(LIPS TOUCH)

MIKEL APARTMENT**

Angel got out of the cab and walked inside. She reached into her bag for the key and unlocked the door. She went inside.

Mikel wasn’t in the living room. She walked to his room. Angel wanted to knock on the door, but she paused.

“This will be a surprise for him since he hasn’t picked up my calls,” Angel thought. She opened the door and was shocked.

Her boyfriend was busy ramming a girl. His Ç0çƙ was th-ru_sting in and out of her.

“Mah gawd,” the girl Mõ@ɲed. Mikel was about to th-ru_st into her again when he noticed another presence in the room. He looked up and saw Angel. Tears were rolling down her cheeks.

“Mikel,” she said. He stopped, and the girl smirked evilly.

“Is this what you’ve been doing? That’s why you haven’t been picking up my calls? Huh? I called you, but you didn’t answer,” she screamed, and he gave her a casual look.

“Is your love for me fake? Were your promises fake? How can you be so heartless to cheat on me?” she demanded.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

“Sorry for what, exactly? Are you telling me you’re sorry? Will that bring back the time I wasted on you? I only agreed to that deal because he promised to treat you. Is this how you’re going to repay me? No wonder you and Aunt Clara didn’t even ask how I got the money to treat you. You didn’t care,” she said, then began hitting him hard on his chest.

“Angel,” he called.

“Don’t call me that. I don’t want to hear my name come out of that lying mouth of yours,” she said.

“It was because of this slutty girl that you had an argument with me. I called you, but you didn’t pick up. You didn’t even bother to ask how I was caring. Tell me, why did you do this?” she demanded.

“I’m sorry, but I’ve fallen out of love with you. Let’s break up. I don’t have peace with you anymore,” he said.

“What?” she asked, in shock.

“I’m tired of this relationship. I need a break from all of this,” he added.

“W-what?” Her voice cracked.

“Don’t bother calling me. I won’t pick up. I pray you find your Mr. Right. I’m done. Just leave,” he said.

“Are you asking me to leave?” she asked, shocked.

“Yes,” the girl finally spoke. She walked to Angel and grabbed her hand.

“He told you to leave, Ɓîtçh,” she said as she threw Angel out of the house. Then she turned to Mikel.

“Let’s get down to business, you little boy,” she said, her eyes glinting.

Meanwhile, Angel kept running. Her hair was tattered, and she was wearing nothing but her slip-on. She suddenly bumped into someone, and before she knew what was happening, she was hugging him.

“He broke up with me. How could he do that after everything I did for him? I h@ťě him,” Angel said as she clutched Jimmy’s shirt even tighter.

He had actually come for a business meeting, but then he bumped into her.

“Cry all you want, Angel. My shoulder is a safe place,” he said and hugged her back.

S•K•J HIGH SCHOOL**

‘She lost consciousness and collapsed’

___

Kiss got to his classroom, but he didn’t know why he felt nervous. There was this crazy feeling building up inside him. Why was he suddenly feeling nervous?

He touched his heart and felt it beating rapidly. Suddenly, he realized that he hadn’t given Piper the key points for the test. As her tutor, he should have given them to her.

He got up and walked to the location of the test. There were only two minutes left until it would begin.

He reached the exam hall and scanned the room with his eyes. There was no familiar face. Then, he noticed Lovie, who he had seen with Piper at various events.

He walked up to her, and Lovie smiled.

Where’s Piper?” he asked, and Lovie frowned.

“I haven’t seen her. She isn’t here yet,” Lovie said, and Kiss turned around.

“Where could she be?” he wondered.

“The test is about to start, and I don’t want her to miss it,” he thought.

Suddenly, a student rushed in.

“Everyone, sorry to say this, but there is no test today. The invigilator met with an accident, so they will have to postpone it,” the nerdy student said.

🗣️Woah, thank goodness,” one student said.

🗣️I wasn’t prepared, but thank god,” another said.

🗣️Oh no.

Kiss smiled upon hearing the news, but there was still a problem.

“Where’s Piper?” he wondered.

He left the exam hall and walked into the main hall, where he was bumped into by Nelly.

“Hi, senior,” Nelly said.

“Have you seen Piper?” he asked. Nelly frowned. Why would he ask about that old ragged lady when she was standing right in front of him?

“Nah. I think she’s left the school,” Nelly said.

She must have already left the school. There was no need for him to worry.

“Thanks,” he said and left.

“PIPER, PIPER, PIPER. What does he even see in her?” she rolled her eyes.

“If she died in that storeroom, then I could finally be with him,” she thought, and huffed.

Nelly turned and saw Lovie standing there.

“What did you just say?” Lovie asked. Nelly bit her lip.

“Like…Do I owe you any explanation?” Nelly said and walked out.

“Why do I feel like she did something wrong?” Lovie wondered to herself.

***

Kiss was still walking when he almost tripped, but he caught himself. He looked at what almost made him fall.

It was a bracelet, and he recognized it as Piper’s. He looked at where the bracelet was lying and saw that it was pointing toward the storeroom door.

He ran to the door, but it was locked. He started kicking it, but it wouldn’t budge. He stepped back and pushed on it this time.

The door opened, and he was met with darkness. He noticed the light of Piper’s phone and rushed to it. When he arrived, he was shocked to see Piper lying unconscious on the floor.

He rushed to her, picked her up in a bridal style, and carried her to the infirmary.

By then, students were gathered there, gasping at what they saw.

Nelly was also there. She was shocked to see Lovie drawing her to the restroom.

“You did that, right?” Lovie asked.

“What are you talking about?” Nelly asked, confused.

“I know you trapped her in the storage room so she would suffocate and die, right?” Lovie asked.

“I don’t know what you’re saying,” Nelly said.

“I thought she was your friend, our friend?” Lovie asked.

“She stopped being my friend the day I found out she had a crush on my crush. Our friendship ended that day,” Nelly shouted.

“Just pray that nothing happens to her,” Lovie said, and walked out of the restroom.

Nelly bit her lip so hard that it bled.

MOORE GROUP OF COMPANY**

Newton came out of the meeting, exhausted. Joanna still hadn’t called him.

He walked into his office and sat down in his swivel chair. His secretary entered.

“How many schedules do I have left for today?” he asked.

“You still have a meeting with Dr. Wilson at 3 PM,” his secretary said.

“Is that all?” he asked, and she nodded.

“You can leave,” he said, and she walked out. Just as his secretary left, Leo walked in.

“Hey, brother,” Leo said.

“What are you doing here?” Newton asked.

“Don’t I have the right to come see my cousin brother? I have the right to be here since it’s supposed to be my company,” Leo said and sat down.

“This company isn’t even yours to begin with, and I didn’t ask you to sit down,” Newton said.

“Oops, my bad,” Leo said.

“You can leave. I don’t want to see your face. It makes me feel like poking,” he said.

“What if I told you that I’m…” Leo said, but stopped.

“That you’re what?” he asked.

“Nothing,” Leo said, then added, “Why do you like to take everything away from me? Huh? Just why?”

“What do you mean by taking everything from you? What did I take?” Newton yelled.

“You stole something from me, but I found out that we both…” He would have finished his sentence, but he just couldn’t.

He couldn’t let Newton know. He couldn’t let the world know what his mother had done. He had to keep his mother’s secret until his last breath.

“You might not know what you stole from me, but know this: I’ll steal everything from you. I’ll start with your wife,” Leo said.

“What did you just say?” he asked.

“I love your wife. I want her to be mine,” Leo said. Before he could finish his sentence, Newton punched him so hard that blood spilled out.

“What makes you think I’d hand her over to you? Do you think she’s like an exchangeable item that you can trade? Hear yourself! She’s my wife, and I won’t let you lay a finger on her,” Newton said.

“Just watch. I’ll steal her away from you. She’s stolen my heart, and I’ll make her mine,” Leo said, then stood up and left.

Newton ran his hand through his hair.

INFIRMARY**

Piper’s eyes fluttered open, and she looked around. Lovie walked in.

“How’s my baby doing?” she asked, and Piper smiled.

“I’m fine now, but who brought me here?” she asked.

“It was Senior Kiss. He found you in the storeroom,” Lovie said, and Piper smiled.

“Where is he?” Piper asked.

“He had the next class, so he had to leave,” Lovie said.

“Oh,” Piper said.

“But did you know who locked you in there?” Lovie asked.

“All I know is that a junior student asked me to find a necklace her mother had given her. I went to the storeroom to search for it, but I don’t know who locked me in there,” Piper said.

“Are you sure you’d remember the junior student’s face?” Lovie asked.

“I’m sure I’d remember if I saw her,” Piper said.

“That’s good,” Lovie said.

“So where’s Nelly?” Piper asked.

“Nelly has a stomach upset, which is why she hasn’t come to see you,” Lovie lied.

“Is it that serious?” Piper asked.

“It’s not that serious, but she’ll be fine,” Lovie replied.

A RESTAURANT**

“Are you saying he broke up with you because he found out about the deal?” Jimmy asked.

“He said he’d fallen out of love with me. I’m sure that was just an excuse,” Angel said.

“Now that you’re broken up, will the deal be canceled?” Jimmy asked.

“Nah,you’ve helped me, and I’m grateful. I’ll also help you make your father believe that you’ve found the right partner.” Angel said and Jimmy smiled.

Just then, the waiter came and served them their food. There was rice, rolls, and a Ç0çƙtail drink, as well as crab and pasta.

“Thank you,” Angel said to the waiter, and the waiter smiled and left.

“You can eat,” Jimmy said, and she picked up her fork and began eating.

NEWTON MANSION**

Joanna was in her bed, reading a novel as usual. She was now wearing her big glasses, a hoodie top, and cargo pants.

She decided to return all the gifts that Newton had given her.

Just then, she heard a slight knock on the door. She hurried to open it, thinking it was Alison, but was shocked to see Newton.

“W- what are you doing here?” she stammered.

“What do you mean, ‘what am I doing here’? It’s been a whole day since you’ve seen your husband. You didn’t even bother to call. Don’t you miss me?” Newton asked. Joanna went back to her bed and sat down.

“I don’t miss you, okay?” she said, and Newton walked over to her and held her.

“Don’t say that to my face, four eyes,” Newton said.

“I really don’t miss you,” Joanna said, but Newton pulled her closer.

“Say it to my face that you don’t miss me. Tell me to stay away and I’ll gladly do so, four eyes,” Newton said.

Joanna’s heart was pounding in her chest. He was so close to her, so close that she didn’t realize when she pulled his face closer and kissed him.

Newton kissed her back, grabbing her waist possessively.
