“Who will tell her? Me? Or you?” she asked, continuing to massage his ‘monster’ and eliciting Mõ@ɲs from Luke.

“We’re going to do this, and no one will ever know.” In the next minute, their clothes were off, and they were sweating, their Mõ@ɲs filling the air.

Clara remained in the dark about their affair, and Dorothy and Luke continued to meet secretly. But one day, Dorothy told Luke she was pregnant with his child.

“Are you sure the baby is mine?” Luke had asked that very day.

Dorothy nodded. She gave birth to Leo, but their affair continued. Clara was still unaware of their secret liaison, which went on for a while.

Seven months had passed since Dorothy and Luke’s illicit affair started, and within that time, Clara had become pregnant with Piper.

Clara arrived home and, rubbing her tummy with a smile, walked to her room, but was shocked to see her best friend and husband having segz.

She screamed, which made Luke stop th-ru_sting.

“What’s going on?” Clara asked, distressed.

“It’s not what you think, please,” Luke pleaded, quickly standing up.

“I found you and my best friend having segz! Dorothy, tell me what this means,” Clara asked, on the verge of tears.

“It’s what it looks like. Luke, it’s time for you to choose: me or her. Who do you love?” Dorothy demanded.

“I’ve always loved my wife. I’m sorry,” Luke said, trying to reach out to Clara.

“Don’t touch me!” Clara shouted, running downstairs. Luke chased after her.

Dorothy stood there, shocked.

“Did he really choose her over me?” she thought to herself. She hurried after them but lost her balance on the stairs.

Her hand accidentally pushed Luke, causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor. Blood oozed from the wound.

Clara turned and rushed to his side.

“Luke!” she cried, shaking him. But he didn’t stir. She checked his pulse, but there was no heartbeat.

“What?!” Clara exclaimed, tears spilling from her eyes.

“Luke, I’m sorry if I reacted too harshly. I’m sorry, but you can’t leave me and our children alone in this world. Please, Luke,” she pleaded, turning to see Dorothy, who was shaking with fear.

“I didn’t ki|| him, I swear,” Dorothy said, her voice trembling.

“You ki||ed my husband!” Clara shouted, but just then a sharp pain hit her hard. Her water broke—she was going into labor.

Dorothy watched, amazed as Clara started pushing the baby out.

“Ahhhhhh!” Clara screamed as sweat covered her body. With no medical assistance, she gave birth, and as soon as Piper was out, Clara passed away, giving birth prematurely.

Luke, who had only lost consciousness, finally regained his composure.

That day was the unluckiest day of his life; he lost his precious gem, his wife.

Over the months, Dorothy believed that Luke would eventually come to love her and her son, but she was disappointed as he continued to prefer Clara’s children.

Leo shared his father with the other children, but Dorothy saw that Luke didn’t show Leo the same affection he showed Clara’s children, so she poisoned him, and he died.

After his death, Dorothy discovered that Luke had transferred all his property to Newton.

She was furious, but her lawyer suggested that she should show maternal love to both Newton and Piper, as they might decide to transfer the property to her when they grew up.

Although she showed love to the children on the surface, deep inside, she felt only hatred towards them.

“You ki||ed our dad for a company? How could you be so heartless?” Piper asked, fuming.

“I’m sorry,” Dorothy pleaded.

“Sorry? Will ‘sorry’ bring back the lives we’ve lost? Will it bring our mother back? You’re so selfish, aunt.” Piper shot back.

“I’m sorry. It was the devil’s work. Please forgive me and save my son. Please.” Dorothy begged.

“I’ll do this blood transfusion, but not for your sake, for my mom’s. I know that wherever she is, she wouldn’t want me to refuse to help,” Newton stated.

“I’m sorry,” Dorothy said, still pleading.

“You don’t deserve our forgiveness, you heartless wench,” Piper shouted.

“No wonder she said I was just like her in her youth.” Jarvis smirked and thought to herself.

Newton approached the doctor, who had been silently watching the scene unfold.

“You can run a test to see if my blood group matches his, and if it does, let’s start the blood transfusion,” Newton said. The doctor nodded and set about the necessary tests.

ONE WEEK LATER **

With Newton’s help, the test results showed an astonishing match between Leo’s and Newton’s blood groups.

Leo had made a full recovery, so Newton and Joanna were at the hospital to sign the discharge papers.

“Thank God you’re alright, Leo,” Joanna said.

“It’s all thanks to you,” Leo replied, to which Joanna rolled her eyes.

“Has your mom told you yet?” Joanna asked, referring to Dorothy’s misdeeds.

“What?” Leo asked, puzzled.

“That you and Newton are—” Joanna replied.

“I know already, don’t ask me how I knew because my mother told me when I was growing up.” Loe said.

“And you didn’t think to tell Newton?” Joanna inquired.

“I could’ve told him, but my hatred for him wouldn’t allow me to, i h@ťěd him for stealing my father away from me, but my hatred grew when our dad gave him all the company assets.” Leo said.

“Most importantly, he stole you away from me, I’ve always liked you, ever since that first meeting when you spilled your ice cream on my shirt. I h@ťěd that he was with you first, but now I’m over you.” Leo confessed.

“Sorry about that,” Joanna apologized.

“You don’t need to apologize,I guess I h@ťěd the wrong person because he was the one who saved my life in the end.” Leo replied.

“Don’t you think you should apologize to him?” Joanna suggested.

“I will,” Leo agreed.

“Can we start over again? The first time I met you, I loved you, but now, I want to love you as a friend, not a lover, because I know I can never have you. So will you be my friend?” Leo requested.

“Sure,” Joanna agreed.

At that moment, Newton appeared, having finished signing the discharge papers.

“Four eyes, I think we’re done here. Can we leave?” he asked.

Joanna hesitated.

Leo looked at her and then at Newton.

“I’m sorry,” Leo said.

“I apologize for my feelings toward your wife and for hating you for the wrong reasons. I can’t speak for what my mother has done, but will you forgive me?”He asked.

“I’m not forgiving you because you h@ťěd me, but I’ll forgive you because you liked my wife, so stay away from her. She’s mine.” Newton replied.

Joanna chuckled at Leo’s comment.

“I promise not to look at her again, but can I still be her friend? She is my sister-in-law now, after all.” Leo reassured.

“C’mon here,” Newton said pulling Leo into a hug.

FALLON MANSION**

Angel and Jimmy had just returned from the department store, where they found Mr. Fallon lying on the couch, a skeletal figure of his former self.

Rushing over to him, Angel called out, “Father-in-law!” but he only coughed in response.

“I guess my time has come to leave this world,” Mr. Fallon croaked.

“No, Dad. You might be that annoying father who’s always on my neck, but you can’t leave me like this. I guess I never told you how much I love you. I love you, Dad.” Tears welled in Jimmy’s eyes as he said the word.

“I know your marriage was a deal without feelings attached,” Mr. Fallon said, coughing between words.

“We’re sorry for lying to you.” Angel apologized.

“Who said I’m angry? In fact, I love that he married you. My son brought a real gem to my house, and I’m glad I got to see my daughter-in-law before I die.” Mr. Fallon said.

“But you have to promise me that you will turn this marriage into a real, loving one, from a deal to love you. Can you do that? Promise me.” Mr. Fallon added.

“Dad…” Jimmy replied.

“You have to promise me,” Mr. Fallon pleaded, and Jimmy took his hand.

“We promise,” they both said in unison, but as the words left their mouths, Mr. Fallon’s hand dropped lifelessly onto Jimmy’s.
