A meeting was called, Kunle’s uncles and aunts were in the house, same goes to Amber, Kim told Amber that she won’t be able to come, yeah she was supposed to be here, but because of her condition she couldn’t. Amber understood her and respect her a lot. Food and drinks were served, Simi walked into the house, her mom was happy to see her but she didn’t want to show it, all she has to do is just settle everything. It’s left for Simi to decide if she will still be her mom or not.
“Good evening mom.” She greeted and greeted everyone in the house, they responded to her.
“Mom, I would you to tell her everything. Not as if, I don’t know about this but the mother and it will be better to hear from you.”
“Simi!” Her mom called, staring at her.
FLASH BACK (18 years ago)
“Mom when will get me another baby. I want a baby sister or brother, someone I will fight for.” little Kunle said to his mom. But he never knew that she can’t convince again. That’s what she thought, but the doctor told her that she’s fine. She has been trying to move on, and praying not to lose her husband because she can’t convince again.
“Mom, will you give me one?” He asked, staring at her. She looked at his direction and smiled.
“If I have, I will you.” She said, softly, trying so hard not to cry in the presence of her child.
“What do you mean, if you have?” He asked, he always used to asking questions, his mom smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
“I will give you one, remember there’s a saying that God’s time is the best. You and I will wait for God, whenever he decides to give me and a baby.”
“Dad, will be happy, right?” He asked.
“Yes, of course. He will be happy to see another baby.” His mom replied, smiling.
“I love you, mommy.” He muttered, hugging his mom tightly. “So, today is going to be a good day, concentrate on your studies make sure you don’t look for trouble at school.”
“I’m not troublesome.” He said, and chuckled softly. She glanced at him, he was supposed to say, yes mom.
“Yes, mom. I love you so much.” He said and kissed her, and ran to the car. It drove out of the compound.
She sighed softly, and sat on the couch thinking about what her child said, “God, please make a way for me. Make a way where there’s no way.” She prayed, silently.
“Hi, sweetheart.” Her husband said and kissed her cheek, she fake a smile and wiped her tears softly.
“Hey, I thought you’ve left work already. Kendrick has left for school.” She mumbled.
“Stop hurting yourself, beside I’m not going to work today, I wanna spend time with my lovely wife.” He said.
“That’s good, I wanted to go to the hospital.” She said. “No more hospital, we’ve been going there for almost 8 years but no good results.”
“Besides, the doctor said that we’re okay, medically there’s nothing wrong with us.” He added.
“Let’s not lose hope, let’s continue putting our trust in God. Okay.” He said and hold hand, and rub it softly.
“Thank you, honey.” She replied.
A WEEK LATER
Tricia came back from work and saw a baby laying on the door step, she was surprised, at first she didn’t carry the baby. She went to the security guard and asked him about the baby.
“Madam, I don’t know.” He replied.
“What do you mean by you don’t know? What have you been doing? Who’s baby is this? I’m asking for the third time.”
“Madam, I swear I know no how this pikin take come here. [Madam, I swear I don’t know how this baby came here]”
“You don’t know, because you weren’t here.”
God, please I know that I’ve been looking for a child, but I don’t want problems, I don’t want the mother of this little baby to come take her away from me, she’s an adult. I want someone that will take care of me, and I promise to take take care of him or her and treat him or her as mine.”
“What about the other security guards?” She asked, staring at him. “They are off today.” He replied.
“So, you’re the one here? And you didn’t see anyone bringing this baby here?” She asked.
“No, ma.”
“Did you leave this place?” She asked, looking at him. He began to mumble something that she couldn’t hear, she then understood that it was when he left, that the person brought this baby here. And her son isn’t yet back from school..
“You know you can be fired for this?” She questioned him angrily and left, she carried the baby inside and opened the clothes used to wrapped the baby, she checked on the baby and found out that it’s a girl, she couldn’t hold her excitement, she planted kisses all over the baby.

Her husband came back night, she told him about the whole thing. At first he was surprised and was asking questions on how the baby found its way here. “I’ve come to realize that it’s the Lord’s doing and it’s marvelous in our eyes.”
“I’m so happy and guess what, I have finally gotten the contract.” He said, happily.
“The one you were telling me about?” She asked, surprisingly. “Yes my dear, and before I forget another testimony..I’m running for governorship and I have been keeping it away from you, because I know that you’ll be worried, having all these things happening in the country.”
“I’m so happy for you.” She said, staring at the baby on the bed. “Kendrick is not yet back from school?”
“I think he went to his uncle’s house, he’ll be back tomorrow.” She replied. “When?” He asked.
“I got a call from him, this afternoon. Kunle will be very happy to see her.” She replied, happily.
“But, what if the mother of this little baby comes back and say that she wants her child back.”
This words made her sad, but it is the truth. “I will do my best, to train her in a Godly way and even if her mom comes back to claim her, no problem. I know that she will remember me, for being there for her.” She replied.
“Okay, let’s think positive and think of a better way to bring her up. What’s her name?”
“Hm, She’s so beautiful and she’s special. I will name her Simisola.” Tricia said, smiling.
“Nice name, from a beautiful momma.” Her husband said, smiling.
When Kunle came back and his mom told her about it, he was very happy and thank God for answering his prayers. He would stay awake all night, looking at his sister and praying for her to grow. At 8 their relationship was stronger, he would fight for her and protect her.

BACK TO PRESENT
After hearing all these from her mom, she broke down in tears and looked at her mom. She felt bad, for acting like that all she wanted was to get someone she’s always happy with.
“I’m sorry mom, I didn’t know about all three, please don’t push me away. Please.” She cried, holding her legs.
“It’s okay, my dear. No one is pushing you away from this family. You belong here, we all love you.” She said.
Everyone in the house, was left wiping their tears, seeing the mom and daughter. “I’m sorry, bro. I’m really sorry for everything, and you too Amy.” Simi apologized.
“It’s okay, we’re also sorry for not telling you on time. But it’s okay and now everything is settled, like my uncles said. You might not be the blood, but you’re still the sister I know. Your relationship with Derrick is approved and you guys can go on or lemme say continue from where you stopped, right uncle Sammy?” Kunle asked.
“Yes, you’re right son. Simi and uhm..Derrick, we’re sorry and at the same time saying thank you for making this whole thing come out.” Sammy said, smiling.
“Thank you, uncle.” Derrick, prostrated and he stood up smiling. He hugged his mom and his sister. “Be a good guy.” Amber mumbled, he nodded and smiled.

Everyone left the house, Kunle and Amber were in the living room, chit chatting. Amber was very happy, and smiled at everything little thing. While Derrick and Simi were in the kitchen cooking, yes. I think it’s turn to cook and Uhm..continue their love play.
