Chapter Fourteen.
Rose walked out of the Principal office as she stuffed up the dirt bag. Heading to the thrash block.
It was her class to clean the school and even as the other students left for home. She stayed back to do her part.
She was almost to the thrash block when her phone began to ring. On seeing the caller, she sighed before picking.
“What now?”She asked the caller.
“Where are you? I waited at the school entrance but you didn’t show up?”Louis asked yelling at her through the phone and Rose imagined him standing in front of her and she smiled wistfully.
“Our class is cleaning today. Can you help me make excuse at work. I will be there later on”She replied.
“You should have told them that you wouldn’t do the cleaning. No one would dare say a thing if you told them it was by my order and besides your meant to be out on a date with Peter”Louis said.
“I already told you that am not going and I already told him that during our rooftop meeting” she replied as she recalled her meeting with Peter earlier.
She had given an excuse so she wouldn’t go out on a date with him. She knew she had promised herself to stop loving Louis but she couldn’t do that. The more they were close to each other. The more she kept on falling and that isn’t fair to Peter.
“You fool! You shouldn’t have done that”Louis yelled at her.
“Did you just call me a fool?”She asked
“Yes! How can you lose such an opportunity. Well I won’t give up. I will just have to set something up again”He said
“Don’t do a thing Louis”She said
“Well I already did”he replied.
“What did you do?” She asked.
“I sent a text to Peter saying you were at the amusement Park waiting for him”He said .
“You shouldn’t have done that!” She yelled at him.
“Just go to him. It wouldn’t be good if you keep him waiting”he said.
“Why do you insist on getting me together with Peter?”She yelled suddenly annoyed.
“Isn’t that what you want and afterall it’s the deal we made”he replied.
“The deal is all you care about right? Well you can text Peter back and tell him not to go because I won’t be going”She said as she end the call. Annoyed at him for trying to match make her and Peter together.
She would have been excited some few weeks ago if he had done that but her heart doesnt belong to Peter again and she doubt if it would ever happen again.
He began calling again when she got to the thrash block.
“I won’t pick up”she said softly and was about to leave when something was used to cover her nose. She tried to free herself but instead she found herself losing consciousness.

“What are you doing all glued up to your phone? You’ve been at it for a while now?”Martin asked as he and Louis stayed in the room used for Guest who came to visit Louis at his home.
“Am trying to get through to Rose but she is not picking” Louis replied.
“Just let her be. She might be with Lilian” Martin replied.
“Lilian is not with her. I just texted her to confirm”Louis returned.
“What about Peter? Have you asked him?”
“I tried to but he isn’t picking too”He replied.
“She might probably be doing her thing. You should stop worrying”Martin said as he ate the snacks the maid brought in.
“I can’t seem to stop myself from worrying about her”Louis said thinking about Rose.
“You know, if I didn’t know that you were dating Lilian. I would have thought that Rose is the one you are dating”Martin said.
“Dating Rose! That’s impossible”He replied.
“Why is that impossible? She is cute and if she weren’t into Peter. I would have go for her too”Martin returned.
“Cute! You call her cute? More like a thug to me. She is nothing cute at all”Louis said
“Really? Is that what you really think? You don’t find Rose attractive?”Martin asked.
“Of course not. To me she is just someone I need to have beside me”he replied and Martin nodded.
Just then the door opened and Peter walked in.
“Thank God you are here. Did you see Rose?”Louis asked.
“Just like you texted. I went to the park but there was no sign of her”Peter replied as he took a seat.
“That girl…”Louis said as he called her again and when she didn’t pick. He began to text her.
“Pick up your phone” he texted.
“A bit busy. Call me later”She texted in return.
“Really? Where are you right now?”he texted again
“Why do you want to know” she texted in return.
“Are you at the amusement park?”He texted and it took a while before she replied.
“Yes”
“She says she is at the amusement park? Didn’t you see her?”Louis asked Peter.
“That’s odd. I was standing at the entrance a long time and she never showed up”Peter replied.
“You could have missed each other”Martin chipped in.
“The amusement park was closed due to a service outbreak and I waited for her cause I knew that she would be on her way. I intended to take her else where but she never showed up”Peter replied.
Finding it strange, Louis texted her again. “Is the amusement park open?”
“Of course. Am there right now”She message.
“Are you there with Peter?”He texted again and though it took a while for her to answer. She did.
“Yes. I am”
It was then he knew that something had gone wrong.
“Martin do you know if Rose class is assigned to be cleaned today?”He asked knowing Martin had all the info about it.
“Rose class is meant to clean next week. I know that because I did it myself” he replied.
“But Rose told me that they were cleaning today”Louis said.
“Did she get it wrong? The juniors are meant to clean this week”Martin said confirming Louis fear.
Rose didn’t pick up his call and she isn’t the one replying because something bad has happened to her. He thought as he ran out of the room leaving Peter and Martin starring after him.
