(COLLIDED)
Joanna’s eyes widened as she listened to him.
“Make me fall for you.. ” he said, his voice serious and deep as the ocean.
“You must be joking,” Joanna said with a chuckle.
He sighed.
“I’m not joking, help me fall in love with you. Then I’ll stop thinking about all the things your sister did to me.” He muttered, Joanna eyes widened yet again.
“Your sister lied to you as well, just like she lied to me. She asked you to marry me because she had a business proposal to attend to. But what if I told you she lied about that, too?” Newton said.
“What are you trying to say?” Joanna asked, confused.
“I mean that your sister didn’t go on any business trip. She went to New York for fun, and to be with other men. Your sister asked you to marry me because she didn’t want to marry me herself. She wanted to run off and do wh@ťěver she wanted.” Newton added.
Joanna’s eyes went wide with shock. “Are you saying that my sister didn’t want to marry you? And that she just wanted to leave me behind to take care of her responsibilities? I don’t believe you.” Joanna mouthed.
“She only agreed to marry me for my money,” Newton said. Joanna wasn’t shocked to hear that. Her sister was always obsessed with money.
“Why didn’t you tell me that you were the person I was on a date with, and that that was our first meeting?” Newton asked.
“You found that out too?” Joanna asked, surprised.
“You can’t keep this secret forever, four eyes,” Newton said.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Joanna said, trying to shut down the conversation.
“You let your sister use you as a pawn, like you were just a toy to be manipulated. You couldn’t fight for your own rights.” Newton said, sounding frustrated.
“But she’s my sister. What’s a sister supposed to do? She’s not just any sister, she’s my twin sister. My identical sister. My look-alike. Tell me, what was I supposed to do?” Joanna asked, her eyes watering.
Newton walked up to her and began gently stroking her hair.
“You don’t have to worry, four eyes, now that I’m your husband, I won’t stand by and let anyone belittle you.” Newton said.
Joanna hugged him. Newton was taken aback at first, but then returned the hug.

ONE WEEK LATER◠◠ CLUBHOUSE**
“What’s keeping that dude, waiting?” Jimmy asked Flynn, who was busy fiddling with his phone.
“You know the kind of person you made your friend. He’s always fashionably late.” Flynn looked up from his phone and raised an eyebrow.
Just then, Newton walked into the club, and all the girls’ eyes turned towards him.
Even women with boyfriends couldn’t help but glance at the handsome man who had just entered the club.
“Honey, what are you looking at?” a man said to his girlfriend, who was sitting beside him.
“That guy is so hot,” she replied, oblivious to her boyfriend’s frown.
How could he be right there and she be gawking at another man? He was fuming.
“Even hotter than me?” the man said, his tone bristling with disbelief.
“Of course,” she replied, completely oblivious to the fury she’d just incited in her boyfriend.
In an instant, he was on his feet. He had had enough.
“If you’re so enamored with him, I hope you find your Mr. Right in heaven. This is over,” he said, storming out of the club.
“No, wait! Please don’t leave!” the woman yelled, running after him.
As Newton took a seat next to his friends at a booth, he couldn’t help but grin.
“Do you want to blind all the girls with your good looks?” Flynn asked, smirking.
“What do you mean?” Newton asked, feigning ignorance.
“Come on, dude. Don’t pretend you don’t know all the women in here are staring at you,” Jimmy said.
“I didn’t even notice,” Newton said, still playing dumb.
“But dude, marriage suits you well. It’s only been two weeks since you tied the knot and you’re already looking so fresh,” Jimmy said, snickering.
“Maybe your eyes were blind before. I’ve always been this fresh and dashing,” Newton replied, laughing.
“Who says so?” Flynn asked, feigning disbelief.
“I do,” Newton said with a straight face.
“And if you’re so envious of my appearance, why don’t you find a bride yourself?” Newton asked, smiling slyly.
“Your appearance isn’t something to die for, but if it weren’t for that old man who’s been nagging me to get a bride, I wouldn’t have even considered your request,” Jimmy said, rolling his eyes.
“Hahaha! Father’s boy,” Flynn said, snickering.
“Are you talking about me?” Jimmy asked, feigning hurt.
“Of course, you’re the one who follows your father’s every whim,” Flynn said with a sly grin.
Newton was in stitches from all the hilarity of the situation.
His friends were definitely a handful.

NEWTON MANSION**
“Rice, tomatoes, and noodles, what else do we need?” Joanna asked herself, ticking items off her mental list.
“Hmm,” she thought, considering the situation.
“Onions!” she exclaimed, writing it down. She looked up and saw Alison staring at her.
“Can I come with you to the market? I’m bored and if you leave now, I’ll have no one to talk to. Newton is really ki||ing me with boredom,” Joanna said, a pout forming on her lips.
“Absolutely not, you can just read your novels like you usually do.” Alison said, shaking her head.
“But I’ve already read all the novels I have, and I need to get new ones, please, please, please!” Joanna pleaded.
“Master said not to let you go out. What if something like last time happens again, when those thugs tried to assault you?” Alison asked, worry written all over her face.
“That was in the past, and I’m fine now,” Joanna insisted.
“Fine. Go get dressed then,” Alison said, giving in to her pleading.
“Yay!” Joanna exclaimed, clapping her hands like a child.
“That’s why I love you,” she added, planting a kiss on Alison’s cheek before rushing to her room.
Alison couldn’t help but chuckle at Joanna’s child-like demeanor.

S•K•J HIGH SCHOOL**
Kiss loved this part of the school. It was the quietest, which was why he often came here.
He sat on a branch of a tree, his eyes closed as if he was meditating.
Meanwhile, Nelly was walking by when she spotted Kiss. Her heart began to race, as it always did whenever she saw him. A smile crept across her face.
She walked closer to him, stealing a few glances at his face. Then, suddenly, he opened his eyes, his gaze meeting hers.
“What are you doing here?” Kiss asked, jumping down from the tree.
Nelly became nervous. Sweat formed on her knuckles.
She held her neck, continuing to look at him.
“Senior Kiss, um… hmm… I’m Nelly, Piper’s friend,” Nelly started, her words tumbling out of her mouth. Kiss stared at her, his eyes fluttering.
“So I… I’m having a party tonight and I thought… I thought I could invite you, Senior,” Nelly said. She wasn’t even sure what she was saying herself.
“Oh, Piper already invited me,” Kiss replied, sounding casual.
“Did she already invite you?” Nelly asked, and he nodded.
“That’s cool,” Nelly said, though she felt a little deflated.
“Well, I should be going now,” Kiss said, heading off in the other direction.
Yes!! She’d done it! She’d talked to Kiss for the first time.
“Hey, Nelly!” a voice called, startling her.
“Woah! Lovie! You scared me,” Nelly said, breathing out in relief.
“Wasn’t that Senior Kiss you were talking to?” Lovie asked.
“So?” Nelly said, shrugging.
“But don’t you know… about him and Piper?” Lovie said, but Nelly cut her off.
“I don’t care, okay? Just drop it,” Nelly said, walking off and leaving Lovie confused.

MIKEL APARTMENT**
Angel strolled into the apartment with ease, knowing Mikel’s passcode was easy to enter.
“Hey, Mikel! I’m home,” she announced as she walked through the door and into his room.
There he was, drenched in sweat like a Christmas turkey.
“Why are you sweating so much?” Angel asked.
“I was doing some push-ups,” he replied.
“You shouldn’t have overexerted yourself like that, that’s what Dr. Jimmy asked you to rest for, remember?” Angel said, placing a hand in his arm.
“I’m fine,” Mikel said, a bit louder than he’d intended.
Angel jumped back, startled. This was unlike the Mikel she knew, who would never raise his voice at her.
Tears began to fill her eyes.
“Babe, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap.” He said, inching closer to her.
“I was just so worried about you,” Angel said, brushing away her tears.
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have taken it out on you like that,” Mikel apologized, wiping her tears away from her eyes.
“I brought you something special,” Angel said, pulling a gift out of her bag.
“Thank you,you know how much I love you, right?” Mikel said, taking the gift.
“I love you five more. ” Angel said with a smile.

A MARKET**
The market was bustling with activity. People were coming and going, and the stalls were packed. The market was so crowded that it was hard to walk through it.
“You didn’t tell me the market would be this busy,” Joanna said, ducking her head to avoid getting bumped by a passerby.
“It’s like this every day,” Alison said, finally reaching the fruit stall.
“Should I get these apples?” she asked, pointing to a pile of them.
Joanna nodded.
“I’ll do the shopping while you go to the ice cream section. I’ll meet you there.” Alison said.
Joanna nodded and made her way through the bustling crowd.
“Can I get two ice creams, please?” Joanna asked the ice cream vendor, who nodded in response.
“What flavor would you like?” the ice cream vendor asked.
“I’ll have vanilla with strawberry swirl, please,” Joanna said, and the vendor nodded, serving the treat exactly as she’d requested.
She paid for her ice cream and began to make her way out of the crowded shop when she bumped into someone. The ice cream spilled all over the other person’s clothes.
“I’m so sorry, I’m really sorry,” Joanna said, looking up at the man she’d bumped into.
She couldn’t deny that he was handsome. In fact, he was strikingly attractive.
Joanna reached into her pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. She began wiping the ice cream from his shirt.
As she did, the man’s smile widened. His heart fluttered as her soft fingers brushed against him.
As she wiped the ice cream from his shirt, he couldn’t help but admire her beauty. He could feel his heart skip a beat as he gazed at her delicate features.
In that moment, he could have sworn she was a goddess, standing there before him.
