2MONTHS AND SOME DAYS LATER
Amy went to the bathroom to clean up herself, she didn’t call her husband because he was laying on the bed, but she didn’t know if he was sleeping or not. She had given him enough problems, with her demanding for food, séx and other stuff, so she wanted to do this one by herself.
She slowly lowered her aßß on the floor and grab the shaving cream and rubbed it on her V, she was about to get the shaving stick when he walked into the bathroom.
“You should have called me.” He said.
“I didn’t want to stress you again.”
“And you want to stress yourself, wait! If you don’t stress me, who will you stress? Com’on, just call me whenever you want to do this, besides I have been the one doing this.” He said and bent down and collected the shaving stick and began to shave her.
She only stared at him and wondering what her life would be, if she was still looking at her past life, of course she might have a change of mind, but won’t get married to this same man.
He is too caring and smart, he doesn’t want to do or see her hurt. “Kunle!” She called, he looked at her.
“Did I cut you?” He asked, she shook her head negatively, he smiled and continued what he is doing.
“Next time, don’t try to do this by yourself. As long as I’m still here with you, I’m not going anywhere tho.” He chuckled.
“So, you’re sticking with me till the end?” She find herself asking him such question, knowing very well that she will get a yes.
“Of course, it’s you I love and I’m not backing off.” He said, smiling and frowned on the question she asked.
“What if I die?” She asked.
“Don’t ever say that, it’s you and I forever.” He said. “What if…Amy stop, don’t ask anymore questions. No what if. Unless, you want to break my heart and make me feel sad.” He said.
“I’m sorry.” She apologized. “It’s okay….” He mumbled and helped her get up, he made her sit in the jacuzzi, he washed her up and carried her to the room, he cleaned up her wet body and get her one of his shirt, but she rejected it.
He thought it was because of what happened in the bathroom, “I need a long gown, I don’t feel like putting on pants anymore, it makes me feel very uncomfortable.”
Kunle nodded and, “Nothing, man no go hear for this life. [There’s nothing a man won’t hear in this life.]” He thought, this pregnancy has opened his eyes and most importantly, he has seen what he will always use to make fun of her.
He went in search for the long gown, he found one and help wore it. She sighed and sat on the bed.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Yeah.” She mumbled, staring at the floor. “You don’t look okay, what’s the matter?” He muttered.
She heaved, “I have passed the Edd, I’m very worried about it. I didn’t want to come up with this conversation, but I don’t want to continue living with it.” She mumbled, while staring at the floor.
He raised her chin and kissed her, “You don’t have to be scared or worried, I came to understand that, since we’re different people, we have different characters and ways of life. What I’m trying to say is that, there are women with different bodies, when it comes to pregnancy.”
“It’s not too late, you told me the other day that you were feeling a little pain on your abdomen, there’s nothing to worry about. When it’s time,you’ll carry your child, I mean our child. I will always pray for you, for safe delivery.” He assured her.
“What have I done to deserve this? This kind of man?” She asked him. “You’ve been through a lot, and you need a man that will take care of you, a man that will stand by you, and encourage you whenever you feel like the whole world is coming to an end. I will always be there for you, Amber.” He said and kissed her forehead.
“Thank you.” She mumbled and smiled.
“Alright, cheer up and don’t think of anything negative. Be positive always, when the negative comes, we are to be encouraged that a positive will also come around.” He said.
“Thank you..” She said.

A day later, Kunle came back from work and couldn’t find his wife in the house, he almost went mad. No call from her.
At least drop a written note.
He place a call across her, and she picked up. “Where are you?” He asked.
“I went..t.t..to get something from the eatery.” She stammered. Knowing very well that she’s lying to him, he asked again.
“Amber, where are you right now?”
“Geez, you’re making me scared.” She mumbled and frowned, he closed his eyes and scratch his forehead, without wasting much time he got into his car and drove off to her office.
She dropped the phone and told Kelly to get the files, so that she could sign them. And make some payment for the workers.
Before she could finish up with the whole thing, Kunle has already arrived with his car, he walked straight to her office. Her eyes opened wide in shock as she saw him standing beside the door.
“Babe!” She called.
He didn’t utter a word, he walked up to her and shut the laptop. He held her hand and without saying a word, she stood up and glared at Kelly who couldn’t help but smile.
“Babe, please just give me some minutes lemme fix something.” She mumbled.
He looked at her, she sighed. “Please, okay. I’m sorry for coming here.” She said, Kelly smiled and, “Awwn…” Escaped her lips, Amber looked at her.
“I will do it.” He said.
“Are you okay with it?” He asked, she nodded and sat down. “You can leave now.” She said to Kelly, she left.
She knows what awaits her, she stood up and ran her hand on his shoulders. “I’m not done, yet.” He said.
“I’m sorry.” She apologized, he glanced at her and said, “Make use of the seat.”
She frown and sat on the couch softly, some minutes later he was done, they left for the house.
“Sit down, I will get you water.” He said and left to bring the water, he brought a glass of water and she glued down everything and kept the cup.
She thanked him—
“Hungry?” He asked. “No.”
“Why?” He asked, looking at her. She became quiet, she doesn’t listen. She will be the first to apologize.
“Because you think that, I’m angry with you for going to the work. “He said, she nodded in response.
“Oh yes!” He replied, she frowned.
“At least you should have called me or drop a written note. I came to and I didn’t find you at home, I almost went mad.” He said.
“I’m sorry, promise not to repeat such thing again.” She mumbled. “It’s okay, so what will eat? I bought something on my way to your work place.” He said..

Amber woke up by 10pm to get water from the fridge, she wanted something cold, she drank a little and headed back to the room. She was breathing heavily, finally she gets to the room.
She was walking to the bed, when a heavy pain hit her. “Ouch!!” She yelled loudly, holding her belly and her waist.
Kunle woke up as he heard her yelling, he tried to hold her but she wasn’t having it.
“Don’t touch me.” She warned, but he didn’t listen. He was about to touch her, when he felt a slap on his cheek as another pain hit her again.
“K…Kunle, my water has broken.” She winced in pain, his eyes fell on her body. He quickly helped her and get her into the car, it was as if he knew something like this will happen. He has already packed up the baby’s stuff. He came to the house to get his phone, and immediately left the house.
Amber keep yelling, and mumbling words that he can hear, the ones that he doesn’t understand.
She rained insults on him and promised never to do anything with him. When he tried calming her down, it was something else, like she doesn’t want him to say a word.
They got to the hospital and she was taken to the ward, with nurses and a male doctor.
He was left alone, walking up and down in the hospital, he prayed silently for safe delivery. Some minutes a nurse came out, he rushed to her.
“Please, how’s my wife doing?”
“Please calm down.” She said, and left but this isn’t the words he wanted to hear. He wanted to know if she’s fine.
He sat down and suddenly stood as the nurse came back, he wanted to ask her another, when she walked in.
He came back to his seat and sat down.

It’s been almost an hour, non of the nurses has come out, he couldn’t bear it anymore. He stood up, and walked closer when he heard a cry of a baby. He prayed that, this baby should be his and his wife is okay.
Twenty minutes later, the doctor came out and congratulated him. “Your wife just delivered a bouncing baby boy.” He said, smiling.
“Oh thank you God.” He said, and tears fell from his eyes. “Can I see her, now? Please.” He said.
“Yes.” He said and left. Kunle happily went to the ward, his eyes caught the baby on the cot, he smiled and touched.
“Welcome to the world, Lil man.” He said, smiling.
He looked at Amy and smiled, her eyes were closed. He touched her and kissed her forehead. “Thank you, babe. I’m sorry for causing this pain.” He said and kissed her forehead.
He sat down for a while and something told him to touch her, that words came to him, the one about leaving him.
“Amy! Amy!! Amy, please answer me. Please don’t do this to me, I can’t take care of this baby alone. We are to live together and forever..”
“Amy! Mide! Amber!” He called, tapping her. He was about to go and call the doctor, when he heard her laughing, he turned and rushed to her.
“Are you okay?” He asked, she nodded and chuckled. “It’s not funny to me.” He said.
“What’s the meaning of that?” He asked. “I’m sorry, my sweet and lovely husband.” She said.
“Don’t ever do this to me, again.” He warned. “Yes, sir.” She said, laughing he joined her.
“He looks so much like you.” He said, looking at her and the baby. “How can you tell that he looks like me, while sleeping?”
“It’s possible.” He said.
“Wow, I’m so happy. I’m now the latest dad in town.” He said, laughing.
