ANNA LEIGH’S POV
Adam didn’t do anything but to pull away from her gently, smiling “Evelyn, what are you doing here?”
“I’m officially a student of Chad high school and your classmate, we’ll be best friends before you know it , isn’t that right?” She grinned at me.
I blinked repeatedly, confused “Yeah… Um, I’m Anna Leigh.”
She pouted “Awww, that’s a beautiful name, it’s gracious.’
“What?” I muttered confusedly.
“That’s the meaning of your name, Gracious and meadow.” She smiled.
I grinned nervously “Thanks.”
“So you don’t know the meaning of your name?” She scoffed.
I bit my lip in embarrassment.
“Can I talk to you for a sec?” Adam pulled her arm and left.
I wonder if they know each other.
EVELYN’S POV
He pulled me into a private place, only few people passing.
“What’re you doing here?” He jeered at me, angrily.
I guess he’s not happy to see me. He doesn’t really like me, but is that his girlfriend?
“I said… I’m new here so…” I’m stammered nervously.
“So you decided to come to my school to spy on me? What a shame!” He scoffed.
“Why are you doing this to me?” I cried “For the first time we’re literally having a conversation and you’re saying those things to me?”
He rolled his eyes, unbothered.
ADAM’S POV
“Do you think I’m even supporting this stupid marriage?” She scoffed.
I smiled at her “Why didn’t you stop your parent if you’re against it?”
“Because I’ve never had any boyfriend before, when my parents informed me, I had no choice because I thought I’ll finally have someone to call my own, in fact the hottest guy I’ve ever seen. I liked you the moment I saw you but you don’t like me back, so what’s the point of this dumb marriage?” She scoffed, folding her arms.
Wow, I kinda feel bad for her especially with her story. I guess I’m being too harsh on the pretty girl.
I sighed, scratching my head “I’m really sorry for all the things I said.”
“Just forget it.” She huffed.
“Um…” Anna Leigh joined us, biting her lip, holding her bag straps nervously, “I don’t mean to interrupt your conversation but class has started 3 minutes ago.”
“Huh?” I exclaimed.
“Yeah.” She nodded and held my hand.
“Who are you?” Evelyn asked.
EVELYN’S POV
Why did I just ask such question? I’m not supposed to be jealous.
Adam put his arm around her neck “She’s my one and only girlfriend.” He smirked, giving her multiple kisses on my cheeks.
She blushed and giggled loudly “Hehe, Adam stop it.”
I fake smiled, feeling bitter in me. They should stop already.
“Okay, okay.” I snapped as they stopped, I smiled “I get it, you two look adorable together.”
“Let’s get to class.” I grinned a little. They shrugged and we left.
I should just lose my feelings because he’s being nice and cute.
Not to me but to the poor waitress. I’m not being rude though.
I wonder why mom put me in this school, it’s not even that big.
We entered the small classroom with so many students, messing around, throwing papers, teasing each other.
Adam and Anna Leigh sat together, cuddling and smiling.
I gulped sadly as I sat at the back of them. I shouldn’t have come to this school.
“We should go somewhere tomorrow after school since it’s Friday.” Anna Leigh shrugged.
“Where do you want us to go?” Adam smirked.
She shrugged “I don’t know, Dunkin Donuts, my treat.”
“Perfect.” He whispered as they kissed passionately.
I rolled my eyes. Why do they have to do that in front of me? I wish I could just kick Anna Leigh away and kiss Adam instead.
They broke the kiss and she rested on her boyfriend’s shoulders.
“So who’s Evelyn?” Anna Leigh whispered.
Why is she asking that question? What does she want to know about me?
“She’s just a friend from my old school. Nothing serious.” Adam lied.
Why did he lie to her?
*RODRIGUEZ MANSION*
HIRA’S POV
I was walking from the corridor, towards the kitchen.
“Have you put your daughter in my son’s school?”
That statement made my slow down, I was baffled to hear that.
“Perfect, they’ll be so good together.” Mom-in-law giggled over the phone, sitting comfortably on the couch in the living room.
Who are they talking about?
“Mrs Rodriguez?” I approached her.
She was alarmed the moment she saw me “I’ll call you back.” She hung up immediately and sat upright.
“Hira, you’re here. How’s your fiance?” She said in a high pitched voice.
I’m suspicious.
I sat beside her “Who are you calling? And why are you putting some girl in Adam’s school?”
“What are you talking about?” She sounded confidently.
“Are you arranging a match for Adam? Cause you said your son’s…” I exclaimed.
She scoffed nervously “What no?! I’m talking about Chance’s old school in Brooklyn, I’m finding a match for my friend’s son who goes to that school. He’s also like a son to me.”
I nodded, believing what she said.
I nodded “Okay.” I stood “I want the chefs to make some meal for me and my fiance.”
“Okay sweetie.” She said, using her phone.
I went in to the kitchen. My phone beeped. I checked it.
I was shocked to see a video of Adam and that poor sl×tty waitress playing together at a beach.
They’re really dating? I can’t believe this. It has to stop.
“Mrs Rodriguez!” I stormed to the living room and sat beside the mother “Look what my friend sent me.”
I showed her the video, she grinded her teeth angrily “Adam, that disobedient son! Urgh!!” She stood angrily.
I stood too “We have to stop them, we can’t just sit here and watch those two ending up together! We have to do something.”
“I will I swear. That lowlife girl will regret it all her life!” She yelled throwing her wind glass away.
I smirked evilly at her reaction. Sorry Adam, but Anna has to go.
At least it’s not according to what I thought. Adam is mine and mine alone. I’ll make sure I deal with Chance later. First it’s Anna Leigh, be prepared.
