A Month later, Amber came back from work, exhausted. She went to her room, and get rid of her clothes, she walked into the bathroom and had a quick shower.
She went to kitchen and sighed softly as she stared at food stuff, but didn’t know what to cook.
“Maybe, I should just go to the market and get some things for soup. I don’t even know what to cook.” She thought.
“Lemme call K, he might suggest something for lunch and dinner.” She thought and called him, he picked up.
“Hi, K..” She mumbled. “Hi, love…” He said over the phone. “Uhm..actually I’ve been thinking about what to cook for lunch and dinner. And I’m running out of food to prepare..so I called you, because I think that you might have something in mind.”
“Well, I will eat anything you cook.” He said, as he was driving. “I know, that’s why I called you, if you have something on your mind, what you really want for lunch or dinner.”
“Okay, uhm…go for something that won’t stress you out, because I know you’re already stressed out.” He said..
“I will be getting food from this Kilimanjaro.” He mumbled, Kilimanjaro is a restaurant..
“But…just relax I’ll be back.” He said smiling. “Alright, I’ll wait.” She mumbled.
“Yeah, I love you.” He said.
“I love you, K.” She replied, smiling. She hung up and shrugged her shoulders and then left the kitchen, she went living room to wait for him.

Kunle and Amber were invited to the party, Kim and her husband, Femi was there, they cheers to the success of the new company, owned by a millionaire, after everything, Kunle excused him to answer a call.
Femi saw someone he knew, he introduced him to his wife and Amber, he was having a conversation with the guy. Amber told Kim that she want to make use of the restroom.
They asked the waiter, and he directed them, they thanked him and went to restroom. “Seriously?”
“What? Com’on don’t tell me that you want to stay there with this.” Amber replied, talking about the urine. “Not really.. Thank God you didn’t take much time.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” Amber said, and smiled. On there way out of the restroom, they met Julian. At first, Amber was surprised, but she didn’t want to remember the past, she tried to walk pass her. But Julian stopped her, by holding her hand.
“What do you want?” Amber asked, Kim was staring at her in disgust. “How does it feel?”
“You know, I never knew that you are this smart. Tayo was a good man, I remember how you walked into the room and distracted our love making, but it’s not a problem.. I want him and I got him, and you know what he said to me. Amber is a fool, she doesn’t know that séx is the only thing that proves that someone loves you. I was told that, you’re a virgin, that’s why you didn’t let him in there.” Julian said, pointing at her private area. Amber swallowed, she never thought that Tayo would leaked out such thing to her.
“And I was told that your dad, is cheating on mom and how much you h@ťěd him. He locked you up in a dark room, fúçking a woman in a car, oh ..
.”Julia are you not ashamed of yourself, just listen to your stupid self, vomiting trash, just to hurt someone that cares for you. I regret being with a Ɓîtçh like you. You’re a wh-_-re, a snatcher.”
“What did you just call me?”
“Oh, Ɓîtçh, i want to believe that you heard me, correctly.” Kim replied. “You think saying all these things will make her feel bad, never. I h@ťě you.” Kim said and hold Amber’s hand, she was hurt by her words and her ex.
“Why would he tell her, such things? He didn’t talked about me, but my dad. I’m so….disappointed, I feel like trash..”
“Is being a virgin a crime?” She thought as they walked away.
“Oh, really, let’s see where your hatred will lead to. Fools, wait, did she just call me a wh-_-re?” Julian coughed, pointing at herself.
“Kimberly, I don’t want you to interfere in this, because I won’t take it slightly with you..” She said, to herself and stormed out of the place.
“Are you okay?” Kim asked, staring at her face. Amber looked away and nod softly in response.
“I’m sorry…” Kim apologized, even though she didn’t do anything wrong. “No, stop it. You don’t have to be, it’s not your fault. I thought he was a good guy, I wouldn’t have said anything concerning myself and my family…” Amber said, her eyes were already filled up in tears, she let drop freely.
“It’s okay, everything will be fine, I mean it’s already fine, don’t take her words to your heart, don’t let it trouble you.” Kim said, wiping her tears. Amber sniffed, as Kunle walked in there mist. His face changed, immediately as he noticed Amber’s face.
“Are you okay? Did anyone yell at you? Or talked to you in a bad way?” He asked, in Yoruba. Kim was expecting a yes from her, at least Julian won’t be able to talk to her next time.
“No, I’m fine.” She replied, Kim took a quick glance at her and cleared her throat and walked away, Kunle got the sign and kept asking her if there was a problem, she continue giving him a No for an answer.
“Are you done with your call?”
“Yeah, I’m done, when I came back I couldn’t find you in the crowd, so I came looking for you. I want to introduce you to someone.” Kunle said.
“Okay..” She replied and faked a smile. They left, Kunle proudly introduce his wife to the public, Amber said hello to everyone in the place..
“You don’t look, okay.” Kunle muttered and glanced at her. “I’m good..” She said, her eyes met with Julian’s own, she (Julian) looked away.
“Still can’t believe, that she got married to this handsome guy. She always gets what she wants.. Oh goodness, He’s so cute, his smile is one in million. I wish I can have him..”
“Imagine spending the rest of my life, with this handsome..”
“Keep dreaming, and unfortunately nothing of that nature will happen. You’re evil..” Kim said to her face and walked away.
Julian battled with her lashes, and did everything possible to let out the fake smile. “I will deal with you, Kim. You’re crossing the line..” She grins and grabbed a glass of champagne from the waiter, she glue down everything.
“I wanna go home.” Amber said, not looking at him. “Okay, let’s go..” He mumbled, on there way he told his friends and business partner that they are leaving, he also informed Femi and Kim insisted that they’ll also leave, since her friend and his are leaving..

Kunle walked into the kitchen, to check on his wife. He saw smoke coming out of the pot on the fire. He also noticed that, she was lost in thought.
“Are you okay? Amii, Amii!” He called and turned off the gas, as smoke from the heated oil filled the kitchen.
He touching her, snapping the silly thoughts out of her head. She quickly apologized and was trying to touch the hot pot, Kunle stopped her.
“Sit down..” He said, calmly.
“I’m sorry I can.. Just sit down, do as I say.” He cut her off, she nodded and sat down.
“I’m sorry….” She mumbled. “What’s wrong with you? You’ve been acting..moody,and you don’t want to talk about it..
Did anyone talk to you, in a bad manner? Anyone? A guy?”
“It’s nothing of that nature.” She replied, quickly. “Did you notice, when I walked into the kitchen? When I turned off the gas? And you’re saying that, nothing is wrong with you..”
“I just told you that it’s nothing, I will continue with cooking. I wanted to fry eggs for dinner..”
“I see, but you aren’t touching anything as long as I’m here. So sit your @zz down.” He commanded, she did as he said.
It wasn’t up to ten minutes, everything was set. Kunle served the food and they began eating. A some point, he looked at her and saw that she wasn’t eating, and she was lost as usual. He cleared his throat, she glanced at him and took a little bite from the fried egg.
“I wanna hear it.” He said, staring at her. “Hear what?” She asked, as if she doesn’t understand what he is saying.
“Tell me, what happened.” He mumbled. “I met someone that I knew, some years ago, she ….Hi bro.” Simi walked into the dinning room.
“Good evening, Amy.” Simi greeted and kissed her cheek. “Good evening, dear. I will get yours…don’t worry I will get it, make sure you eat your food.” Kunle said and left, he dished out her own portion of food and Simi began eating.
Kunle sat down, didn’t take his eyes off her. He watched her finish the food and then Simi carried out the dishes and washed them, before going to her room.
Kunle and Amber retired to the room. Amber was alone on the bed, soon Kunle joined her, he laid close to her. She glare at his shirtless body for a long time, she wanted to touch him but couldn’t. She sighed softly and stared at her fingers.
“I have been starving you, and also deprived you of your rights.” She mumbled and swallow hard..
“You can have me.”
I’m not talking about having you, you haven’t made up your mind yet. And I’m still here to know why you are acting weird.” He said.
She told him everything, Julian said to her. She was in tears, Kunle pulled her to his chest and pat her back softly. “It’s okay, don’t let it trouble you.. People will say, do something things, but don’t take it to your heart.”
“Would you want me to call the police and tell them to arrest her.” He said, smiling, she looked at his face as she heard saying that, the smile on his face made her chuckle and she got to touch his chest.
“It’s all yours, don’t feel scared next time.” He mumbled and smiled she also smiled and suddenly slept off on his arm.
He lay her down on the bed, and lay beside her. He didn’t stop staring at her face.. “So you wanted to get, yourself hurt because of this?” He asked her, although she was already asleep. He kissed her forehead and closed his eyes.
He doze off.
