Anita!!! Mr Patterson shouted
“How dare you call my daughter a bîtch, when you are the real burden?? Anita snapped angrily
“Mom” Peace called in shock holding her hurting cheek
Anita gasp realizing what she had done
“Peace am sorry,I never_
” You’ve said your mind already, you don’t need to be sorry” Peace cut in shortly
“Thanks for taking care of me and am sorry for being a burden to you Mrs Patterson” Peace said and gave everyone final glance before leaving
“Peace… Peace” Anita called but Peace ignored her as she kept walking till she was no more in sight
Anita slumped down and burst into tears
“What have I done? She lamented
” So this was it? Paul asked in anger
“I never meant those words Paul,it came out of anger” she replied in tears
” You said what you had on mind so don’t blame it on your anger Anita!! remember this was the same girl who had been your daughter for the past 17 years when we lost our daughter and after we found Veera, she suddenly become a burden to you? Paul scoff before climbing the stairs to his room
“Am really disappointed in you Anita” Bora said disappointedly as Anita kept crying
“am sorry, it’s all my fault” Veera muttered feeling guilty
” Thank God you know it’s your fault” Ethan said angrily
” Ethan” Bora called warningly
” What? It’s the truth, Why is it that she is interested in Peace room despite that there are lot of empty rooms she can move in to”??? Ethan spatted h@ťěfully
” Am really sorry” Veera said feeling bad and Ethan hissed before leaving as well
“Ethan! Ethan! Bora shouted running after him
Veera stared at the crying Anita and bend down to her level
“Am sorry Mom” I shouldn’t have move in” she muttered and Anita shakes her head
“It’s not your fault Veera,am the bad one here” Anita replied and wiped her tears before standing up
“I’ll be in my room, you can ask one of the maid to take you around the compound” Anita said and without waiting for Veera’s reply, she left
Veera stared at Anita’s back as she climbed the stairs,the pitiful expression on her face turns into a grin
” Little by little,I will take all what belongs to me from you Peace, this is just a tip of iceberg” she thought with a mischievous smile
