Chapter Twenty & Twenty one
“Just watching the thriller alone definitely tells me that it will be fun to watch” Rose said as she kept on laughing with Peter while Louis stood at a distance starring at them.
“Then you better watch it. Once I finish getting the link then I will send it to you”Peter replied.
“That’s great but can I watch the thriller again. It’s just so funny” Rose said and once again they stared at the phone in Peter hand. Laughing out loud.
Now he knew why she hadn’t come to visit him at the hospital. That’s because she has been busy with Peter.
Still angry at her for not not noticing his presence. He brought out her phone and dialled her number.
He watched her pull out her phone from her pocket and stared at the caller. Without bothering to answer. She tucked it back into her pocket.
“Won’t you pick?” Louis heard Peter asking her.
“It’s a spam call”she replied and hearing her say that infuriated him more.
He stood out of view and watched them depart. She began heading back to the kitchen when he finally showed himself to her.
“Is my call really unimportant to you?”He asked suddenly scaring Rose.
“Where on earth did you show up from?”She asked still startled by his arrival.
“Answer me. I asked first”He said to her.
“What do you want me to answer?”
“Why you ignore my call and why you called it a spam ?”He said to her.
“Listening to other people conversation is wrong” She said as she turned to leave but he blocked her path.
“Your ignoring me again. I had to eavesdrop because a certain someone didn’t even give me a proper welcome”He said.
“I forgot that you were going to be discharged today. Am sorry that I wasn’t there to give you the welcome you deserve” She replied.
“Forgot! How can you forget something very important?” He asked clearly offended.
“Have been busy with work. I work like crazy in this house of yours”She returned.
“Then you shouldn’t have accept my offer” he returned.
“And whose fault is it that I lost my first job. I already apologised. So stop being petty about it young master” she added as she walked past him. Heading to the kitchen.
“Did you just call me petty?”he yelled as he went after her.

“Is the dinner to your liking?”Mrs Brad asked Louis who was having his dinner at the dinning room.
“Of course. As always you are the best”He said and the older woman gave him a smile in return.
While Mrs Brad busied herself with setting out more of the dishes she had cooked. Louis stared at his phone.
After their confrontation earlier. He hasn’t seen Rose. When he asked of her from the other maid. They told him that she had been sent on an errand and she hasn’t been back.
He has been calling and texting her but there was no response. He could have had his dinner in his room but because he wanted to know when she arrive. He decided to have it at the dinning room which was close to the kitchen and there is still no sign of her.
“Where are you? It’s getting late”He texted and there was no reply.
“Mrs Brad don’t you think Rose is getting late”He asked
“You are right? Have sent her to the supermarket close by and she should be back by now. Do you think she went somewhere else ?”Mrs Brad asked
“I doubt that. I will go and check on her”He said not listening to Mrs Brad who kept calling him back.
He got out of the house heading to the garage when he saw her walking in with a parcel in her hand.
” Where have you been? Do you even know what time it is?”He asked as soon as she walked close to him.
“There were a lot of people there”She replied as she walked past him.
“If they were. Why didn’t you pick my call?”He asked as he followed her.
“That’s because my phone is on silent. I didn’t even know you were calling”She returned.
“I don’t think so”He returned.
“What do you mean?” She asked as she turned to look at him.
“What i mean is that you are intentionally ignoring my calls and you intentionally didn’t visit or join the staff in welcoming me because you are trying to avoid me”he said
“Your right in saying am ignoring you and that’s only because it’s the time of the month and am having menstrual cramps which always make me cranky. So if you don’t want to get me mad just drop it”She said.
“So your saying it’s because of your cramps that you acting this way?”He asked.
“Yes. My sister knows it’s dangerous for her to get close to me when it’s this time of the month. So it’s best that you stay away too”She said and turned to leave only to clutch her stomach. Groaning out in pain.
