“I know that look on your faces, so I’ve prepared the paperwork for a contract marriage,” Mr. Fallon said, producing a thick stack of papers from his desk.
Their eyes went wide, and they both jumped to their feet.
“What?” she asked, confused.
“What?” he echoed, his brow furrowed.
Angel looked at Jimmy, who also had a shocked expression on his face.
“Dad, give us a few minutes. I have to tell her something,” Jimmy said, addressing Mr. Fallon.
“What’s there to talk about? Just agree to this already,” Mr. Fallon replied, growing impatient.
“We’ll be right back,” Jimmy said as he took Angel’s hand and led her to his room.
He locked the door and turned to face Angel.
“So what was all that about? The whole contract thing? What does it mean? You know this isn’t what we bargained for. You only asked me to be your fake girlfriend, not to sign a marriage contract.”Angel said.
“I didn’t know about my father’s scheming plan either,” Jimmy said.
Angel walked to the bedside table and grabbed a glass of water, draining it in one go.
“So how are we going to get through this? You don’t expect me to sign that marriage contract, do you?” Angel asked, her voice cracking slightly.
“We can’t go back to square one. My father already loves you. I don’t want to break his heart – he’s going to die in a month, so why don’t you just sign the contract, and then we’ll file for divorce when he dies,” Jimmy said.
“You think marriage is a joke, but let me burst your bubble. Marriage is a commitment between two people.” Angel snapped.
“It won’t be real. It will just be a fake thing – everyone, including my dad, would think it’s real, but between us, it will be fake,” Jimmy said.
“No, I can’t agree to this,” Angel replied.
“Please, for my dying father’s sake, accept the marriage contract, he’s the only one I have left in this world, and when he’s gone, I’ll be all alone. Please, just do it for me.” Jimmy said.
Angel looked at him for a long moment.
“It won’t be real, right?” She said.
“It won’t be real, I promise,” Jimmy replied.
“Then I’ll sign it.”Angel muttered.
“Thank you,” Jimmy said, relief flooding through him.
“It’s nothing,” Angel said, shrugging it off. They both walked downstairs, where Mr. Fallon was sitting, sipping wine from a glass.
“Have you two finished your discussion?” he asked as they approached.
They nodded.
“Sign it,” Mr. Fallon said.
Jimmy took a pen and signed his name. Angel’s heart was pounding in her chest, but she took the pen and signed her name too.
“Congratulations, you’re now husband and wife,” Mr. Fallon said with a wide smile.
“Now, I hope you two will start preparing to give me some grandchildren,” Mr. Fallon teased. Angel couldn’t help but chuckle.
“One more thing,” Mr. Fallon said, pulling out a sparkling diamond ring from his pocket.
“You must exchange rings.”Mr.Fallon muttered
Jimmy put the ring on Angel’s finger, and Angel did the same for him.
“Congratulations once again,” Mr. Fallon said, hugging them both.

NEWTON MANSION**
Newton’s lips trailed up her neck, leaving wet kisses behind. His shirt was now drenched from the running shower.
He turned her around to face him and kissed her passionately, their lips locking together.
Joanna’s eyes widened for a moment, frozen in shock. But then, she relaxed and leaned into the kiss.
Newton pulled her closer, and their kiss deepened. It was as if they were hungry for each other, their passion and affection mixing with the fire of the moment.
They continued to kiss, their tongues swirling around each other’s mouths. Their bodies were pressed together, moving rhythmically.
But then, Joanna abruptly broke the kiss, pushing him off gently.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t thinking,” he apologized immediately.
“It’s okay, it’s bound to happen between couples,” she said, her eyes avoiding his.
“You should change out of your wet clothes or you’ll catch a cold,” Newton said, walking out of the bathroom.
Joanna quickly changed into a fresh pair of clothes and dried her hair with a machine. She got into bed, unable to sleep as she kept thinking about what happened between her and Newton.
Joanna closed her eyes, a smile spreading across her face as she replayed the kiss over and over in her mind.
Newton was having a similar experience. He had changed into dry clothes, but couldn’t bring himself to sleep. The memory of their kiss was stuck in his mind, refusing to fade away.
He had been worried about Joanna all day long, wondering why she had been in the shower for so long.
“What if she’s cold? What if she’s uncomfortable?” he worried, tossing and turning in his bed, trying in vain to get comfortable. No matter what he did, he couldn’t stop thinking about her.
“Am I going crazy?” he wondered aloud, closing his eyes. But when he did, all he saw was Joanna.

NEXT MORNING•• MOORE MANSION**
The sound of her alarm ringing woke Piper up. She’d been enjoying the best sleep she’d had in ages, and a small smile played on her lips as she remembered last night.
Kiss had stayed with her through the night, not wanting to leave her alone.
Piper checked the time and went to wash up. She came out, her hair up in a bun, and put on a big T-shirt before leaving her room.
She entered the dining room, Piper saw her aunt, Dorothy, setting the table with breakfast.
“Good morning, Aunt,” Piper greeted her, but her aunt didn’t respond.
Piper didn’t know what was wrong with her aunt lately, but she intended to find out.
“Aunt, I haven’t seen Leo. Where is he?” Piper asked.
“He went on a three-day business trip,” Dorothy finally replied. Piper smiled in relief.
At least her aunt was finally responding to her.
Piper took a bite of the toast and a sip of warm coffee.
Just then, Kiss walked in, and Piper’s smile widened as she saw him. She took his hand and led him to her room, closing the door behind them.
“I’ve missed you,” she said, hugging him tightly. He hugged her back, a smile on his face.
“Piper!” Kiss said, smiling and turning to her, holding her by the waist.
“Good morning,” Piper said, returning his smile and leaning in to kiss him slowly.
“Morning, Cutie doll ,” he replied, and Piper blushed.
“So, I’m a Cutie doll now?” she asked.
“Of course! Cutie doll,” he said, and her smile widened.
“I didn’t know you could be so romantic. You’re usually so quiet,” she said, touching his hair.
“I’m trying to be the best boyfriend you could ever ask for. What do you think?” he said, picking her up and sitting her on the table, placing a small kiss on her forehead.
“Kiss me,” she said, pouting. He held her face in his hands and pressed his lips against hers.
Her lips tasted like honey, coated in sweetness. It was delicious, that she ran her hands through his hair as they shared a deep, passionate kiss.

FALLON MANSION**
Angel woke from her nap and stretched her arms. She sat up on the king-sized bed and looked around, studying the room. It was almost as big as, if not bigger than, her own house, but that wasn’t what she was focused on.
She got out of bed and headed to the bathroom, but paused in the doorway to admire the luxurious decor. The bathroom was sparkling clean and bright.
The bathroom was so clean that she could have fallen asleep there, had she not needed to get back to her room. She stripped off her clothes and got in the shower, enjoying the warm water.
Once she was done, she wrapped a bathrobe around herself and walked to her wardrobe. She then remembered that she’d arrived empty-handed, without any of her belongings.
Right on cue, there was a knock on the door.
“Mrs. Fallon?” a voice said from the other side of the door.
“I’m here to give you your clothes,” the voice said. Angel opened the door, and saw a tall, handsome man holding a bag.
“Uh, Sir asked me to give you this,” the man said.
“Thank you,” Angel replied, taking the bag.
“I’ll be going now,” the man said, turning to leave.
“Wait for me,” Angel said, closing the door to get dressed.
A few minutes later, Angel had changed and was ready to go.
“Did Jimmy leave for work?” she asked the man who had been waiting for her.
“Yes, he left quite early,” he replied.
“What about Mr. Fallon?” she asked.
“He’s still asleep,” the man said.
“I’m getting bored. Can you give me a tour of the mansion?” she asked.
“After you,” he replied, gesturing for her to walked.

NEWTON MANSION**
Newton hadn’t gone to work that day. Instead, he had decided to stay home and work from there. He sat on the couch, engrossed in typing on his laptop.
Suddenly, Joanna approached him with a cup of coffee.
“I figured you’d need this,” she said, smiling. Newton looked up from his laptop and took the cup from her. He took a sip and nodded approvingly.
“I’ll gladly be your secretary for the day,” Joanna said, jokingly.
“Really?” he said, a smirk playing on his lips. Joanna nodded.
“I forgot a file in my bedroom. Can you go get it for me?” he asked.
“Sure, boss,” she replied, and quickly went upstairs to his room. She found the file and went back downstairs.
“Here it is, boss,” she said, handing the file to him. As she turned to leave, Newton pulled her down into his lap.
“Give me a kiss,” he said. Joanna looked at him and gave him a peck on the cheek.
They locked eyes, gazing at each other as if their lives depended on it.
“Just one kiss?” Newton asked. He pulled Joanna to the chair and straddled her, hovering over her.
“What if I want to do something more than a kiss?” he said, his hand lightly trailing up her arm.
Joanna was too stunned to speak. Her eyes widened and her heart raced in her chest.
“I’ll take your silence as a yes,” he said. And then, he kissed her, his lips crushing against hers. Joanna didn’t know when she started kissing him back, her body reacting to his in a way she didn’t know was possible.
Newton was kissing her so passionately that his hand landed on her backside and gave it a light squeeze. Her body tingled at his touch.
They were breathing heavily but neither of them wanted to stop. Sparks were flying, igniting from the kiss.
Joanna’s strapless gown was making it easy for Newton to untie the strings and he started leaving wet kisses down her neck. He was just about to pull down the dress completely when the doorbell rang, forcing them to break apart.
Joanna was breathing heavily. Her lips were swollen from their kiss. Newton was breathing just as hard.
“I’ll go and see who it is,” Joanna said, rushing to pull up the straps of her dress. When she opened the door, she was shocked to see who was standing there. She could feel her legs start to tremble.
“What’s up, Sisto?” the person said, and Joanna felt like her soul was leaving her body.
Her dream had come true. Her prediction had come true. She stared at her sister, standing there.
Jarvis was back? Was she going to steal Newton away from her? These thoughts raced through her mind.
