One night on a bachelor party. She met a young man named Kunle his also a young handsome businessman. Who is broken and decided to stay single until the rest of his life. Despite having to much pressure from his mom, he still doesn’t want to get marry. He kept promising his mom that he will get married.
Amber h@ťěs men. After what happened to her. She despised her own father and her mother things doesn’t work well with her. There’s always a little problem.
Her mother does things to make sure she’s fine and comfortable to talk with her, but Amber is never gonna have a proper conversation with her mother.

THE WEDDING
Amber got down from the car and walked into the church, were the wedding is been held. She sat with her friends.
“Hi girl.” Sam mumbled and she smiled at her. “You look beautiful on this dress, it just seems like you’re the bride the moment you walked in. But no.”
“Com’on guys I know where you’re heading to, but it’s late for all that.” Amber said.
“Oh late ke? There’s nothing late. I can’t even imagine being a virgin at 24 and your birthday is two weeks time.” Uju said.
Amber sighed softly, “You girls are making feel uncomfortable. I don’t like it..” Amber mumbled.
“And who cares if you like it or not. Shey you dey whine me nii?” Kim, who’s wedding is in two weeks time. She is Amber’s best friend.
“Must you talk. Ahh..” Amber mumbled and hissed. “Be quiet please the bride is coming..” Amber mumbled, everyone was quiet.
HOURS LATER
The wedding is over, Amber and her friend Kim took a walk down the street. They kept chatting as they walk.
“Babe, when are you getting a boyfriend?” Kim asked, staring at her. “Ehn, that one isn’t important..”
“And who is feeding you with such stupid things? That a boyfriend isn’t important, ehn?” Kim yelled.
“Kim! E be like you don high like this. Because I don’t see any reason for shouting..” Amber replied.
“I don’t blame you, I blame myself. No nah me carry myself come to talk to you. Idíot.”
“Ehn, thank you. Does calling me an idiot makes you happy?” Amber asked, “Not really, I was just angry but make sure you find someone to celebrate your birthday with..” Kim muttered.
“I’m sorry for calling you an idiot. But come to think of it, you are an idiot ohh.” Kim said, laughing and ran away. Amber ran after her, “If I get you, you will regret calling me that..” Amber made an empty thr_@t.
“You no fit do anything..” Kim yelled back at her, she saw her fianceé standing behind his car, he was waiting for her.
“Hey baby!” She muttered, breathing heavily and then hugged him. Amber
“Idíot, you’re lucky.” Amber replied, breathing heavily. “Oh please, I can’t believe you girls run this much..” Femi said.
“Well, Kim started it.” Amber mumbled, staring at them. Kim doesn’t want to let go of the young man, she kissed him in her presence. He reciprocate immediately and then broke the kiss, Amber look away, while they enjoyed each others lips.
“I have to go now. Take care.” She muttered. “So soon.?” Kim questioned and kissed Femi on his lips.
“Yes madam, you want to oppress me abii?” Amber mumbled. Kim moved closer to her. “I’m sorry, ma.”
“Ehn, wh@ťěver. Please remember your wedding night. Don’t do it this night, because looking at you now. You don’t mind doing it, Ashawo dey your eye.” She whispered and chuckled.
“Fine, e don do. Come dey go your house.” Kim mumbled and pushed her to her car, “Do not forget what I said.” Kim said, as they got to the car but Amber didn’t understand what she was talking talking about.
“What’s that?” She asked. “Getting a boyfriend. I can get you someone else, ehn.” Kim said, softly.
“I’m going home, take care of yourself.” Amber replied, ignoring her and hopped into the car and drove off.
Kim and her fianceé Femi hopped in the car and drove off.
TWO DAYS LATER
“Good morning everyone” Derrick greeted, walking down the stairs. He moved to his mom and kiss her cheek.
“Good morning my love. How was your night?” Helen replied with a big smile on her face. “It was all good mom. And yours?”
“Great my dear.” Helen replied. Derrick sat down, operating his phone. When his elder sister walked down with her hand bag, she didn’t greeted her mom. She sat down and the maids served her and the others, her mom and her brother. Amber took the spoon and began eating her own food.
Amber brought out her phone and pick up the call. “Hello, Kelly I will be right there, tell the others to get ready and… Uhm what else do I have for today.” Amber said.
“Ma’am, you don’t have much today.. Your schedule isn’t tight, you will be going to the gym after the meeting and Mrs Kendall wants to see you today.” Kelly replied.
“Alright, thanks.” She muttered and hang up. Her eyes and that of her mother met, she sighed and look away.
“Is that, the way to act. No greetings this morning.” Helen said, with a little anger in her voice.
“Is that why you are shouting, I’m sorry.” She rolled her eyes and grab her bag and stood up.
“That’s not the way to talk to mo….Just shut up and stop acting nice.” She cut Derrick off and walked out of the dinning room.
“This is so bad and she doesn’t care.” Derrick said, looking at his mom. “Don’t worry about it, it’s fine.” Helen muttered, rubbing her forehead. “Lemme take you to your room..” He said.
“Don’t worry, my dear. I’m fine.” Helen replied. “Are you okay?” He asked as he noticed, the painful look on her face.
“Having a slight headache. I will take painki||ers and I will bounce back.” She muttered and went to her room.
“Mom, I will be going to Tunde’s house and I won’t be spending much time there.” He said and went to his room.
HOURS PASSED
Amber was done with the meeting, she and Kelly made their way out of the meeting room. Amber on the sofa and brought out her phone.
“What else do I have for today?” She asked, looking at her. She kept the phone on the glass table to listen to her.
“Well, Mrs Kendall is waiting for you. She called again today. I think it’s very urgent, the way she sounds.” Kelly replied.
“Uhm, okay. Mm..I will go see her. Another thing for today.” She said, “Yes, the gym, by 4pm.” She replied.
Amber stood and grabbed her bag, she was already on her way out when she called her back, she glanced at her and sighed.
“I’m sorry, your mom…. I know.” She cut her off, before she could complete her statements. “I’m sorry ma’am.” She apologized, Amber didn’t say anything but left her office.
