I felt relief when I saw him left. I layed on the bed and covered my body with a duvet . For how long will I continue to be like this I thought.
I miss my mom .
She’s the only one who gives me comfort.
The door opened and I froze , what does he want again?
“Ma’m “I heard Maggie’s voice , ok he is not the one , calm down Casssandra, for goodness sake be calm.
“Mr Alex asked me to dress you up and bring you downstairs”She said but I nodded negatively.
“No, no, no am ok the way I am”I said
“Pls just let me do it , don’t make him more angry , you know how he is when he is angry “Maggie said
“He will hurt me “I said
“No he won’t if you do as he say”she said
“He will”I said
“I promise to be by your side”Maggie said but I did not believe.
“Trust me I will”she said as she moved closer, I let her touch my hair, and then I stood up and entered the bathroom to have my bathe.
I was already downstairs with Maggie, I did not see Alex so I moved away from her back .
“Finally you are here , come sit down beside me “He said with a sly smile .
I thought he wasn’t here , but how come I hear his voice.
He was at the parlour , no wonder.
My legs were already shaken , I could not move until Maggie touched me , I lifted my legs slowly.
“Be fast do not waste my time or you will not like what I’ll do “He said but that made me more scared ,I prayed silently for a miracle to happen and then his phone rang.
“It’s mama , be fast Cassie she wants to talk to the both of us , I want you to act normal”He warned and Maggie pushed me forward to him.
He picked the call.
,[Phone conversation]
Alex: hi mama (smiles)
Mrs Willow : how are you guys doing
Alex : we are doing great
Mrs Willow : are you sure Cassie?
But no respond , I was lost in thought, he hit me softly and then I jolted up
Mrs Willow: are you ok Cassie
Me : yes I am ma’m
Alex : she’s just having a slight headache
Mrs Willow : or are you scaring her
Alex : no mama, how would I be able to scare Cassandra, nah I can’t , don’t worry mama we have settled our differences , we are good now.
Mrs Willow : that is good to hear , am so happy you guys are getting along now the next thing you guys need to do is to provide lovely grandkids for us [I choked ]. Is it too early to ask for that
Alex : mum pls let us enjoy our lovely young days first and then we will think about that later.
Mrs Willow: ok but you guys should be fast about that, we don’t need any delay since your elder brother has refused to give us grandkids
Alex : aight mom, talk to you later.
Mrs Willow : ok bye, can’t wait to see you.
[Conversation Ends]
“What the hell just happened “He said and I looked at him , I just don’t know what I did wrong.
“Are you deaf Cassandra, just one thing and you could not do it right, you are so lucky that she believed the lie”he said and walked out. Tears slid down my eyes, I just don’t know what I did wrong to deserve it.

{One week later}
Alex has not been around lately been taking care of business in Hawaii which was good for me , I and Maggie has become close and because of Alex she had to teach me how to cook since he said I must be the one to cook for him, at first it was crazy but later on I started doing very well which was good. Today Maggie and I were going for our walk round the garden since I can’t come out , I have not been going through depression like the last time which was good , Maggie had been my chat Patner because she’s the only one I feel comfortable with.
“Am so tired “I said to her
“Let me take you to your room so you could have some rest “She said
“I hope Alex is not coming back home tonight”I said
“I am not sure , he was meant to come back yesterday but had a tight schedule”She answered
“I just pray he doesn’t come back for like three years that would be better”I said
“Really ?”I heard his voice and I froze .

“What? are you not going to talk again”He asked but I did not answer him , he dragged my hand and took me to his room.
This was the first time I am entering his room in this house , but wait why did he bring me here.
Hope it’s not what I am thinking it is.
