THE WEDDING AND MARRIAGE PROPOSAL
The day of the wedding came, Kimberly and Femi are now married couples and before I forget the most important thing. When Kim threw the bouquet of flowers, Amber was lucky enough to caught the flower.
Kim couldn’t hide her excitement, she was very happy. She knew that Amber is the next in line.
“I told you, I told you.” Kim said, happily. Amber stood there smiling, not as if it’s her first time.
“It’s not my first time catching this $h|t.” Amber said, rolling. “I know, but this one is different.”
“Is there something that you’re not telling me?” Amber asked. “Something like what?”
“Did you take my name to Shiloh?” She asked, and chuckled. “That’s what I should have done, but it’s not late.”
“Don’t even think of it. Com’on Femi is waiting for you.” Amber said, with a smile. She turned and saw him standing, with Kunle who couldn’t help but smile.
“I guess he’s waiting for you too.” Kim said and walked away, Amber didn’t utter a word but walk away. Kunle trailed from behind, he blocked her path and apologize.
“You look beautiful.” He said, smiling. “Stay away from me.” She replied and was about to walk away again, but he stopped her.
“I’m sorry, okay. I don’t about you or your past, I just love you the first day I saw you. I swear.”
“I’m not interested in you. Guys like you don’t understand, unless I tell you clearly, so I tell you clearly. I’m not interested you. I’m not now and I won’t be in the future. Don’t ever talk to me again. Y’all are the same. A beast in a sheep clothing, bullshit.” She said, bluntly and rudely, before walking away.
Kunle mouth was left open, he had some words but he couldn’t say it. He waa shattered, but in all he tried to smile through the pain.

Kim and Femi went to their lodge, Kim removed her dress and went to the bathroom, she took her bathe and returned to the room. She met Femi talking on phone, she went to the bed and lay on it.
A minute later, he was done with call and he went to her. “Are you okay?” He mumbled and kissed her cheek.
“I’m fine.” She mumbled. “Alright, I wanna go to the bathroom. Uhm what would you like to eat?”
“There are a lot of food on the menu, don’t tell me that you’re not going to eat.” He added.
“Uhm, go take your bath first. We will talk about that later.” She mumbled, he sighed and kissed her cheek before leaving for the bathroom.
FOUR DAYS LATER
Amber returned from work and met some new faces in the living room, she greeted them respectfully, according to the Yoruba culture and their way of greeting.
“How are you my dear?” The woman asked, staring at her. “I’m fine, ma.” She replied and looked at her mom, who was smiling.
“You should go have some rest, okay. You’re so beautiful.” The woman said, smiling. “Thank you ma..” She mumbled and left, giving her mom a sign.
She went to her bedroom and dropped her bag and walking around the room when her mom came in.
“Mom, who are they? I mean who’s she?”
“She’s a friend, it’s been a 20 years. I haven’t seen her.” Helen replied. “Okay… But why do I feel like there’s something more to this?”
“Well yes. Let’s talk about it later. You need rest now.” Helen said. “Okay.. ..” She mumbled and sat on the bed.
Twenty minutes later, Kunle’s mom left the house, Helen escorted her and then returned to the house.
She thought on how she will tell her daughter that she will be getting married to someone.
Later that night, after eating Amber returned to her room. She laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling. When a knock came at the door, snapping her out of her thoughts, she quickly went to the door and opened it.
“Mom..you should be sleeping now.” Amber mumbled. “Yeah, I want to tell you something.”
“Is about the woman, that was here today?” Amber asked, Helen told her about the marriage proposal.
“Are you trying to sell me off?” Amber stuttered, staring at her. “No my dear, I will never do that. You can still see me whenever you wish.”
“Destiny is repeating itself again.” Amber stammered, as tears streamed down her cheek.
“No, Amber. It’s different, trust me. He’s a good man, he will never treat you the way I was treated. Yours will be different. Do you know why?”
“Because you’re so special. And you deserve a good man. Huh?” Helen said, Amber hugged her, sobbing.
“Mom…” She called, sobbing, her mom pat her back softly. Some minutes later, she slept off on her laps. Her mom laid her down on the bed, and kissed her forehead before leaving her room.

TWO DAYS LATER
Kunle’s family came back, this time Kunle came along with his mom.
“Oh, so you’re the one behind all these $h|t. I have told you so many times that I don’t want you, why can’t you just leave me alone.”
“I can’t let go of the woman, my mom loves.” He said, she gasped and moved back a little, tears were already building up in her eyes.
“Just stay away from me.” She said and walked away. On her way, she saw Simi she was shocked, she remembered what happened.
“Hi, I’m looking for my brother.” Simi mumbled, Amber didn’t stop staring at her. “Is Kunle her brother? Does she have two brothers?” She thought.
“He’s in a room, by the left.” Amber replied, she thanked her and went to the room. Amber was looking at her, as she walked away.
“Maybe she doesn’t remember me, I mean everything happened too fast.” She said to herself.
She went to the living room, everything was done. Kunle came downstairs with his sister, they seated.
“Everything is done, the dowry has been paid. And your wedding will be next week, but before that you guys are allowed to spend time with each other. ” Helen said, smiling. Kunle nods his head.
“My dear, I know everything happened too fast, but I can’t wait any more. You two can get along, get to know each other. What one likes and dislikes, trust me Kunle is a good man. He’s my son.” Kunle’s mom said, smiling.
“It’s okay, mom. I’m good with it, with everything.” She mumbled, everyone was very happy, especially her mom. It has always been prayers for good man to get marry to her.
After having dinner with her family, they left. Kunle went to see her before leaving, though she didn’t want to talk to him, she did it because her brother was present. Kunle left with his sister.
Derrick looked at her and smiled, he holds her hands as she stared at an empty space.
“Are you okay with this wedding? Your traditional marriage is on Friday and Saturday is your wedding.”
“You can tell me, I will talk to mom. We can cancel the marriage.” Derrick mumbled, staring at her.
“We’re already engaged.” She muttered and glanced at him. “It doesn’t matter, as long as you’re not happy with it.”
“I’m happy. I wanna be alone.” She mumbled. “Okay, but Kim is still here. Uhm..no problem just take care and call me if you need something.” Derrick mumbled, she nodded and walked to her room.

Kunle and his family arrived at his house, he went to his room and dropped his phone on the bed, he removed his clothes and walked to the bathroom nàked. He turned on the shower, his hands on the wall, with a lot of thoughts going through his head.
“She’s just too cold. I hope that one day she will understand everything and put wh@ťěver she’s facing behind.” He said to himself.
Some minutes later, he turned off the shower and came out of the bathroom, he cleaned up his wet body and put on something nice. He came downstairs.
He met his mom in the living room, he tried to put a smile on his face. He walked closer to her and kissed her cheek.
“Are you okay?” He asked, staring at her. “I’m good, thank you for listening to me. And I have known her for almost 20 years. I didn’t remember that she has a daughter. She’s so beautiful and respectful. I didn’t know that she’s the one you were talking about.”
“I’m glad that you like her.” Kunle muttered. “Like? I love her, the first time I saw her I knew she’s the one for you. And you made a better choice and please treat her right.” His mom said, holding his hands.
“I promise mom, I will do wh@ťěver it takes to make her happy.” He replied, with a big smile.
“And that reminds me of your days out. And make sure she is okay with the environment. You know, she’s a beautiful lady and she needs a good man like you. I have another thing to tell you.” She paused, he didn’t move his eyes, he wanted to know what she want to say.
“What’s it?” He asked, staring at her.
“I know that you’re a business man, but no matter how busy you are remember that there’s a woman at home. Waiting for you, don’t keep her waiting.
Make her happy always, especially when she becomes pregnant. It can turn her into something else.” His mom said, he smiled at her words and hugged her. “That’s why I love you, you’re always there to give me some advice and I really appreciate it, mom. I love you.” He said.
“Hmm, what’s this about?” Simi asked, as walked closer to them. “And how’s it your business, Miss Simi?”
“Mom, did you hear that?” Simi asked, pretending to be sad. “Don’t listen to him, He’s just being jealous.” Mom replied.
Kunle didn’t stop smiling, he left the seat for her. She sat down with her mom. “Bro did you know that she’s the one that almost hit you with her car?” These words slipped out of her mouth, she quickly covered her mouth with her hands, with an apology face. Kunle looked away, as if he doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
