Rushing into my home , locked the door and held my chest tightly, it was beating very fast, I picked up my phone to call Kyle when I saw him on the couch.
“And why are you staying there and holding your chest like that “He asked as I got angry and wanted to yell at him but I couldn’t , I was so worn out . Am so grateful that the apartment he got for me was not far away .
After I had catch my breath, I decided to talk .
“I was almost ki||ed today “I said and the mood around Kyle change . He now looks dangerous.
“What!”He said
“Alex was not the one who was interviewing the workers but Miguel”I said and paused
“So did he try to ki|| you “He asked dangerously , looking like he was going to ki|| anyone right now .
“No , he didn’t”I said
“Looks like our source was wrong this time, did he notice anything?”He said with a little concern
“I don’t know , all I just know was that I could not face him and the next thing he gave me his card stating that he needed a P.A and that if I was ready I should give him a call”I said , Kyle started smiling and he hugged me all of a sudden.
“Kyle stop it , you are ki||ing me already”I said but he didn’t stop
“Hello , Kyle , are you ok “I asked because I still don’t know the reason why he was smiling and now hugging me which is ridiculous.
“Well even though I was not there to watch your horrible performance but am so happy you did something great and that is one of the reason why I gave you this job, you are so sweet that even Miguel couldn’t resist you “He said and placed kisses all over my face . I frowned.
“What are you implying , I told you that I almost got ki||ed , Instead of you to panicand tell me not to involve myself in this horrible situation , you are praising me for what ? Look Kyle am sorry but I don’t think I can do this any longer” I said
“I know this is hard for you Charlotte but pls hear me out , just do this to only Miguel , you jist gave me the perfect chance to ruin him, after this I promise I would not involve myself talk less of you in may dangerous situation, you and I know why I am doing this , for our parents”Kyle said
“Only Miguel , no Alex or their mum”I said
“Urgh , fine ,only Miguel and that is only because of you naughty sis” he said as he gritted his teeth.
“I know big bro and am very grateful for that”I said
“And if you are grateful for that bring out that card and call him ,yell him you are ready for the job”Kyle said and I froze .
“No, no I can’t , I already told him I was not ready for the job”I said
“Of course you can”He said
“How ?”I asked
“Just be you “he said
“Arrgh , I’ll do it ,but if it does not work then it is your fault not mine”I said
“Alright , I accept , now call him “He said and I sluggishly brought out the card and dialed the num.
“Don’t forget to put it on speaker”Kyle said and I nodded.
Deep down in my heart I was praying fervently for Miguel not to pick the call ,too bad my prayer was not answered in just a ring the idiot picked the call like he was waiting for it.
[Phone conversation]
Miguel : never knew you would call so soon
Me : {dumbfounded} [how did he know I was the one , maybe he mistook me for another person] Do you know who is on the line
Miguel : why won’t I , Charlotte
Me : [shocked]How did you know
Miguel : because only few people have this number
Me : ohhh
Him : so are you ready
Me : yes sir
Him : ok , fine send your address to this num ,I will send someone to pick you up tomorrow
Me : tomorrow
Him : what is wrong with tomorrow or should I say next week .
Me : [Kyle telling me tomorrow would be good] no don’t you worry I would be ready tomorrow
Him : Tomorrow is it , see you then .
[Call disconnected].
OMG! I thought I would have a rest fr all this but no , from one trouble to another .
“Perfect , so perfect , I think it is time for me to leave , see you when I see you , bye little Charlotte and keep up your good works , at least you would be getting paid “Kyle said and pinched my cheeks.
“Am not little”I pouted
“Of course you are my little Charlotte, don’t forget to wake up early”He said
“What’s that for “I asked.
“Just a little reminder”He said and went out, I fell on the chair and heaved a long crazy sigh before I offer my heels , switched on the TV and started watching movies .
“I just wish all of this is over”I said .

Smiling sheepishly and thinking about that Charlotte of a girl.
“Sir why did you give her your personal number” Dee asked
Dee is my right hand man and a very loyal one to be precise .
“I don’t know but I find her interesting” I said
“Do you want me to find out about her”he asked
“No no ,just let her be , I want to know her myself”I said and looked at the window.
“Any news from my mom or Alex”I asked
“Your mom is going to Hawaii this Saturday to visit Alex, a surprise visit “he said
“Hmm alright , we are going there tomorrow afternoon I need to see what’s is going on before mother does cause she is going to cause commotion if anything happens to Sandra” I said
“I will prepare it sir”
