CHAPTER NINE
It was lunch time and Rose went into the cafeteria knowing she would find Lilian there. She had often seen the girl eating alone. She had to approach her and become friends before anything else.
She found Lilian eating by herself and quickly she set her tray on the table and took her seat. Beaming a smile at Lilian who stared at her with surprise.
Seeing her up close,Rose could understand why Louis, the school most handsome student fell for her. She definitely is a beauty. Rose thought as she kept on starring.
“Hello, Am Rose and i know you are Lilian”She said quickly. The girl could only nod in response.
“You must be surprised by me being here but I figured out that since you are alone just as I am. I would like it if we became friends” Rose said hoping she would reply by nodding her head but she picked up her tray and stood up.
Immediately Rose went after her, following her out of the cafeteria.
” Are you angry? I just want us to be friends. You don’t have any friends and since I also don’t have one. Am hoping we can hang around together” Rose said as she kept on following Lilian.
Lilian stopped suddenly bringing out her phone to type something.
“Are you messing with me?if you are, I suggest you leave me alone” Rose read the message she had typed
“Am not! I seriously want to be your friend. Amongst everyone who have bullied me. You never did and for that, I would like to be close to you” Rose said and when Lilian eyed her sceptically. Rose decided to use the resort she knew.
“Allow a loner like me to become your friend” Rose didn’t say it out loud but instead she used the sign language.
Lilian stood still for a while starring at her when suddenly she smiled.
“Your sign language isn’t bad but you failed the friend part”Lilian texted and showed it to her.
“I didn’t really learn it for long. I just wanted you to see that am someone you can communicate with without texting”Rose said and Lilian spoke next using the sign language.
“You don’t want to be my friend?”Rose translated for her.
“You got it wrong. I said that I will give it a try” Lilian texted and showed it to her again.
“Thanks”Rose said as she took Lilian hands in hers. She knew she was only getting close because she wanted to help Louis but it wouldn’t be bad if she made friends with her.
For the rest of the day. The two of them bonded and Rose found herself learning things from Lilian. Apart from being pretty she is also smart.
Rose got to know her likes and dislikes and her hobbies while Lilian also learn the same thing.
During Recess they both went to the rooftop to read. Rose have been trying to figure out a way to get Lilian and Louis together and after hours of thinking she finally thought of something.
“I need visit the toilet. My stomach keeps on rumbling”Rose lied as she stood up holding onto her stomach.
“Hurry then. I will be waiting here for you”Lilian texted.
“Okay then. I will be back soon”Rose said as she ran down stairs.
As soon as she got to the toilet, she quickly sent a text to Louis.
“Lilian is alone on the rooftop. I left to give you two space. Make up an excuse for showing up there and get her number. She is sweet but a bit gullible and every girl is smitten by you. She wont be an exception. So go for it. “She texted hoping everything works out just as she planned it.
She took her time before sneaking back to the rooftop. She was happy to see the two of them going over a book together, laughing too.
“Your matchmaking is done “Rose said to herself as she left the rooftop.

Rose was bringing out the thrash bag out of the hotel she worked as a cleaner when she heard a car horning.
She turned to find Martin standing by his car, smiling at her.
“What are you doing here? If you’ve come to ask me about Louis then I suggest that you…….”
“Am not here for that. I only came because Louis ordered me to bring you”Martin said
“Me? To where? “she asked
“He didn’t tell me too. Just told me to bring you”Martin said
“But I have to…….what are you doing?”Rose asked as she was carried by him
“Sorry Rose but I was told to bring you and I have to do it . Louis can be very scary at times “He said as he head towards his car.
