Episode 3. A
I gasped for air as Toby, Wendy’s fiancee pinned me to the wall. He drew his face closer to mine. My heart pounded. I could feel his hot breath on my face and even his body kissing mine!
“What are you doing, mister?!” I yelled and tried pushing him.
“What does it look like I’m doing, miss?” He said and even drew much closer! “I’m admiring your beauty of course.” He was talking straight into my mouth and his lips caressed mine.
I pushed Toby away and got balance. “Admiring my beauty?” I asked. “When you’re going to wed my best friend, Wendy in a few weeks!” I blurted out.
Toby chuckled. A kind of unusual laughter.
“That I’m going to wed your friend doesn’t mean I won’t admire beauty when I see one. Besides, we are not even married yet. What’s your name?”
“Grace,” I reluctantly replied.
“Mmmhh… Lovely name from a beautiful lady. Well, I’m Toby, as maybe you’ve known. I will like to know more about you.
“You can ask your questions, mister Toby.” I mockingly said. He laughed.
“Not that way, you naive girl. And not even the other way you might be thinking. Friends, I mean.”
We exchanged contacts and I hurriedly went downstairs to join my friends in their gist. They must have wondered what was keeping long.
“Grace, where have you been?” Wendy was the first to blurt out.
“Uhmm.. runny stomach! I was having runny stomach and so, I decided to use the toilet. I stooled for a long. Any problem with that?”
“Oh no… Not really. I thought I heard you conversing with my husband. Is Toby awake? I mean, did you see him?”
“No, I didn’t.” I lied. “It was the guest’s restroom that I used.”
“Ohh.. he comes there anyways.” She uttered and turned back to Ozioma and Mirabel. “So girls, let’s call it a day. I need to go and check up on my fiancee, I think he’s awake.
“Alright babe, take care.” They all stood, took few selfies. I picked up my handbag and joined them to board a taxi back home.
