Episode 2
“am a twin”?
“But why are telling me now” I asked
“Because this is the right time for you to know” my father replied.
“I wanted telling you a long time ago but your father ordered me not to tell you, for you were very stubborn and might go in search of him, of which we were afraid of losing you too” my mother explained.
After her explanation I became totally mute and confused on what next to say because I know I was actually very stubborn then so I left home to my animals friends. I told them about the new revelations of my missing twin brother but they were all aware of it except the younger ones who were surprised.
One of the monkey claim to be one of the animals whom had went out with my brother that day and the only one that escaped.
Sure you might be surprised to know I understand animal language. Yes I do understand and vice versa, like I said earlier am born and raised in the jungle not only by my parents but also the animals (apes).
the monkey further narrated that my brother wasn’t the only one kidnapped but two other gorillas who tried to rescue him were also kidnapped while it (the monkey) ran away since it doesn’t has enough strength to defend or rescue.
“it’s okay, let’s go hunt for food” I ordered.
We sang and danced on our way in search of fruits and other crops. we have went deep into the jungle and have grabbed enough fruit for all, Yet the monkey wasn’t satisfied because we didn’t see banana. while searching for banana plant at the top of a very big Obobo tree, it beacon on me to come take a look at something but I ignore at first because the monkey is a prank star and had pranked me countless times with this come and look stuff.
But it alarmed me again, so I have no option than to go take a look even though I was sure it might be a prank.
when I got to the top of the tree my eye popped open at what I saw, I alerted the other animals with us to come take a look at what I was seeing. their jaw dropped astonished at what they saw.
Behold it’s something like a hut.
we came off the tree and decide to go check what it was and who they’re living in the jungle with us.
The monkey was afraid and not in support of our decision but it has no option than to succumbed.
We left for the hut it was a long walk but finally reached. the hut was very big in size like about 10 times that of my father.
when we went into the house we saw human skeletons and various weapons.
” is this place my father village my mom told me about” I asked myself in confusion.
it was already getting late and we need to get going. I beaconed to my friends and we journey back home.
when we arrived at the jungle it was already late. the animals bid me bye and I went to our hut, on reaching home I saw my parents at the entrance of the hut. “I guess there must be waiting for me” I thought to myself, when I reached I greeted them but no response, I went inside the house I didn’t even bother eating because I was satisfied so I went straight to bed.
I narrated my adventure to my parents and also reveal my discovery to them but it didn’t sounds like something serious to them especially my father. his was maybe I had gone out of the jungle to one of the neighboring villages.
“Don’t ever move out of this jungle again till further notice” my father ordered.
” But I didn’t go to any neighboring village” I complained.
“I have said it and that’s all” he added.
it’s been two years I neither move out nor go deep into the jungle again.
I came back home from hunting bush meat when father called me.
“Sir you called me!” I said
“have your seat” he said
I sat on the bench then my mom join us
“Tojo I want you to go and search for your missing twin brother”.my father said.
