That night was terrible, because after eating, she rushed to the bathroom to threw up. Kunle, was more worried than before. He waited for her to come out, he helped her sit down on the bed.
She sniffed.
“Can you tell me, what’s wrong with you?” He asked. “I’m fine.”
“Don’t tell me that you’re fine. I have seen you threw up, and you’re still telling me that you’re fine.” He almost yelled at her, but he controlled himself and walked to other side of the room, he sat on the couch far from her.
She rolled her eyes, without minding if he’s still around. She lay on the bed and cuddled up with her pillow. He scoffed.
“What’s wrong with her?” He mumbled to himself and went to bed. He removed the pillow and cuddled her, she smiled to herself.
“Let’s go to the hospital tomorrow morning. I’m ready to reschedule my work for tomorrow.”
“I just explained to you, that I’m fine. It’s not like I have fainted and I know that won’t happen, so relax.”
He didn’t add anything to her. He went quiet for almost five minutes, she was the one who brought up a discussion about Kim, telling him how she’s now okay with Julian after talking to her.
“That’s cool.” He replied. She glanced at him, of course she wasn’t expecting just that from him, knowing the kind of man he is, he would add some words to make the discussion long.
“Just that?” She asked, as he didn’t added to his statement. “Yeah.” He replied.
“Are you still mad at me?” She asked.
“For what, exactly? I’m not angry with you, I would advise you to get some sleep, it’s 9pm already.” He whispered.
“Alright..” She mumbled.
NEXT DAY
Kunle woke up first and did his morning routine. He came out of the bathroom, same time Amber turned facing him, he walked to her and kissed her forehead and sat down with her, his eyes met with clock on the wall, and sighed softly. This is first time seeing his wife sleeping till 12pm, he can say that he has seen slept till 9 or 10am.
He tapped her arms softly and slowly, she opened her eyes a little and shut it. “Let’s go to the hospital today.”
“I told you that I’m fine, now.”
“Are you going to work?”
“I told you that I don’t mind rescheduling my work or meeting.” He replied, worriedly.
“And I told you that, I’m fine. I was just stressed out yesterday. That’s why I’m like this, com’on.”
“I will go to the hospital, okay.”
“When?” He asked. But she didn’t respond to him, he looked closely she has slept off. He stood up and dressed for the meeting he has with his team, he kissed her lips and left with his briefcase, his phone and the car keys.

Finally, Amber woke up stretching out her hands with her eyes closed, she opened the eyes and looked around the room, her eyes fell on the clock on the wall.
“It’s 1pm.” She mumbled and walked the bathroom, she did her morning routine and came back to the room, she dressed up and grabbed her phone and car keys, to the dinning room. She ate the food.
AT THE HOSPITAL
Amber drove to the hospital, after much pleading from her husband. Who has been noticing some changes in her body, which she never knew.
She went to the see the doctor herself, she sat down. “Good morning, Mrs Kunle.”
“Good morning Khalid.” She greeted with a smile.
“You look beautiful this morning, anyways you always look beautiful. You’re a beauty goddess.” He said, smiling.
“Thank you, Khalid.” She replied, smiling.
“So what brought you here?” He asked, smiling. “Uhm, well I have been having some health issues, so I wanted to know what’s wrong. Even though I know it’s not serious, but my husband doesn’t want to listen to me. He kept telling me to come to the hospital, so here I am.” She chuckled.
“Alright, what’s the symptoms about?”
“Uhm, slight headache, tiredness. Throwing up and uhm..feeling dizzy.” She replied and sighed softly.
He smiled and asked her, “And you’ve having séx?”
“O..of course.” She stammered, it wasn’t easy for her to say even though she is married.
“Are scared of saying it. I mean, people will still know that you’ve been doing, so it’s not something new.”
“Alright.”
“I will check up.” He replied and left.

The test was done and the results came out, she was sitting when he walked in with the results in his hand, she looked at him and immediately he smiled.
“So, here’s your results ma’am. Congratulations, you’re 6 weeks pregnant.” He said and shrugged his shoulders with smiles on his face.
“What?”
“I’m pregnant? You mean all these symptoms was pregnancy. Oh my God!” She exclaimed.
“God I thank you, I know you’ll never disappoint me.” She prayed, quietly. “Thank you Khalid, I’m very happy.” She said, as she opened the results, her eyes couldn’t believe it, she touched her belly and again this smile this cease on her face.
“So, you don’t have to stress yourself out. Eat good food, healthy food. And take enough rest, it’s for you and your baby.”
“Alright, thank you.” She responded, smiling.
She left the hospital and drove to the house, since Khalid has told her to stay away from stress, she didn’t bother going to her work place..
She dropped her bag on the couch and sat on the bed, excited. She went to the kitchen, and prepared something for lunch.After eating, she went to the room to get some rest before her husband will come back from work.
Kunle came home, by 7pm he apologized. Although, she was angry but smiled as she remembered that she is now a mother, after having their dinner, they retired back to the room.
They were on their knees for night prayer, Amber was the one praying. “Father, I thank you for making it possible for us to see this day, we thank you for the guidance and we thank you for making me feel the joy and happiness of motherhood.” She said, and place Kunle’s hand on her belly, cause it was visible. He opened his eyes staring at his wife as she said amen after saying the prayer.
“You’re pregnant?” He said, surprised.
“Yes.” She replied, smiling. “Yes!” He yelled happily. “Thank you Lord, thank you God. Wow, I’m so happy, very very happy.” He yelled and calmed himself down, as he touched her belly again, he went forward to kiss it. Amber smiled. “So how many months?”
“6 weeks.” She replied.
“That’s a month and two weeks.” Kunle said, smiling.
“Yeah, you’re correct. Oga don start to dey calculate already.” She said, laughing.
“Ahh, Oh please. It’s our baby, oh.” He muttered, laughing.
“Hey, it’s dad talking okay, please be safe for me and mommy. Guess what, grannies are waiting for you. Yeah, you heard me, grannies I know it sounds awkward, but it’s the truth. You’ve got two granny and they’re the best.”
“I will be counting.” He said to Amber happily. She chuckled, “You’re not serious. Are you?” She asked.
“Sweetheart, I’m so serious. Come here, I want you on my arms.” He said, smiling.
“Wait, you mean that you’re pregnant?” He asked, still can’t believe this news. “Yes, Mr Kunle.” She replied, smiling.
“Wow, see the smile on your face. I can remember few months ago you were crying, because of what someone said to you,I understand how you felt but I’m happy that you’re smiling and you’ve seen that you’re okay. I’m not impotent neither are you barren.” He muttered, she smiled and hugged him tightly. She thank God for giving her such a man that understands her, despite her silly attitude.
“I love you.” She mumbled. “I love you more.” He replied and kissed her lips.
