“He’s not, mother said he’s a demon and father said that he was cursed by an evil witch, his mother said that he’s a blood-sucking demon that uses other people’s blood to sustain himself, now tell me what makes him my brother? Am a human and he’s what I don’t know,” she replied
“Joy, none of that is true, they just h@ťě him without a reason, if he’s all of this why didn’t father ki|| him? Why is he still keeping him here? Why hasn’t he sent him away?” River asked
“I dunno, but all I no is that father never lie, so I think there is something wrong with that boy, either he’s cursed like father said or he’s a demon,” she replied
“Joy please you’re the only person that can make father Change his mind, just help him this once please,” he pleaded
She was quiet for a while
“Fine, but I don’t know how to convince father in a case like this, He h@ťěs that boy so much,” she said holding her forehead
“Joy, his name is Adam, he has a name… Please just help me,” River added looking directly into his face
“Fine, I just don’t want to die,” she replied going out of her room with River behind her

THE BROWN HOME*
EVENING*
“Eddy go call your Dad for dinner,” Mrs. Brown said
“On it mum,” he replied and left
Karan on the other hand went into her room but something felt strange, she has this feeling that someone was watching her but she couldn’t see anyone
She decided to freshen up before going down for dinner, she went into the bathroom but something felt wrong
Not long after someone entered her room again, since she haven’t removed her clothes she quickly opened the glass door and Olivia burst out laughing
“Get out,” she said pointing at the door
“Calm down, I just want to borrow some of your old notes,” Olivia replied
“Take it and leave, I have told before and am telling you now stop coming here, if I didn’t see you now you will deny ever coming close to my door,” Karan said
“Is Ben still coming,” Olivia asked after taking the things she need
“I said get out,” Karan replied and pushed her out of the room
“Ghost… Ghost,” Olivia said laughing
Karan throws one of her slippers at her and she runs away, she turns back to go in then she saw the broken flame
“I said it that someone was here, I knew it,” she said looking around
“Karan come down for dinner,” her mother shouted from downstairs
She went into the bathroom and removed her clothes then she started bathing, after some time she tied the towel around her chest and then went to the mirror to wash her face
“Karan honey, the food will get cold,” Mrs. Brown said coming into her room
“Almost done mom,” she replied

Eddy went into his father’s study to see him looking at something on his computer
“Dad, mom said dinner is ready,” He said
His father didn’t hear him
“Dad!!” She shouted
“What Eddy can’t you see that am busy?” His father said almost yelling
“Mom said dinner is ready,” Eddey replied
“I will be there shortly,” he replied and focus back on his computer
Eddy looked around the study and a bunch of pictures on the table caught his attention
He went towards it and check, it was all Karan’s pictures and it looks new, he saw another one left side and went for it
“Eddy out,” his father said
He secretly took the pic and hide it before going out
His father was too busy that he didn’t notice the one he left with
