After everything, the husband and wife to be, went their lodge. Kim asked Amber to spend a night here, she declined and came up some business meeting and all that, Kim had to let her go.

Amber returned home very late, she went to her room and saw her mom sitting on her. She walked pass her and went to bathroom.

Some minutes later, she came back to the room. She was still there, “Where did you keep your phone? I was calling you.”

“I’m not a kid, ma.” She replied. “Seriously, you should have called. I was worried about you.”

“I’m back, Mrs Adeleke. Can I have some rest, please?” Amber replied, rudely. Helen stood up and left her room, she trying to avoid another quarrel with her daughter.

Kim called Amber to the restaurant and their other friends. She were seated at the VIP room.

You don’t know that guy? The guy last night.” Kim said, staring at her. She shook her negatively. “Ah, you don’t know him. Best, he’s the latest bachelor in town.”

“I was surprised, when I saw you guys together.” Uju said. “I thought, she will even push him away, just like she did to other guys.” Sam said and sip from the glass. “Me too. And he’s hot. Well polite and mannered man. His father is late tho, his dad was the former governor of Osun state.” Stacey said.

“I hope you didn’t push him away, like you always do to other guys?” Sam asked, Kim sighed softly.

“Guys please, let’s talk about something else. How’s the birthday going to be? Where are you celebrating your birthday?”

“Uhm, well…I haven’t uhmm, you know. I still thinking about it.” Amber replied. “You know what guys, I think she should forget about it. We are friends and I’m paying for the hotel, wh@ťěver place we’re going to stay.” Uju said

“Drinks and everything on me.” Stacey said. “I will do the cake …” Sam replied, they looked at her. “What? You girls have taking everything nah.” Sam defended.

“You are dragging with her, what about me that haven’t chosen…” She paused and glared at her. “See person wey we dey try plan birthday party for.” Kim mumbled.

“You know, she’s celebrating her 25th birthday. She thinking about her single life..” Uju muttered and chuckled.

“It’s not funny guys.” Amber said and rolled her eyes. “So what do you say about the whole thing..”

“Uhm, it’s nice..I have to go now.” Amber said. “And don’t worry, I will pay the bills for everything on the table.”

“Would you mind if I take another bottle of champagne.” Uju said. “I thought you are married, your husband will get you one.”

“Com’on, Amii..” Uju said, in pleading tone. “No problem..make an order before I leave.” Amber said and Uju called the waiter, she told him what she wants, some minutes later he came back with it.

Amber paid for everything, before leaving the restaurant. Yeah, no matter how hurtful their words is, they’re still her friends. She can’t just push them away, because of their words.

Kunle sat on the sofa, drinking when his friend Femi came in of course he is expecting him. “What’s up bro?” Femi said, as they exchange pleasant

“I’m cool, bro. And you.” Kunle replied as he pat his back. “What about your fianceé, you didn’t come with her.”

“She went out with her friends.” Femi replied. “Oh, okay. So what’s up? What do you care for? Whiskey. Vodka. Champagne. Omo anything you want I dey..” Kunle said, smiling.

“Whiskey..” He replied and Kunle called the maid, he messaged her and it wasn’t up to two minutes, she came with the stuff and glasses. Kunle poured the drinks and they cheers and sip from it.

“So what’s up? Mom called me the other day. She was pouring congratulations and prayers on me..”

“Because you’re getting married nah. You supposed know Momsy nah.” Kunle replied and sip from the glass.

“I know. And she was talking about you. Kunle she wants you to get a woman and settle down. Com’on nah, I want you to get married immediately after mine.”

“You and I know that, am no longer interested in all these girls. My last relationship ended in a way I never expected.”

“Ehn, but that was four years ago. You’re still keeping it.” Femi replied. “I’m making money, so that there won’t be problems.”

“Problems ke? You dey whine me abii? I know you’re trying to cover up this conversation, but not now.”

“What do you think about that lady? The one I met at your bachelor party last night.”

“She’s good, very good and well behaved lady. She is Kim’s friends, childhood friend.”

“Wow, it’s been long.” Kunle said, smiling. “Yeah, Kim was saying that her birthday party is coming up soon. And it’s after our wedding, something like that. I can’t really tell, women and there stuff.”

Kunle chuckled softly, “So are you interested in her?”

“Ọrẹ, awọn ọmọbirin ti fọ ọkan mi ni ọpọlọpọ igba ati pe eyi ti o kẹhin kan lọ, bii iyẹn. O kan ti re mi.” Kunle said, worriedly.

“Well, I don’t think she’s like one. Kim said that she’s still single. Com’on man up bro, you can do it.”

“I know, you like her. Because all these while, you haven’t talked about any girl. It’s just your work.”

“I will give it a try.” He muttered and sighed softly. “Tomorrow is her dad’s anniversary.”

“Ahh, Baba rẹ ti kú?” Kunle asked, surprised.

“Yeah, five years ago.” Femi said. “Oh, that’s sad. I will come for the anniversary, I hope I will see her and sympathise with her.” Kunle said.

A DAY LATER
Today marks the 5th anniversary of Mr Adeleke, who passed on after a brief illness. Helen and her son, paid respect to him. Other important guests were present, they kept asking about Amber.

Amber place her father’s house on sell, her mother was surprised to the buyers in her house. Amber was talking to them and showing them every corner of the house.

“As you can see it’s big and beautiful house.” Amber said. “Yes, that’s true. How much?”

“It’s going for 30 million naira.” She replied and sighed, smiling. “I’m giving it, a 20.” The young man said.

“Seriously? I can’t even sell it for 29.9 million.” She replied. “What’s last price?”

“It’s 30 million naira only.” She replied, she turned and saw her ranting in anger.

“What’s the meaning of this? Selling off your father’s house. Why? When did you become a monster? Ehn, Mide..”

She only smiled at her, and returned to the gentleman. “Is it going or not?” She asked.
Helen couldn’t take it anymore, she called Derrick and Kim. She told them, what Amber is trying to do.

“It’s too much, I don’t have such amount of money.”

“Alright, make use of the door.” Amber replied and the young man, left. Derrick and Kim saw them leaving, they were talking about the house.

“You want to sell the house? What the fúçk is wrong with you?” Derrick yelled, almost losing it. In fact he has lost it.

“And who gave you the audacity to talk, when am talking with mom.”

“The one you care about? Huh? Don’t do anything stupid Derrick, she’s your elder sister..” His mom cut him off.

“Mommy, please have a sit. I will talk to Amber myself, please. Derrick,
Jọwọ tọju iya. Emi yoo sọrọ si Amber.” Kim mumbled and rushed to Amber.

“Shey you are okay? Why are you trying to sell the house? Are you broke?” Kim asked, looking at her.

“No, you’re not broke. Why trying to sell the house? Today’s your father’s 5th anniversary and you didn’t attend to it. And finally you came back from, somewhere that I can’t even tell.

“Because I h@ťě him. And you know it. You know Kim and she knows it too, I fúçking him that man.

“O dara niwon o korira rẹ. O dara. Ati pe o ro pe tita ile yoo yanju gbogbo iṣoro yii?” Kim asked.

“Well that’s not my business. I will do wh@ťěver I want, not even you can stop me.” Amber said.

“Mama, o n ṣe buburu. Fun mi. Si ọ. Si gbogbo eniyan, o ti yipada pupọ. Eyi kii ṣe Amii ti mo mọ, o ti yipada pupọ. Mom, she is being mean. To me. To you. To everyone, she has changed a lot. This is not the Amii I know, she has changed a lot.”

“I know her when I was still a kid. She loves me so much, she protects and gives me anything I want. But this changes, I don’t really know what do.” He sob, shaking his head negatively.

“Amii, Mide. Please come sit down, maybe I should call auntie Kate or uncle Ken. Family meeting, because this is getting out of hand.” Kim said, Amber sat on the couch.
