A day later
“Am lossen it. I’m getting fat. I don’t look beautiful.” She said.
“Hey com’on. Don’t say that. You’re perfect like this.” Kunle said.
“Oh please, everyone knows how a pregnant woman looks like. Fat, tired and hungry.” She said.
“You’re beautiful. The most beautiful woman I have ever seen.” He said, smiling.
“Are you hungry now?” He asked, she nods. “Alright, I will make an order. What do you want?”
“Fried chicken and rice.” She said, he nods and pick up his phone and make an order in the hotel.
He stand up and wore his shirt. “Are you going out?” She asked. “I thought we were going to stay here together.” She said, looking at him.
“Yeah. I will be right back.” He said and made his way to the door. “Babe..” She called him. He looked at her. “No kiss?” She asked.
“I’m sorry.” He apologized and kissed her lips. “Please come back on time.” She said and smiled.
“Alright babe.” He replied and left the room.
“I love you.” He said.
“I love you too.” She replied.

SOME DAYS LATER
AT HOME
He served her the meal and make sure that she’s happy. He keep her company and talked about what happened on his way to the hospital, she laughed and slept off on his shoulder. He carried her to the room, he laid her on the bed and was about to leave when she stopped him, by holding his hand, he looked at her surprise and suddenly smile at her.
“What’s up, honey?” He asked.
“Please stay with me.” She said. He smiled and laid beside her on the bed, “Are you sure, that you want to sleep?”
“If you stay here with me, I will. But if you leave no way and I will frustrate you.” She muttered.
“Don’t say that again, it’s scary.” He said. “I’m sorry.” She apologized, he stayed with her until she slept off, even after sleeping he didn’t leave her alone on the bed, he dozed off while laying down.
2HOURS LATER
Amber woke up with another complain of being hungry, Kunle almost get angry, but he controlled himself it’s what he brought upon himself and it’s his child. He went to the kitchen and cooked noodles, thinking that the woman he was cooking it for will eat it.
After cooking, he brought the hot noodles to the room and dropped the tray of the table and opened the meal, she glanced at him and the meal.
“I’m not eating noodles.” She said, looking away. “You just don’t want me, that’s why you brought this to me.” She mumbled, making a sad face.
“Alright, what do you want?” He asked and wonder how someone that was complaining of being fat, is requesting for another meal.
“Thank God, I didn’t say anything about this. She won’t mind keeping malice with me, God knows that I don’t want it.”
“Bean and corn.” She dropped the bombshell. “Ahh! I haven’t cooked it because, how will get the corn?” He almost yelled.
“I don’t know, just get it and cook it. I want you to cook it.” She said. “Babe, request for something else, it will take much time to be served.” He said.
“It’s what I want.” She said, crying. “Alright, alright. I will do as you say.” He said.
“Oh goodness, this woman just want to ki|| me.” He thought and carried the noodles to leave.
“Are you taking the noodles?” She asked, looking at him. “You said that you don’t want it.” He said.
“Please leave it.” She muttered, he kept it back on the table and left. He placed a call across his mom and asked her if he can get corn at first his mom was surprised, like corn for what. Until he told what her daughter in law was craving for, she couldn’t help but laugh. She later sent one of the maid in her house to get the corn, she brought the corn and left.
Since there’s beans, no need of asking for it. He light the stove and boiled the corn and beans on the other side of the stove, while preparing for other things.
40 minutes later
The meal was ready, he carried it to the room. She was busy with her phone, when he came with the meal, she dropped the phone on the bed and smiled as he kept the tray on the table.
“You took a whole lot of time, preparing this meal.” She frowned at him, he smiled and apologized. If only she knew what he went through.
“She’s not even asking, how I got the corn.” He thought and rolled his eyes.
“Did you say something?” She asked, he glanced at her and wondered if she now reads his thoughts.
“No, here.” He said, giving the meal, she collected it with smiles on her face. She shoved a little into her mouth and smiled, nodding her head.
“It’s good.” She recommended. “Thanks, I’m glad you love it.” He said, smiling.
“Easy don’t eat when it’s too hot. It’s very hot.” He said. “Why didn’t you allow it to cold at least before bringing it here. You want to hurt my baby.” She said, using her hand to cover her big belly.
“No, babe. It’s not like that, I thought you will like it this way.” He said, calmly.
“For thinking like that, I’m not hungry anymore.” She frowned and looked away, Kunle placed his hands on his head.
“Ahh, God who send me work? Who asked for talk? I shouldn’t have said a word to her.” He thought, staring at her.
“I’m sorry, babe. I’m sorry, I will feed you and it won’t be hot for you.” He said.
“Okay.” She mumbled and giggles. He wonder if she’s putting up this act, or is the pregnancy.
“This one don pass. [This one is bigger than me].” He thought. After feeding her, she thanked him and finished a glass of water. She kissed him, this calmed him down, and he smiled.
“Aren’t you eating?” She asked, staring at him. “I will eat later.” He said, she nodded and said, “Okay.”
Even if he says that he wants to eat now, she won’t mind joining him. Everyday new food, Amy is making him cook every meal.
He left for the kitchen, to keep the used dishes. He came back to the room, she was still sitting with her phone on her hand, he stayed with her and had a little with her, until she slept off. He lay her properly before leaving the room. He didn’t forget to thank God that she didn’t wake up as he left the room, it would have been another problem.

She rubbed her belly softly, although it was scratching her, but she rubbed it and yawned loudly, Kunle knew that she might be hungry. So without wasting much time, he brought the food.
She smiled at him, “I’m not hungry.” She mumbled.
“So you won’t be hungry now, if I were busy now boom! Hunger will come, headache, K! Come give me massage.” He said, she laughed as she saw the look on his face and the way he demonstrated the whole thing.
“So you want to ki|| me with food?” She asked, and laughed. He smiled and kissed her, he took her soft hands into his and kissed hers.
“You know, you are always requesting for this or that, so I thought that it will be better, that I bring this meal for you.” He said, smiling.
“So, have you eaten?” She asked. “Uhmm….you haven’t, right?” She mumbled, looking at him.
“I ate chips, potatoe chips. Will you like to have a taste?” He asked. “You fried it?” She mumbled.
“Yes, it’s good.” He replied, smiling. “Okay, I wanna have a taste of your sweet potatoe chips.” She wink at him, he smiled and went to the kitchen, he came back with it.
She had a bite and hummed, “It’s delicious, Ahh but I think am eating a lot.” She frowned.
“Com’on, it’s fine. And it’s good that, you’re eating this much because you that I know, when you give birth, you won’t eat at home. Especially, when there’s work in front of you.” He smiled.
“That’s true.” She accepted. “Lemme eat now, please get me more of this.” She mumbled, he brought it.
