TWENTY THREE
Rose returned to the bus to find Louis sitting at Peter spot while Peter was seating at his.
She gave Peter a questioning look but he only shrugged in reply. She went to take her seat intent on ignoring him but it seems like he had other idea.
“Finally your back. The bus would have left if you didn’t show up”He said
“That will save me the trouble of going on this trip”She retorted.
“Really? How do you intend to go back when your things are also in the bus. You would end up coming after us”He said.
“What exactly are you doing here? Your seat is over there”She said to him.
“The seats aren’t assigned specifically to someone and besides I wanted to seat beside the window. The air coming in is refreshing”He said.
“Really? Then I hope you will mind your business and don’t talk to me”She said.
“Why? You were happy talking to Peter a while ago. Why should I keep my mouth shut”He said
It’s because you are a distraction. A distraction which I have to get rid of before it’s too late. Rose thought within her and not bothering to give him a reply. She turned away from him.
“You won’t succeed in ignoring me. Am visible not invisible”He said behind her.
“Wh@ťěver”She replied as the door opened and Yu si Feng walked in. Sitting on Martin seat.
He waved at her while smiling at her, something she returned.
“What are you doing here?”Peter asked.
“Martin and I decided to change buses. He wants to talk to some of the girls in my school while I want to talk to someone here”He said starring at Rose while pissing Louis off.
“Get down and tell Martin to come back”Louis spoke to him in Chinese .
“No. I came to see pretty and I wont leave until she says so” Yu si Feng returned in Chinese.
“When you left. I realised that I didn’t get something from you”He spoke in English to Rose.
“What?”Rose asked as the bus started.
“Your number. I have no friends here. I would like you to be my friend”He said and Rose nodded calling out her number for him.
“Why would you give out your number to a total stranger?”Louis asked her.
“Yu si Feng is not a stranger”She returned as she saved his number.
“I thought I told you that she is not available?”He spoke in Chinese to Yu si Feng
“You haven’t given me a good reason why she is not available and besides I see no one claiming her”Yu si Feng returned.
“So you won’t give up right?”he asked.
“I won’t”
“Fine then. Rose here belongs to me” Louis said to him and that got his attention.
“That’s a lie. You are just saying that to make me stay away”He replied.
“Showing you proof will make you believe me right?”Louis asked and he nodded.
Louis took hold of Rose face, pulling her towards him.
Rose who had been caught off guard stared at him in surprise while her heart drum crazily.
“What are you doing?”Yu si Feng questioned in Chinese.
“Proving it to you”Louis returned in Chinese too before starring at Rose who was gazing up at him with that beautiful eyes of hers.
He found his throat going dry while he stared at her lips. Quickly he wiped the remnant of food oil that was beside her lips before letting her go.
“Does that prove it to you?”He asked Yu si Feng In English this time around and Yu si Feng could only sit back, looking annoyed and hurt.
“Prove what? What did you try to prove to him?”Rose asked
“Nothing to concern yourself with”He replied.
“I don’t know what you are doing here but what I can tell you is that if you touch my face again without my permission. You will regret it”She said punching him.
Louis could only smile in return, liking the cute angry face she made at him.

Louis along with Peter stood in front of their assigned tent while waiting for Martin to show up.
They had arrived at the camping ground a while ago and Rose had left to look for her assigned tent. Louis was assured that Yu si Feng wouldn’t go after Rose. Afterall he made it clear to him a while ago.
Martin returned to them having a mischievous look on his face. Louis could tell that he was up to no good.
“What took you so long?” Peter asked.
“I was trying to make a deal with a student”He said happily.
“What deal?”Louis asked.
“Yu si Feng and I decided to do something crazy”He said
“And what could the something crazy be?”Louis asked.
“You see instead of putting the girls separately and in their own camping ground. We decided to put everyone together. It’s a mixture of boys and girls together”Martin said.
“So what you are saying is that a tent will be comprise of a boy and a girl?”Peter asked.
“Yes. It will be easy for the boys to meet a girl they like and the same goes for the girls. It will be a very steamy night. Aren’t I a genius?”Martin asked.
“You and Yu si Feng must be insane! How could you come up with such a thing?”Louis asked.
“Everyone likes it and if you are angry that you don’t get to have someone share a room with you. I can arrange that and…..”
“What about Rose? Will her tent also be like that?”Louis asked and he nodded .
“Will Yu si Feng be using the same tent as her’s?”Louis asked again interrupting him.
“He Will”Martin replied and immediately Louis went off insearch of Rose.
Rose got to her assigned tent only to see two female and a male in the tent. Judging by the new faces, she could tell that they were students from the neighbouring school.
“Hello”they greeted her warmly and she returned picking a space to use as hers.
She heard the girls yell out as someone walk in and she turned to see Yu si Feng walking in.
Seems like he is also popular at his school, she thought as he spotted her.
“Am glad we are sharing the same tent pretty”He said as he walked towards her.
“Am also glad but why are you suddenly calling me pretty?”Rose asked.
“It’s because you are pretty. Don’t you like it?”He asked.
“I do afterall am pretty”Rose replied as she gave him a smile.
The same girls gave out a yell again while starring at the entrance.
Rose followed their gaze only to see Louis standing there.
He had an angry look on his face as he walked towards them.
“Pack your stuff. We are leaving”He said as he took hold of her bag but she stopped him.
“What’s going on?”Rose asked and he stared at Yu si Feng before replying.
“Turns out that the mixing of both segz In a room is all Yu si Feng and Martin idea. They think it’s best that you all stay together so you can have a steamy night”He said this in English while glaring at Yu si Feng.
“Is it true?”Rose asked
“It was never my idea. It’s all Martin”Yu si Feng replied.
“There is no use in putting all the blame on Martin. You also accepted and that makes you a partner in this. Rose won’t be staying here. She will be coming with me “Louis said as he took hold of her hand but she pulled away.
“Its no big deal staying here. I can manage on my own. You don’t have to concern yourself with me”She said quickly.
“Is that so? Then I have no choice than to do this” Louis said as he carried her into his arms.
“What are you doing? Put me down!”She said as she tried to get off.
“I won’t let you stay here. It’s either you share my tent with me or we head back home. Decide for yourself” he said to her and at first she thought he was joking but when she saw that he meant it. She decided to give in.
“I will share your room”She said to him and he began to walk off with her still in his arms when he stopped to stare at Yu si Feng.
“I told you already. She’s mine. So get rid of any thoughts you have towards her” he spoke in Chinese this time before leaving the room with Rose in his arms.
