Maya just looked at him, completely speechless.

Maya’s mind raced as she tried to process her emotions. She didn’t know what to say, didn’t know how to react.

A part of her felt drawn to Antonio’s intensity, but another part felt suffocated by his control.

“Antonio, I…” she began, her voice barely above a whisper.

But he didn’t let her finish. He pulled her close, his eyes burning with a fierce passion. his lips brushed against hers, sending a spark of electricity through her body.

Maya felt her resistance melting away, felt herself getting lost in the depths of his eyes. And in that moment, she knew she was in trouble.

Deep trouble!!!

Was this devil slowly getting attracted to her, she didn’t know maybe she should be happy or sad that she’s gonna be ending this mission soon.

Antonio’s eyes locked onto Maya’s, his gaze burning with intensity.

He stepped closer, his face inches from hers. Maya’s heart raced as she felt the warmth of his breath on her skin. Slowly, Antonio’s lips descended onto hers, his kiss gentle yet passionate.

But Maya didn’t respond.

She didn’t pull away, but she didn’t reciprocate either. She was frozen, unsure of how to react.

He gently broke the kiss and stare at her.

“Uh.. I’m sorry. ” he said and Maya slowly put her hand on her lips, she caressed it.

“Were you jealous? You were acting so overprotective like I’m your girlfriend?. ” she said.

‘Yeah, you’d soon be. ” his mind scream.

“I was caring. ” he said bluntly and went to sit in his bed… Bringing out his laptop.

“Since when did the devil start caring? Huh?. ” Maya asked

Antonio looked at her and did an eye roll.

“The devil I knew is a cold hearted jerk, he watched the world go ablaze with his terrifying smirk on that stone face of his. ” Maya said.

“Is that what you think about me?. ” Antonio asked.

“That’s what the world think about you… Your present alone sent shiver down their spine. ” Maya said and he chuckled..

“Well you don’t know me well. ” he said.

“Then what’re you?? she asked

She was trying to get answers from him but maybe this devil was smarter than her.

“I’m done with you.. Can you leave now ?. ” Antonio asked.

“Says someone that was acting so overprotective a minute ago ” she said.

“Just leave. ” Antonio grunted.

SAME NIGHT*

Speedy and Max held each other hands as they got to her suite and Max slowly let go of her, facing her.. He drew her closer to him and slammed his fûcking lips on her wet lips.

She wrapped her hand on his hair as the kiss go from normal to crazy.. She slowly broke the kiss and they both stare at each other.

“Am gonna miss you. ” she said wrapping her self in his embrace.

“Then you’re always welcome to my suite. ” Max said and she smuggled closer to him.

“I’d have spent the night in your suite but I’m certainly sure that you’re gonna do a lot of naughty things to me so I’d pass tonight cos I’m freaking tired, the date practically consume my whole strength. ” she said.

“I promise not to do naughty things to you. ” he muttered.

“Nah.. I have a lotta gist to give to Crispy.. Bye. ” she said and ran inside her suite locking the door.

Max chuckled and started walking but he saw Pussycat obviously talking to Minnie in the garden.

“She didn’t disturb me like before.. Guess she’s over me now.. Good for that. ” he muttered and walked out from there.

“Didn’t you see Max?? ” Minnie asked and Pussycat rolled her eyes.

“Yeah.. I saw him.. Look I’m trying my best to get over him now so don’t make it so hard for me. ” Pussycat said and Minnie chuckled.

“Interesting.. Well I wasn’t in support of two of you dating in the first place. ” Minnie said.

“I know but I chose not to talk. ” Pussycat whimpered and Minnie looked at her.

“Not like I don’t want the best for you.. I absolutely want the best of you.. But the fact that Max already has a girlfriend and you… ”

“That was in the past now.. Maybe I wasn’t in my right state of mind. ” Pussycat said.

“Glad you’re over him now. ” she mumbled.

Meanwhile Speedy got to her suite and saw Crispy sleeping, she quickly got rid of her clothes and entered the bathroom, she did her business and walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body.

“Look who just got back from a date. ” Crispy said and Speedy rolled her eyes.

“Thought you were sleeping. ” she said.

“How could I.. When the running of the shower practically woke me up. ” Crispy mumbled.

“Then go back to sleep. ” Speedy whispered and Crispy chuckled.

“How could I when you haven’t told me the whole gist about your date ” Crispy said and Speedy blushed.

“Like I knew you would ask for that. ”

“Now tell me.. Go into detail don’t dare missed any. ”

TGIF!! Thank God it’s Friday..

The gang members had been waiting for this moment – partying, partying, partying.

Vinegar and Maya walked inside the training ground. Maya picked up her bow and arrow, then she fired it..

It met the bullseye surprisingly.

“You’ve only been here for two months and you already know how to $h00t an arrow,” Vinegar said.

Maya smiled.

Vinegar picked up the gun and stared at the $h00ting range..

She shot the gun, but it didn’t hit the range.

“Ugh.. Let me show you how it’s done,” Maya blurted out before she knew it, and Vinegar looked at her.

“What did you say?” she asked.

“No, I mean, if you don’t know how to $h00t a gun, let me show you how to fire an arrow.. You know I learned from the best,” Maya said.

She didn’t believe she was about telling Vinegar she wanted to teach her how to $h00t a gun.

“Don’t bother.. I’m a bad learner.. You wouldn’t want to teach a slow learner.. Because you would get frustrated,” Vinegar said.

“I can, I don’t mind,” Maya said, and gave Vinegar the bow, then she picked up an arrow.

“Let’s do this.” She winked.

HOURS LATER, MEETING ROOM*

Everyone was gathered inside the meeting room, seated in their respective seats, waiting for Antonio’s arrival.

“It’s been long since we went on a mission!! I’ve almost forgotten I’m a mafia,” Jerry said.

“Oops,” Spider said beside him, and Vinegar looked at them, rolling her eyes.

Antonio suddenly entered, and everyone fell silent.

“We have a mission this weekend, we need to exchange goods with some men arriving from South Sudan. They are notoriously dangerous, and we must exercise extreme vigilance. Vinegar, you know your role, your team will hack, and you will be our surveillance from here. The rest of you, prepare yourselves in case we need to deploy weapons,” Antonio instructed.

“Yes, Don,” they all chorused.

“And don’t let the upcoming party distract you ! party, but don’t lose your focus,” Antonio said.

Antonio stared at each of them before walking out of the room, bumping into Maya on his way.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, and Maya bit her lips.

“I… uh… got lost, I’ve never been here before.” Maya said.

Antonio looked at her, then rolled his eyes before walking off.

“Gosh, Maya, how could you be so careless?” she said.

“I didn’t even hear anything, I’m sure he’ll start suspecting me now. Oh God.” She used her hand to hit her head, and just then, her head banged, and she screamed out as a memory played in her head.

*You really don’t know who he is, he’s your doom, a monster, a devil, a beast! all the creepy creatures best describe him.”

*I’m not that!”

Sweat covered her body, and she quickly snapped out of it, not wanting to stress her brain any longer.

She walked out from there… But why did Antonio walk out?

Was he annoyed because she described him as that last night?

She didn’t care, because he truly was what she described him as.

And until she brought his head before Emily’s knee, she didn’t mind. He could be annoyed or wh@ťěver.

“It’s been two months or so, but Maya isn’t still done with her mission,” Grayson said.

“What is keeping the mission from ending? I can’t take it anymore,” Grayson added, and Emily looked at him.

“Yeah, I missed my friend here,” July pouted her lips.

“Stop acting like you don’t know what’s going on, the mission could even take six months.” Emily muttered.

“Never! We need to do something about this. Maybe you should send another person to that devil clan and bring Maya back.”

“Hey! You wouldn’t dare tell me what to do just a matter of time! I have this feeling that her mission will be over soon.” Emily muttered.

Grayson ran his hand through his hair.

“You gave Maya an injection, right? Why doesn’t she use it now? Don’t worry, I and the others would take care of the gang.”

“No, I wouldn’t dare put her life at risk, you can go now.” Emily said firmly. ”

Grayson and July walked out of her office, and Emily stopped what he was doing. he remembered how he was coming back from the station that night, when he saw Maya’s body on the floor, blood oozing out from her head.

He stopped the car and walked to her, obviously she was still breathing, and he carried her in his arms to his car.

Instead of driving to his house, he took another route to the hospital… He saved her life that day and had ever looked at her as his own child… The child he didn’t get to have… He couldn’t bear a child, and that led to his wife leaving him.

And when he wanted to send her on the mission, he doubted it, but Maya managed to convince him…

Though it was hard to accept, he later agreed on a second thought. He misses her too.

The night was electric, music pulsating through the crowded room.

Strobe lights flashed, casting colors across the dancing throng, with champagne and perfume hanging heavy in the air.

Friends danced together, their bodies moving in sync.

Speedy’s blonde hair shone like gold, Max’s eyes gleamed with mischief, Crispy’s dark hair bobbed up and down, and Skylar’s red locks flashed like a fire engine.

The music reached its crescendo, blaring through the speakers in Antonio’s room.

Antonio was puffing on his cigar like there was no tomorrow.

Drake suddenly entered, and the heavy smoke was what welcomed him.

“Antonio…” Drake called, and Antonio turned to look at him.

“The party is going on… Aren’t you going to tag along?” Drake asked.

“Have I ever partied with you all?” Antonio asked, his tone sarcastic.

“There’s always a first time, you know,” Drake mumbled.

“I don’t know, I just don’t like that shitty stuff,” Antonio said.

“That dancer girl, I’ve noticed you’re getting attracted to her,” Drake whispered, and Antonio looked at him, his expression unreadable.

“You must be mistaken,” Antonio said, puffing out smoke.

“Well, she’s also attending the party,” Drake said, his eyes glinting with mischief.

“Really?” Antonio asked, his interest piqued.

“Yeah,” Drake replied.

“Let me get dressed… I’ll also be attending,” Antonio muttered, and ran to his bathroom.

They entered, and the music enveloped them, the strobe lights blinding them for a moment.

Antonio spotted Maya, and his eyes locked onto her. She was mesmerizing, her midnight hair falling on her shoulder in curvy locks.

She wore a red-hot dress with shimmery lines, the hem flowery, and her hair was styled with a beautiful pin.

Maya turned to look at him, and she almost choked at how good he looked, his hair dyed complete black and falling in his face.

The black tuxedo suit fit him perfectly, accentuating his abs. She quickly looked away when she saw him staring.

Viper walked to her and smiled.

“You look breathtaking,” Viper muttered, and Maya smiled.

“You don’t look bad yourself.”

“Oh, thanks.”

Suddenly, the lights went off, and the speaker blared through the room.

🔊Maya, can you please step on the stage and show us what you’ve got?”

Maya looked at herself, and just then, the whole room filled with screams.

Maya just stared, dumbfounded.

She couldn’t refuse, and she wondered why she had to come here. The person who did this really got her.

She walked to the stage, sure that Antonio was staring at her with every step she took.

Maya stepped onto the dance floor, her midnight hair flying around her like a dark halo. She closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her, and began to move. Her body swayed to the beat, her hips oscillating like a pendulum.

She spun and twirled, her arms extending like a ballerina’s. Her feet tapped out the rhythm, her heels clicking on the floor.

Antonio was amazed.

If only she could remember him, if only she could remember her lost memory.

He dropped his drink and walked towards her, his drunkenness apparent in his gait.

He was so drunk.

He grabbed her hand, and Maya widened her eyes in surprise.

They walked out of the hall, and all eyes widened in shock, mouths agape.

Antonio finally reached his suite, and they both entered!!he locked the door afterward.

“I want to punish you so badly for not recognizing me, to set your mind wild, maybe you’ll be able to remember me after that. I can’t take it anymore. I just want to bury myself inside you and fûck your d@mn hòle till you release a hot cûm for me.”

Before Maya could process what was happening, Antonio slammed his lips onto hers, lifting her off the ground, her leg entangling with his torso.
